urch999: okay bro thanks alot....
i need more clarification on this.
d tax i have is individual tax, i knew i will travel someday so thats why i ve been paying d personal tax.......
but i really want to know if d individual tax will be okay or must it be corporate tax?because like i said before i am going to present my company informations with a personal bank acc .
so is it advicible to present d individual tax or i should go obtain the corporate tax? which i know will b very expensive for me........ will appreciate morw of ur candid advice. thanks At least you pay some sort of tax, like I said before it all down to how good you put this down in your application form, explaining clarify how you run your business and also remember that you are likely to be called for an interview so you will use that opportunity to clarify things. |

No he can't use his business account but he has to include it in the application as a proof for his tie to Nigeria and source of his income. The money for trip has to come from his personal account whether savings or current account. He also need to attach his tax receipts, business registration paper and other properties he may have....car, houses, shares/other investments |

Missdodo: Hello people, I actually applied for and got my business visa, thanks to your advice. Now comes my dilema, cliche as it may sound ... I want my husband and 2 kids to join me in the UK after the training, so please my questions are:
1. My husband doesn't have a tax clearance so I plan on sponsoring since I have a job and good travel history (husband n kids have been to schengen countries and south africa). Question is, can I sponsor without raising any suspicions?
2. I have a joint investment accounts with my dad and my husband (separate accounts), but not enough in my current account. Will the ECO rely on my current account balance only?
3. If I'm sponsoring, do I need to mention to joint account with hubby? cos it doesn't make sense to me for wife to sponsor n present a joint account with hubby. they may as well both sponsor the trip.
pls if we don't have a good chance, I need to know so we don't throw money away. we can visit another country and do UK some other time.
Thanks very much. really anticipating your response. Apart from the joint bank account do you have enough for the trip? |

rhoso: Thank you @ Justwise
I got this refusal last week, my salary for last month has been paid and I have about 1.1m in my account. My friend that gave me an invite also said he can write as a co-sponsor..also I plan reducing the amount I will spend on the trip from the initial 1,800GBP to 1,100GBP.
Thank you. Was the cost of accommodation included in your first application or did you state that your friend who is inviting will help? |

rhoso: I applied for a UK visitors visa but got refused, find below a part of the refusal letter-
You have stated on your application that you are single and employed as an ....... and earn 210,000 NGN (£668.63) per month. You have provided an employment letter and payslips to support this.
• You state that you have £1,800 available for your proposed trip. As evidence of available funds you have submitted bank statements from .... Bank and ... Bank showing combined funds of 910,871.76 (£2,900.17). I do not find it credible that you would spend almost two thirds of your savings on a holiday given your personal circumstances. This causes me to doubt that the purpose of your visit is as stated.
• In light of all of the above I am not satisfied as to your intentions in wishing to travel to the United Kingdom and will leave the UK at the end of your visit. Furthermore, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds available to cover your costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. You application for a visit visa has been refused under paragraph V4.2 (a) (e)
Any future UK visa applications you make will be considered on their individual merits, however you are likely to be refused unless: • your personal circumstances change significantly between now and your next application • you provide compelling new evidence with your next application
I want to reapply, what advise can you give me? Thank you Has anything changed since the last time you applied? |

jnrbanks: @justwise tanx boss... am still looking for d one dat will give me £5000 fee discount ... Jst kidding will put every thought in mind b4 deciding.
Please about d accepting multiple conditional offers..what say u? any repercussions plus is der any harm in terminating a conditional offer after accepting? tnx Nothing wrong with that at all, but if you have made part-payment then you will not get all the money back. |

jnrbanks: @justwise, spike C etc... HELP!!!
owkay...now I've got ur attention . here's d drift please I need candid advice on which school to accept btw
a) Coventry University which is doing pretty gud amongst oda schools plus dey've got sum pretty career programs (such as d GLP and IEMS) dat will really benefit me. AND
b) Sheffield Hallam University which is also not bad in d ranking and they are giving me £3000 discount (Dats close to a million box ). plus its cost of living is cheaper dan Coventry.
Now my Igbo sense keeps telling me 'young man Sheffield hallam is d best (I believe u knw why).
so I don't knw...I need advice.
2) .. is der any thing wrong in accepting conditional offers from 2-3 different schools...i knw someone who did and is seeking ur advice. if he made a mistake by accepting d offers ( Conditional) and ow to go about it. Ranking matters but if Sheffield Hallam University gives you that generous discount then go for it, you will need that money badly, work hard and get good result that will compensate for the ranking in some ways. Ranking changes, Coventry is ranked 15 in one website while the other one ranked the same university 45, if they are not giving you good discount then go for Sheffield Hallam University. Number of foreign students coming to the UK now has reduced so schools has to give discounts or other stuff to attract foreign students. |

worry357: Better still! Let her open a bank account for you in your name with a UK bank and put the money in there, let it mature for 28 days minimum and also get a letter from her stating what she has paid in. That way there are no bank charges and the letter will satisfy the visa officer. You can't have UK bank account opened for you while you still live in Nigeria. That is fraud |

Dammy112: @Justwise...its my mum,so is it possible to use her account in UK to apply in Nigeria or it has 2 be a naija acct Never come across somebody who used foreign bank statement to apply for student visa. How about getting the money transferred into your Nigerian account? She can pay your fees and send you the maintenance money. |

my own qstn is.... a friend is inviting me for his graduation in the uk and i am a business owner and i want to sponsor my self down there. i have booked hotel n would want to stay for 12days.
but what i feel is a problem now is the fact that i do not have a company acc, i use savings for my business and ive got huge and small funds moving in n out of the acc.
can i still use the acc to apply as a company owner? Ur urgent response will be highly appreciated. thanks in advance. You really don't have any other option now than to use that account. What you need to do is to explain in details how you run your business, how much profit you make monthly/yearly etc. Do you pay tax? |

blackcat1: If someone has dual nationality, Nigerian and British how do you do it. Do you present the Nigeria pass on arrival in Nigeria and the the British on arrival in the UK? Or do you present both passports to the immigration officers of each country upon arrival? That is exactly what you need to do. |
