juniorcruz: Thanks a lot @stevemims, I was only asking to be very sure of what am doing @justwise, cause my agent told me that it is possible, and moreover I've been to the U.S embassy 4 times last year and the keep denying me the F-1 student visa without a reason all my documents are not forged and can be verified but still yet they refused me, so its not like I don't want to go to the embassy cause I have been there befor....so when my agent came up with this idea, I just wanted to be sure, cause at first I was happy, then later I asked him. "How is it possible to apply for a visa when u are not even in your own country"?, then he said " so long as my I-20, admission packet and sevis fee is valid, it can be possible" so I quickly signed up here on narialand yesterday and asked this questions in diffrent forums so that I will know what am getting into.... Ok, credit to you for trying to find out the truth. Don't risk it though |

fazo14: Good evening all,I have been out of here a little while now but have followed the thread closely, celebrating with every1 who has succeded in getting visa and praying with all expecting the good news, I was waitING and hoping to come back and share my good news, but sadly I do not bring good news yet, I do pray n hope someday soon. I need advice on what next best step to take. I applied for visit visa severally and was refused, in 2013 used an agent ,however I accept responsiblity for it ,a falsified bank statement was used n I got refused on 320 (7a). In 2014 I got married,my spouse who is my sponsor was on point based, tier 1,so after marriage we applied, for dependent visa, got refused and the reason given was that my spouse bank statements are not originals but Internet print out, which wasn't true they were given by the bank, but it was signed, so we appealed the decision. After the appeal in march 2014, I got a call in may to submit my passport which I did, however upon collection,I wasnt issued visa, instead I was given another refusal note stating that I have been refused on 320 (7b). We then appealed this as well. We got 2 court dates for Feb 2015 for the first refusal about bank statement been Internet printout and April 2015 for the refusal on 320 (7b) we received. In Feb my sponsor went for the first court hearing, and the home office lawyer was particular about discussing the 320 (7b)my sponsor explained to the judge that we have 2 court dated and this was meant for the bank statement not been original, that the next hearing will deal with 320 (7b) more so becos we weren't prepared nor has our bundle been sent, so both hearing was adjorned to April 2015, in March 2015,my spouse applied and got Indefinite Leave to Remain. So we went to court in April, and the case was dealt with, the judge asked questions as well as d home office lawyer and he answered them all,The judge asked if it was started in d spouse application that we had initially been refused on 320(7a) he said yes and the judge asked to see the copy of the application which was given to him, from the court we had hoped to get good news about the decision, unfortunately we received the decision and the judge upheld the decision not to grant visa, and he dismissed the case. Now anyone please we need your advice, direction, knowledge what is the next best positive approach to this, because we are so confused right now and very unhappy. Please any1 who can advice, pls pls pls we are waiting,Justwise, girlio, any1 we will deeply me grateful. Thanks alot n God bless the good work going on here. Really sorry to read about this, have you or your sponsor been to court for the two cases now or just one? |

juniorcruz: Hello guys I'm going to cuba with a tourist visa, and am planing to enter into the united states , cause I just admission, and my I-20 and sevis fee are all intact, is It possible to obtain a student visa there at the boarder of cuba/mexico? Please I'll be waiting for your wonderful replies People gave you these answers in the other thread you opened and you are here again asking the same question Miami11: No it's not possible, absolutely not don't even think about it.
First you are not a Cuban to qualify for Cuban special program They will send you back to apply from your home country Lucasbalo: Please don't try it because it is impossible. There is nothing for you to do in Cuba except sightseeing. Been there and nothing much because the US embargo of over fifty years have bastardized the country. It's a beautiful country about 80 miles away from Florida. Why do we Nigerians always look for a way to break every possible immigration law? What stops you from applying for US student visa in Nigeria if you can afford to study there? |

I want to find out if a letter from her grad school here in Nigeria would suffice. I mean if the school confirms that her first degree was taught in English language. Thanks for the prompt response. That will help since your sister has a degree. |

kd26: Hey guys i am very confused... Please help me
I got my uk tier 4 visa recently...the start date of my course is 10 june,2015 and it is private college(but highly trusted sponsor)
The real problem is my visa stamp... In the BRP visa stamp ,observation - allowed to work for 10 hours/week term time. But college says as we are private college yu are not allowed to work , it seems ukba did an error in visa stamp so yu have to inform them by using adminstrative review in 14 days.
But i m very confused what to do because if i go with review they can take 30-40 days to review my application. Anyone know can i inform them after arrival in uk or i have to take review? Please help me if yu have experience or knowledge regarding this problem. worry357 is right, don't bother about it if you don't plan to work in the UK. Your visa is still valid with or without the 10hrs work comment on your visa |

hercules906: thanks a lot @justwise, all your points have been taken, but since my travel date has changed there's no way i can follow what i stated in the application to the letter....
i really understand and appreciate your point of view, but i cant help it, and i also guess that is why they didnt give me 6 days visa because plans can change...lol No, visiting visa for first time applicants is always 6months multiple entry whether you are going to spend a day or one month. They did not give you 6months to go and stay as long as you want only if you are a millionaire with unlimited budget, student on summer holiday or a retired pensioner going to see his or her grand kids. Of course you are allowed to change your travel plan but moving from 6days to one month + your brother issue will be a red flag in your next visa application. |

Ewuro4: It takes two you know? No right thinking person will start nagging out of the blue without any precipitating factor. Anyway , I believe many relationships are lacking effective communication; if she wants to talk about it and he doesn't wanna hear it , obviously somebody's demands are not being met hence the katatata we read on NL. If you're not ready to hear boring dinner table stories every night and overflogged complain about the bent garage door that needs to be fixed ASAP.. Stay single. Yes it does take two, i get that but this is the thing...if someone constantly run you down with every little opportunity, every little misunderstanding then you will move into your shell just to avoid another run of moaning. Must everything be confrontational? Some women seems to have a rule book only men should obey, just don't put a foot wrong it will be thrown at you followed by insults and next minute they started talking about love.....seriously what bloody love? |

A lot of us women do these things but we really do not know the effect it's having on our spouses.
Maybe she's reacting to a perceived repeated behavior from your end that rubs her off the wrong way. Does she often say you do not take her advise or respect her opinions? Maybe that is what is causing the raging hormones.
It's good to let off steam here as you have done instead of entering a shouting match with her as that just makes things worse. But why? That is what i struggle to understand sometimes, i wish somebody can explain that. |

maestro03: Valid point Justwise. However, He was not given a visa because he stated he was staying for 6 months and declared a budget for same, he was given because he met predefined requirements. He had demonstrated that he would visit the UK and leave without overstaying.
In any case, your option is a safer bet. I just wanted to let the poster know that plans change and they (UK authorities) know that. So its not a matter of following what's in your application to the letter. You could state you are travelling in May then decide to go in June, no harm done. You could decide to stay in a hotel then along the line choose to stay with a friend (which they may attempt to verify) still no harm done. It is not automatic deportation.
Hope my point is clear. Yes you have to follow the info you volunteered and signed in your application, that is what your application was based on. In the application you are asked how much the trip will cost you, how much you have in total for the trip, if somebody else will be paying for the trip. how much for hotel, flight....etc will cost you. You answered those questions based on the number days or weeks you will be staying, so if you stayed more than that...in this case 1 month then you are not doing yourself any good. Without any valid explanation you are likely to be refused a visa next time because your words can not be rely upon. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 12:48pm On Apr 30, 2015 |
maestro03: The answer to your question is an emphatic NO. However, you and i know that is not a question that would be posed at the entry point. Questions like what you do for a living, where you'll be staying, if you have family in the UK, when you intend leaving the UK are the likely questions to be asked. It is if suspicion is raised and further scrutiny is required that they could ask that question.
When he gets to the POE all he needs to say is his friend who is a citizen has said he should come stay with him as opposed to staying in a hotel. If asked who, he mentions his brother and the address would have been written on the lnding card. Feel free to enlighten me, others in the forum re encouraged to as well.... That's why we are all on this forum.....to learn. Bro you know very well that when you apply for visa the embassy gives you because you can afford it the trip at that time? They look at the number of days you want to stay and how much you budget for it? So in this case you said you will be staying for 6days, shown that you have booked a hotel for 6days, return ticket and things you tend to do in those 6days. So how will you get to the UK and stay for one month on 6days budget? The question will be...what were you doing in the remaining days? Working illegally probably? You can't claim at the POE that a friend who is a citizen invited you in rather than staying in a hotel because you have already stated in your application form that you don't have anybody in the UK, that is misrepresentation and will lead to deportation. Do you think he would have been given a visa if had declared budget of 6days but plan to stay one month? |

maestro03: Justwise, you give a lot of valid advise but i disagree with the statement in bold. It would not harm his application if he stayed longer than he indicated he'd stay. It would harm his next application if he overstayed (i.e stayed longer than 6 months). Yes, best to stick to his original story but there's nothing wrong in changing your length of stay, especially if you already have a ticket showing you intend to return. Let me ask you this: Can you stay in the UK for one month with budget of 6 days? |

hercules906: hey guys, morning all, you have no idea how many problems get solved here, i got my visa reading and following advices given on this forum. keep up the good job.
i have a concern, in my visa application i stated that i knew no one in the UK, but the truth is i have two brothers, both british citizens. the reason i denied knowing anyone was because we were not in good terms and i went through the application process without involving them.
After getting the visa, my brother called and we kinda settled after some family meetings etc..
problem now is, one of my brothers insists i stay with him for a couple of days and offered to pick me up at the airport. i should also add that i changed my travel plans as i initially planned to stay for 6 days, but now will be staying for a month.
told him about the issue of not knowing anyone in the UK, but he said it doesnt matter and that i should tell them at the POE that i have 2 brothers.
please guys, what do you think as i initially insisted on sticking with my initial hotel reservation, but its starting to look like i still have grudges and that is why i dont want to stay with him and i dont want to start another family fight....lol
i know there's so much "unnecessary" personal information here, but i just thought i should make you understand my situation.
my question ia would it affect me if i state at the POE that i have brothers having earlier stated in my application form that i dont, is it true that it doesnt matter as my brother said?
please i need your urgent responses..justwise, vicjustice, worry, everybody..
thanks a lot A lot of people have given you a very honest advice, you made a mistake by denying that you have someone in the UK, you should have said yes and point out that you will not be staying with them. You will not be doing your next visa application any good if you stayed more than 6 days as you indicated. Stick to your original plan |
