Hi house,
thanks for the good job u guys are doing to help some of us.Much appreciated.
I have applied for an EEA family visa on the 13/3/15
went for appointment and biometric prints on the 25/3/15
Did a video interview that same day.
I was called for an interview with an ECO on the 15/4/15
i was told by the ECO that same day after the interview that a decision will be made within the week after my wife who is in the UK have been interviewed which they did minutes after me leaving the interview room.
I have not received any email or message about the application till last Monday when i contacted the visa application tracking service.i got any email that a decision has been made on my application and i should expect call or message from teleperformance service when my passport and documents are ready for collection.
Its a week now still no call nor email .
I want to ask how long must i wait for the call for collection as am getting more stressed with this waiting .
pls need your help. Thanks in advance

Some people have actually gone there without receiving a text or email after waiting for sometimes. You can try paying them a visit to see if your package is there.

Please, I need advice here. I am about to apply for spouse visa. Number 1 question, my wife TB results will expire by 22nd July 2015. Is it advisable to still using it to apply first week of May? Second question, I will getting my P60 by May ending, can I use my 12 months payslips to cover that as I don't want the TB TEST too close to expire as I will get my P60 by May ending. I mean can I used 12 months payslips as march payslip have my annual gross, Tax and NI? I will appreciate everyone advice. Thanks to all.
As long as the test hasn't expired you can still use it.

12 months payslip will be good enough...i think they actually ask for 6months...(not sure)

Hello house. I'm relatively new in this post. Please I need advise from the gurus in the house. My boyfriend has a 3 years working permit with a good job in uk. We are planning to settle down and he wants to invite me to come and join him. I applied for a visiting visa last year where I refused to state that I know him when they asked about the people I know in uK. Reason being that Hope the immigration officer won't think I want to go to uk to see him and not come back to Nigeria again (I wasn't granted the visa tho) So here are my questions... Do they automatically renew visas in uk after it expires for people with limited work permit or how it's been done generally? What are the requirements we need for me to apply for a spousal visa to uk? When applying for the spousal visa, would the record of me saying I don't know anyone in uk not come up and they might want to raise eyebrows? I really need information about going to uk via spousal visa (by marriage. I would appreciate responses and more clarification. Thanks and God bless.
Its not automatic, he has to apply for renewer with the help of his company.

To apply for spouse visa you need to get married first.

Yes your previous visa record will be reviewed if you apply again, just be honest and don't withhold such info because they know it already

@ Justwise, tell me what was wrong with the link she posted? Just like the way you posted your link exactly the same way she posted hers.

So what gives you the right to decide which post to hide and permit on the forum?
Any link that will divert traffic from nairaland will be remove especially link from private or commercial sites.

The link I gave you there is from government immigration website.

If you have proof, maybe coz you provoked her by remiving her posts.
Nothing like maybe, I edited her post to remove those link as you can see up there, she keep re-editing it and pasting the links again...which was why I hid the post.

I haven't insulted her or anybody here and I will not take one from her.

I was not arguing with her. I said I can't say whether she is lying or not and that I don't know her friend or the case.

Do you start insulting people because they don't believe you even if you are telling the truth?

@ Justwise mayb she was pasting the links to back up her point which to me personally is nothing wrong.

On nairaland people should be able to express how and what they feel and people shouldn't abuse the power just because you have the power to ban people or move posts.

Thanks
There is nothing like abusing power here, you can put your point across without abusing people just because they disagreed with you. That was what she did.

Others made their points here without been abusive

It seems you have blocked or banned Emma @ Justwise coz i cant seem to find her post. I received alert thta Emma has replied but i cant find it whenever i come on nairaland.

Can you stop banning her post coz i dnt seen anything she has done wrong.

Thanks
I just explained that to you here

Ok.
I wasn't arguing with Emmachick.
She was busy pasting external links relating to immigration lawyers and when I moved it she becomes abusive

The attached pictures are the proofs of the response we had from Homr Office. Sorry guys i had to hide my partner's name and address.
The first picture was the response we got from the Home Office.
The second picture was a letter asking him to do his biometric
And he third picture was a letter confirming his biometric card details but i have left out his biometric number.
So Justwise, there is no need to keep arguing with Emma. We all learn new thing everyday. Ciao
For the sake of clarification...did you apply for Discretionary leave to remain?

Hi all,

I've been receiving alert in my mail box since morning about this thread. Just to clarify sone things.

Mybpartner was given his BRP (biometri residence permit) this month.

It still seems like a dream as i am so happy.

What justwise said about my partner not having chance is not entirely through.

Infact didn't take the immigration to decide his case.

Thank God I and my Partner followed our hearts and went ahead to make the application. All i can say is people should not judt give inaccurate information.

Thanks
I said he will find it difficult to get a visa, you just said it now that it was like a miracle.

Congratulations though

Not just asylum seekers, if u don't fall into any category and they don't really know wat to do with u, they will give u DLR.

E.g my best frd was illegal , she came By impersonation.

3 yrs later met a British man, had 3kids in five years, they got married. Made an application and got 3yrs DLR

There is nothing one will not read in nairaland.

Op will make her own research and make the decision

Hi..
I have gone through the pages of this thread and the old ones and none answered my question so i had to register to ask my question..

Please i just got admission at Sunderland uni. My aunt stays in sunderland and will be responsible for my accomodation, meanwhile i have enough maintainance funds plus accomodation money in my account to take to the embassy and apply for a visa..

My question is at the port of entry into the U.K, if asked where i would be staying, do i tell them i would be staying with my aunt till i get an accomodation??

Nothing wrong with that.

Did you pay all your school fees?

Hello guys in the building, I've successfully submitted my supporting documents and completed my biometric today at teleperformance, churchgate tower 2, VI.
I'd my appointment for the afternoon session and it did went well. With good attention from the security guy/babe at the entrance to the guy at the front desk that sighted my documents. I moved upstairs and was cleared by another friendly security guys through the access scanner. Then I proceed to another friendly and pretty lady she viewed my application form and pp before sent to the documents submission room. Here I was attended to by another friendly and interactive lady who finally checked all my documents and filed it in a bag for me. Finally, I was sent to the biometric room and the process was completed with the aid of another friendly lady.
The process was smooth and the place calm too, I guess my timing was right.

Nairalanders, kindly pray and wish me well for favourable and positive outcome

NB: now I can contribute to some questions relating to this visa application.
Good luck, hope it turns out fine.

Thank you. What if I submit a landed property documents in my late father's name, and also get some accreditation letters from my school indicating my integrity and my coming back to finalise my projects and all... what do you think about this? thank you. Plus I have a mother and siblings in Nigeria. Can that relate to family ties?
I don't see any of those serving as strong tie to Nigeria, the landed property is not in your name, letter from the school means nothing as far as this issue is concerned. Honestly you are not in a better position to apply for visiting visa at the moment looking at your financial situation.

Don't try to be smart....if you want to promote some immigration lawyers then email the op but don't try to play that game with me.
