bee4blues: Hello, i'm a student in my final year in the University, I applied to visit my married sister in the UK with my new niece and her husband. Her husband wrote the invite because he's a citizen. The decision was a refusal and reason was due to my circumstances and that not much have I convinced them of returning withing 6 months. My question is I DO NOT have the intention of staying more than my time, how can I prove this in an administrative review? Pls find attached the reason for refusal. I will appreciate any response that's problem solving. You hardly qualify for visiting visa or to apply for AR but you can still write one and submit, they will still give you a reply positive or not. There is no way to proof that you are not going to overstay your visa without strong tie to Nigeria...unfortunately at the moment you don't have any. |

emmachick: Justwise u r wrong tho. Discretionary Leave is not only for Assylum Seekers as u claim.
Discretionary Leave can be given provided the applicant has strong ties in the UK. The application will be reviewed under Humanitarian Right and with the help of a very competent lawyer.
A friend of mine went through same ordeal. Her boyfriend overstayed. But what strenthened their case was that they have both been living together under the same roof with proofs of cohabitation. Also my friend is british and the baby she has for the boyfriend is british too.
They applied for Discretionary Leave to Remain in February through a very good lawyer. The Lawyer's fee was £2400 inclusive of Home Office fee. A letter from the Home Office asking for the boyfriend's biometric was received in March. In April the boyfriend received his Biometric Card and he was given 2.5yrs discretionary leave to remain which he wil be renewing evry 2.5yrs for 10years.
So with the help of good and competent lawyer, the case is winable There is no way to know if you're telling the truth or not. I gave you a link to support my post. I don't know your friend or his case so it's difficult to argue about that. |

Secondly, this post isn't related to educational purpose in Germany,so it should get the boot in my humble opinion, slowly this thread is heading south and the MOD are not noticing this trend yet.
Cheers I don't see anything wrong with his post. Its perfectly ok to ask such question here |

Cavenchy: I have stated what was needful, a critical examination of the state of things, My first assertion was ''I'm not quite sure why anyone would be so diehard bent on residing here in the UK permanently with how the immigration policies have developed overtime'' which was in line with what GeneralShepherd's post was about. How this turned out to be an alarmists statement soliciting panic and anxiety is oblivious to me. Those who have comprehensive minds understand my post. I'm not sorry you don't Justwise, you haven't proven how my post has been alarmist in any way and what anticipation of danger it could inspire. Therefore, I would dismiss your statement as ignorance. I have, though i'm not surprised that you couldn't see it. |

Cavenchy: Lol, tell them GeneralShepherd? TBH, I'm not quite sure if/why anyone wants to live here permanently. UK's facing one of the toughest times in history. A good percentage of the young citizenry prefer to hang out at local pubs than their forefathers who sought to conquer the world. They blamed the misfortunes of events on the non-eu international immigrants who didn't receive any benefits and eliminated many opportunities for them to find UK an attractive destination. However, the 'benefits' seeking EU immigration was allowed to continue unabated, This saw a dramatic influx of settlers from all over the EU demanding benefits in the UK. Now a referendum is currently sought by the UK to pull out from this same EU. The question is, what would be left of the UK when all these internationals leave? Would the benefits for citizens continue? Would the present crop of partying generation brits be willing to work as hard as the migrants did without extra benefits?.. Food for thought#. The sections in bold are my issues with your post, yes i know what being alarmist is... someone who exaggerates a danger and so causes needless worry or panic. The article you posted is stating the fact, far different from exaggerating issues just to create panic. GeneralShepherd was making a very important point which i completely understand. Miss-informing people is not the right way to go about it. Not everybody wants to come to the UK and remain after their studies, GeneralShepherd's post was targeting those who are planning to come to hustle through education. |

Cavenchy: It's easy to condemn others without actually taking the pain to read their statements carefully. You haven't stated what makes me an alarmist. All I did was state the reasons immigration is becoming a key feature in UK policy, and the plan to pull out of the EU is one of them. Contributions aren't only monetary but economical, apart from the fact that the fees of one average international student has been used to sponsor 3 home students in universities, majority of the Nhs workers are international, many aspects of the economy are boosted through immigrants investments, if they weren't benefiting from internationals in any way they wouldn't have even let immigration begin . So I don't understand where the bolded part of your argument stems from. Justwise do your research, you're beginning to lose focus. You are an alarmist like i said before and some of your facts are 5yrs old and not useful anymore. Home students are now paying £9000 a year fees, so the days of £3000 school fees went more 4yrs ago, school fees from foreign students are not funding home students education as you claimed. Immigration has always been center of political discussion, not only in the UK but in many countries even South Africa. This is election time in UK so many political parties are including immigration problem in their manifestos, only one party(UKIP) has ant-immigration agenda but UKIP stand no chance of winning an election let a lone implementing their manifesto. UKIP is the only ant-EU party again with only 2 MPs in house of parliament their chances of making that change is remotely slim. If you read up you will realize that investment from foreign students have reduced in the last 2-3 years because of the removal of PSW but home students pay more now. |

kudsweet: It's a distributorship we are in to and the profit not buoyant but still growing. To be precise , roughly 200k after all expenses. We haven't paid a tax in the account. You need a miracle to be able to get a visa, the combination of your salary, your husband's salary and the business income is just under 350K, how can you afford to tour the UK on that income? That is just cost of ticket for one person. Please invest the money on your business and grow it. Applying to visit the UK is just waste of money....my personal opinion though. |

shevaamplified: Plz give your reason for that answer..tnx 1. Germany embassy does not issue 3 months work visa, it's a long term visa 2. You need to attend an interview. 3. You need to apply and given employment by German company, it will contain the work details and salary. |

Ralphlauren: the father can.
all he has to do is marry their mother legally and if she meets all the requirements (salary, etc), she can file for a spousal visa for him.
the dad can then file for his other kids (after he becomes a british citizen) ONLY if they are under 18 as at the time he makes the application.
just my two cents. That is a different ball game entirely. My comment is based on the current situation. |

a little dilemma for my relative . . . . if a lady was issued a 5years visit visa and travelled to the UK three times within that 5years visa validity period, is that sufficient to apply for a 10years visit visa as she is due for another renewal or is she best applying for another 5years?
thanks 10 years is possible, the application process is the same as usual. The same process as the 5 years application |

I and my brother have virgin passports. We both are graduates. How do you think we should go about getting our visa and which visa would u suggest we all apply for. Finances and all is on my step mother and her children(my dad's children) who bear the same yoruba surname with us. Thanks There is no way you or your father can move to the UK through those kids. He is not married to their mother, hasn't been in their lives for 20years and suddenly now want to move to the UK through them. |

jamela: It is often placed as a requirement when the academic assessor at the university is not pleased with the command of English used in the student's application. Thereafter, they would waive the English requirement but only if they are satisfied with the demonstration of the applicant's use of the English language using Certified proof (for example IELTS-Academic, WAEC). You can't totally blame them though, I've seen some Nigerian students here in the UK unable to express themselves properly especially with the frequent mix up of tenses and typos in reports. You are not far from the truth |

golddust6000: Don’t call your country a shit hole on till you travel out. What I am about to shear with you people is my story about living with European woman (Caucasian) . My journey started in august 22, 2011. I left Nigeria to study in Europe, due to the fact that gaining admission in Nigeria University is like living in hell on earth. I gained admission in one of the top university in Europe, after the school has promised me conducive atmosphere for learning in their university, when I arrived the country I realized that this country is not for me, because the environment, the society is not friendly at all. My school fee was 2000eur, which I was struggling to pay, as a naija guy Istarted looking for any means to secure my resident permit, I mean getting married to a European lady so I will stop paying school fee. I hit the club, dating site, looking for any means to look for a woman, thank God I got one. We dated for almost a year, what I realized about European women is that 90% of them are authoritarians, I can’t cope with most of them as an African, I had problem dating them After dating so many ladies, Finally I got married February 2014, before I got married I’d already had a baby girl. Right from the day we got married, that was the starting point of our conflict. What I realized about European lady is that when you have baby with them they will try their possible best to frustrate you to the extend you will have no choice than to divorce her so they can live with the baby alone, During that process the government will ask you to be paying 150 euros for child support every month whether you are working or not, a country that the minimum wage is not up to 300eur. (73 percent of married women in that country are single mothers). My wife accused me of dating another woman wish she didn’t have any evidence to proof to back up the past 7 months, still will are sleeping on same bed. She has been looking for ways to divorce me so I will be remitting 150euro for child support that was her aim. I have tried all my possible best to secure our marriage but still no avail. She asks me to leave her house yesterday being 22nd of April. Now we are heading to court. You can watch the 7 minute video that I recorded about our quarreling last night. If you have any advice you can shear, thanx. Sham marriage gone wrong, you never loved her, you pretended just to get a paper and now she outsmart you. Bro you can't eat your cake and have it, you avoided paying fees because her, you knew how the culture is but you still went ahead because you had a plan. This is what you get for marrying a woman for anything other than love. This got nothing to do with being European woman, African women are not any different. |
