I think the attack on MAC OS X and other apple products will increase with time, with many of their phones and other devices runing OS just like laptops and getting wildly used, the hackers and other bad guys will shift their attention to MAC OS X.

Yes MS is still their number one target but apple will be included to that list pretty soon as they gain popularity.

The whole computer, Virus/Av/malaware. . etc market is a con, they all boast each other's product, one bad news to one coy is good news to another, that is how the market works, the end-users pays the price.

i guess from the standpoint that osx is a nix based os, out of the box it is, plus the far lesser malware for it.

but if you truly knew what u doing, and paranoid enuf, even windows can be secure.



problem really is very few pple know how to properly use a windows system! the way it is, you could use if for years and not know the slightest security measure.

therefore as a noob, sure osx is more secure BUT what is the use of a security vault when the owner leaves it open? u culd be easily more insecure on osx if u do the wrong things!

Thanks for ur reply, you know i was thinking, if MAC OS X is that secured how come many pple go for windows then? Yes i know cost play a part but considering advantages of having a secured system, many busniess would have stock up Mac os x rather than windows which seems to be prefered OS.

And who told that they don't have their own problem? You haven't seen alot of Africans graduating and doing professional jobs? If you want to know about Asians and their crime waves visit yorkshire or other part of north of England, u seems to know only about black kids.

It happens both ways, African brothers marry for paper as well, even pay to marry a lesbo for paper. I think you are  one of the few that think that England is the best place to bring up kids. Who has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in western Europe? Third-highest number of 15 and 16-year-olds with an alcohol problem in Europe? Nigeria still remain much better place to bring up kids. Nigerian families in the Uk would have done much better for sure but the law has taken away almost all the parental
rights from them

Many single mothers are far better than some wkend dadys/sperm donor, this prob is not only about black kids, it cut across all communities. Not just london black kids, cities across the Uk suffers kids ant-social behaviour. Talking about Asians, visit places like Bradford, Manchester and other cities in North of England and see what young Asians do there. Yes many suffers cos of lack of male authority in their lives however, even with mum and dady, their hands are tied cos of some rediculous govt policies, teachers can't tell them off, their parent can't and the kids knows that.

I was having this discusion with a friend who is a big fan of MAC OS X, he claimed that MAC OS X is more secured than windows. Is he right?

First question is do you live in England? I have to ask this because there are a lot of generalisations and outright falsehoods in your post in your post.
The main problem in these inner cities is in fact poor parenting, in a culture where imparting good morals into children is deemed the sole responsibility of the parents and not the community as is the case of a country like Nigeria.Other races cope fine with this responsibility so the main issues lie within the black/Nigerian communities in the inner cities

Bros i have to disagree with u here, kids in the Uk got more right than anybody else, they are practically above the law, their parents are helpless. Please Nigeria is far better than the UK when it comes to child up bringing. Its madness here, you have to feel sorry for any parent here.

isi4luv yes you are allowed to work full time during the holiday, since u are starting Jan, u will be able to work full time during summer holiday which starts around MAy till Sept. Your school may demand the remaining fees the moment u resume cos you have told the BHC in Nigeria that you have ALL the fees plus the £5400 maintenance fees, so they expect you to meet all ur financial needs without working.

I have been there, done it, so i'm writing from personal experience.

Please i'm not trying to scare u or something, yes God can do anything, but let face the reality here. Actually minimum wage in the uk is £5.93 and not £7.00, let say you are paid £7 an hr, 10hrs a wk will give u £70, in a month u have £280.
That £280 will be rent, gas bill, electricity, water bill, and TV licence(if u pay one). then u have to feed urself, maybe phone bills.

Based on 280 a month, in 6months u will have £1680, and you will have the remaining 50% fees to pay(£3.500)
You may decide to work more hrs but that is risky cos if u are caught then God help you. All i can wish you is good luck, but think carefully.

But doing ielts nw is a long process 4 me as i wud like 2 be in manchester 4 d january resumption. I don't see you meeting that target, since u are going for a cource below degree level, u will only be allowed to work only 10hrs wk, don't rush it, getting a work may not even be easy, just be careful else u will not enjoy ur time in the UK.

Just be careful about all these colleges some of them teach in urdu instead of English! you'll think you are in another planet when you find yourself in the midst of many Pakistani students who can't speak English and being taught in urdu

There are alot of such colleges in north of England, with little or no facilities at all, located in block of flats. Foreign students are their cash machine.

Any course below degree level in the UK requires you to do ielts, foundation degree courses are not included.

You will only be issued CAS, not visa letter when you pay the deposit or all the fees.
