HOTandCOLD: Look at what nigerians go through all over the world and none of us even bother to contact our nigerian embassies or high commissions. What do they really do if they can't even assist someone with a green passport. I see foreigners demanding to call their diplomatic representatives at any and every given time but all we do is suffer through it all. Trust me, the green passport experience is not funny. Nigeria High Commission can't help you in a case like this. The lady is even lucky that she was given a place to stay for 7days and medical treatment. Alot of pple were left at the airport that period till the volcanic ash problem was over. Sometimes we Nigerians are quick to play the 'victim card' while we forgot to do the right thing first. |

AngieFan: It is a subjective view but I personally believe that the US is better for Nigerians seeking to leave Nigeria. Everything is BIG in America and I think Nigerians would adapt to that more than the our smaller Island, the UK.
For me there is no place like home (UK) but I do like living in the US at times. It is bearable for me because I have enough vacation time to fly home if I choose. By the end of this year I hope to be permanently based in the UK and Europe. How will that work? |

BAC: What surprises me most about USA is this.
The number 1 selling product in the USA is Crack Cocaine. And that does not mean the people that sell it provides a good customer service or they are good at selling, in fact if you miss one monthly payment they will send you to the grave, compared to a main stream company that will send you a reminder letter.Well I would have suggest USA is best if you are looking at going into buying and selling but, I don't know, thinking deep about this, I suggest you come to UK if you like fried chicken, there are all sorts of chicken shops here and the price is very attractive. There is NY fried chicken, Washington fried chicken, kenturky friend chicken and others you can make up as long as the first name is a state in the USA, lately i have even seen obama fried chicken as well (near brixton station). Or stay in Nigeria if you can manage with Nepa. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, you are one crack nut. .ahahahaha |

DonSegmond: Home is where the heart is at. Home is where you make it. I'm in the US and this is my home. I love it here, If I don't ever go back to Naija, I really wouldn't give a F! A few things need to be correct before I can make Naija home. decent roads, safety, constant supply of clean water, constant supply of electric, then internet connection. That's it, some people are managing, good for them, I don't want to manage. Some people are going to say, come back and implement the change, I'm not a politician or have any interests in politics or working on things like that.Yup, Naija is my roots, but it's not my home anymore! Thank you!!!!! |

rhufffryda: I want to give my gf about $1,000.00, the equivalent of 3,600 AED for her holiday trip in dubai? I am not conversant with the currency value in dubai or how cheap/expensive things are there. But with that amount, and considering she would be interested in usual things like clothes, accessories, bags etc. is this amount enough for her trip, or is it an extravagant allowance, or will it barely be enough. Thanks No amount is too small or too big, it all depend on ur gf's taste. |
