Of course they handle applications from so-called "high-risk" countries like Nigeria much differently and with more bias than those from other countries not classed as such. That's a given, no need to argue the point further. A lot of the applications turned down here and in other so-called high risk countries would be successful if the applicants either had different nationalities or domiciles. They use AI to filter out those from their so-called high-risk countries and handle them separately.

With respect to the specific case of the error made confusing Nigeria and Ghana, it is arguable that that specific intent to deny may have contributed to the carelessness, but there's no evidence for that. In any event, that person should contact UKVI and point out that their application appears not to have been properly handled, given the glaring error.
This is not the same as intentionally refusing people visa.

Of course no embassy should handle application from Nigerians the same way they will handle application from developed countries.

Majority of Nigerians forged, lie and make up stories in their application, you can not and should not take a documents submitted by Nigerians, produced in Nigeria at face value, it has to be properly verified because many Nigerian can forged anything.

Yes embassies do make mistake, no doubt and when you complain with evidence they ratify it and issue you a visa.

@Cyberknight God bless you with this info you have given and understanding. Every time someone gives info that opposes Justwise idea and opinion, justwise will say you are misleading people.

When the ECO are exposed, they turned it to mistake or error. I will repeat when ECO sees one mistake or missing docs in applicant from high risk country, the ECO would refuse straight without further assessment of other docs and act like they didn’t see the docs. Why do you we have to start using cover letter, years back we didn’t normally use cover letter. Let’s think about it why are we using it now? Justwise be guided and let people be aware of what’s going on around them for better future.

@Justwise think about it this way, if an ECO decided to use one missing doc to refuse and ignore other relevant docs. Which they do most times, cant such thing be called intentional acthuh Don’t say to me I’m confusing myself, I know what I’m saying.

Recently they gave papers to people in UK a lot compare to before that’s so hard, ukno why coz they are preparing for workforce after Brexit. Before your docs can be with home office 2+ years but now so quick. Some actions can’t be proven but it exits. People aware of it would make them more prepared and not get too worried and hope for the best. Well all my opinion, doesnt mean fact though. As human we use what’s going on around us to think and give opinion.
One basic problem with you is the lack of knowledge, if you have bothered to read around you would have read from people who got called for interview, cover letter is not a must if you have nothing to explain, you add cover letter just to give more details about your application.

You are definitely confused and yes you know what you are talking about but it makes sense to you alone.

Good morning.
Please my Parents are about submitting their visiting visa application in Nigeria and then I discovered some of their original documents like birth certificates and declaration of age are with me in UK. Please can I send the original copy to the Nigerian Embassy in London or I should just send via DHL to Nigeria cry so that they submit in person?
Do that

Oga Justwise nothing misleading, it’s an obvious info. Do you think they process third world countries visa application same with western countries, prove me wrong.

They know the desperation that third world countries (developing countries)wanting to move to UK. You can submit everything and still get refused by stating they are not satisfied and doubted you so what you saying?

Share the truth don’t hide it and life goes on.

Even UK immigration lawyers are aware of this and are helping to protest it, infact not only them, it’s obvious to many.

My advice to all applicants should make sure they submit all the right docs and leave nothing out not to allow ECO to have any reasons for silly refusal.

Good example, a student in Nigeria studying will be refused to visit UK but if he moves to Europe to study then his chances of getting UK visit visa from any Europe country would increase. Not just talking ok have experienced many of this scenarios. The ECO do really get hard on applicants from Africa due to record of overstaying and misused of visit visa.

Well known that chances of Africans overstaying and misusing of their visit visa is high, reason they get hard on us while making a decision. So oga Justwise what’s misleading?

Or you think if they issue visa to all applicants that submitted right docs from all countries, won’t UK get full up. Let’s face the reality and hope for the best nothing misleading.
Everything you said here got nothing to do with your first comment I responded to.

You are just jumping from one issue to another contradicting yourself.

How do you know that the embassy intentionally refused applicants visa without proper processing?

Yes you can if you are a frequent traveler or show that you plan to travel frequently to the UK this year onward.

Hahaha this is a big mistake by the ECO, a single complaint email or PAP will solve this issue. Once they make mistake like this, no choice to grant you the visa coz they won’t want this to go public. Have experienced it before, don’t mind ECOs, their intention is to refuse without proper assessment of applicant visa form.

You got a strong case to win here bro
Stop putting out this sort of misleading information.

This is what Nigeria should be doing too. As the biggest market in the sub-sahara region, we should be negotiating better deals with the UK for ourselves, we have better leverage now as they need us more than we need them.

One can only hope our leaders have the foresight to do the right thing and seize the opportunity.

Hello house! My aunty who is a dental nurse in a FG institution wishes to go for a dental conference in the UK in May. She is a single mom of an 18mnts baby. If she applies, will she be allowed to go with her baby? How will she go about it? And she has once been denied a visit visa 2years ago.
She has to apply for herself and the baby and pay for both, this is not a trip from Lagos to Abuja where you buy one ticket and lap your baby.

She will also need letter of consent from the baby's father else immigration will not allow her to board.

She needs to make an arrangement for child care in the U.K while she is attending the conference because she will not carry the baby into the conference hall.

2.You enter a joint bank account (credited with the a..greed cost)with one of our staff members .
3. You will be called at the appropriate time to come to the embassy/VSF office for biometrics & visa application submission. Note you are to finance the visa fees+ the biometrics
4. When the visa comes out, you transfer the agreed amount to our corporate account..
5. Optional:you can choose to verify the visa (before payment according to item 4) with colour copy of the visa, in accompany with our staff. The applicant pays the verification cost if demanded.

Hi all,
I’m a silent reader. I’m reaching out in regards to my sister. She left for the UK early this month and didn’t enroll at her university. She was given 2 years visa for a two years msc course. She said she intends working part time for a year and applying to a cheaper school with one year masters for the 2nd year of her visa.
She confessed to me that she lent her boyfriend her school fees and the man said he will pay her back monthly starting from next month.
She doesn’t have any money left with her that is why she hasn’t enrolled.
She doesn’t want me to tell our parents.
She said her boyfriend told her that she won’t be in trouble once she gets admitted to another school by year 2.
Kindly advise her.
She is also on this forum.
The school will report her to UKBA and her visa will be cancelled then she will receive a letter from immigration asking her to leave the UK

Alright. I want to apply for masters in the UK, my aunt wants to sponsor me. And I know she can't. I will either have to have the cash in my account or my mom's. So I was just wondering, when applying to the school how do I pay my school fees? Cause I want my aunt to pay the school fees right there in England instead of sending the money to Nigeria. But I know and I have money for feeding and housing here in Nigeria for visa.
That is not a problem, she can pay that then send the maintenance money into your account.
