Siena: Like most con artists, once backed into a corner, like a trapped rat they bite. You have no link at the Canadian embassy. Do you truly think every embassy is as corrupt as you are? Or like the Nigerian system, where "settlement" talks? You're a very corrupt, shameless individual trying to lift money off the desperate many who are most likely to fall into your nasty snare. You're skint, and in an attempt to make an Easter killing, will sacrifice anything.
4 months for a visa? Unless the Canadian embassy building is still under construction, it wouldn't take that long. At that rate, the applicants would all have died of old age by the time their visa's were issued.
The Canadian Embassy completion date keeps changing, because Gpowered and his merry crew in charge of destruction "construction" have "chopped" the contract money! Hence he's here trying to raise money for the roof to be built. |

igbogolo: Tonytux, My sentiments exactly! But in Nigeria strange things carry the day and you would even be surprised at what goes on at the VFS office in Lagos. I have thralled through the UKBA requirements with her to verify why such a thing should happen in Lagos. Maybe as justwise said, they use nigerian statements to verify authenticity as I have no other explanation for something like this. I have advised her to go ahead with her lloyds statement. Lets see what happens afterwards. Kind regards, Igbogolo You and ur gf should go ahead and apply, i really do not see any serious reason for refusing foreign bank statement that could be easily verified |
Travel › Re: Uk Post Study Visa In Nigeria With Uk Bank Account by justwise(mod): 9:30am On Apr 14, 2011 |
tunnytox: As far as I know VFS are not responsible for processing your visa so their job is merely to convey your application to the British embassy. They do not have any power to decide or determine for you which bank statement you want to use and where the bank statement originated from that is the Job if the ECO. So forget about the claim that you won't be allowed to use UK bank statement for your application in Nigeria because this is not true I was thinking along the same line as well but the poster said a friend told him that VFS do not accept foreign bank statement. |

bluerange: greeting to u all.
Pls am writing to inquire about my sister's chances of getting a UK Visa. She is a final student of UNILAG (DLI) and would be graduating by Nov. She wants to travel to the UK by May and be back by August to round up her school programme. She has a friend in the UK who is willing to provide letter of invitation and bank statement and accomodation though not from the same state of origin. my family owns a private school here in lagos which my brother runs, i remember 3 yrs ago, he gave a cover note to someone identifying her as a staff of the school which she use to process her UK Visa. My sister was denied UK visa 6yrs ago when she was to accompany our father on a medical trip because she was 21 then and BHC was insisting on 30+ then. Please what is her best uption. thanks for the anticipated response, Its 50/50 chances, proving her tie to Nigeria is the most difficult part, can get a letter from her school in Nigeria, her course details, progress result and make that she is traveling during her school holiday. Her friend in the uk can give her the letter, tenacy agreement, bank statement and data page of his or her passport. Finger crossed she maybe given a visa. |

igbogolo: Hi Justwise,
I just received a mail from vfs where they just referred me to their website and to the UKBA website. The UKBA website only wants evidence of 2800GBP as maintenance funds and nowhere did it require that the funds must be denominated in the country's currency. I would be safe to assume they want an equivalent of 2800GBP going by current exchange rates. If the account was legally opened when she was admitted to study and is even denominated in UK's currency. then I really doubt the rationale behind VFS refusing to accept UK bank account statements for this purpose. I have told her to go ahead and travel with her documents to Nigeria. If anything happens ( I doubt it though), I will write it here for others to learn.
Thanks for everything.Kind regards, Igbogolo I think VFS is finding it difficult to verify foreign bank statements hence the need to use local bank statement, u and ur gf can try and see if they will accept it, i know ur gf wouldn't submit fake foregin but the activities of some of our 9ja brothers are affecting every decent 9ja. Yes its the equivalent of £2800, use oanda for the convertion cos that is the only currency convertion website BHC accepts. |

Gpowered79: Anyway am using a strong connection in their embassy which you might never know about now maybe latter, but my link is confirm and legit. like i said in my thread above you dont have to pay dime until you have arrive in the country of your choice then your people will give us our cash, is that simple. Stop lying to urself and get real, gateman at the embassy is ur connection or ur gf is the ECO there. Some of poor con-artist still think that pple are silly enough to believe this connection nonsense. |

Travel › Re: The Case Of 3 German Police Officers & 1 Deportee & Ghana Police by justwise(mod): 7:02pm On Apr 13, 2011 |
Abrantie: The real question is why did the Ghana Embassy in Germany issue him a passport if he wasn't Ghanaian? The nationality issue could have been sorted out before anyone boarded a plane. Why didn't the detainee just say he wasn't Ghanaian if he really wanted to remain in Germany, and save himself a long, unnecessary and stressful journey? Also, I think three officers was a bit much to escort one handcuffed and unarmed deportee.
That's a plausible explanation, except I find it had to believe he took a wild gamble hoping when he arrives in Ghana, and changes his nationality by mouth, the Ghana authorities will just put him back on the plane to Germany. If that was his plan all along, then he's a genius and that was a heck of a gamble. We don't know what he told the Ghanaian govt at the airport that prompted their action to refuse him as a Ghanaian. He probably doesn't have a passport but TC and can easily accuse the German authority of forcing him to get one and claim to be a Ghanaian. |
