samolaniyi: You can make changes by sending the corrected part by sending it back to LCC before you case is treated or before you become current.( get an interview date.) Was that the argument here or you just want to say something? By the way that link you quoted is from official lottery visa website, so you know better than them? |

Urine: Hahahahaha! No way! Just rent and bills, put tuition into the mix and you will be friends with a good shrink. Exactly!! That was why i said you can't pull it off doing Msc, you can with undergraduate if you are 100% committed, but doing it for 3yrs is tough. Done that but please don't ask me how it turns out. |

jusugo92: I was enjoying this lovely thread till the so called "powers that be"deviated us.I don't know where this argument will lead this thread to.I don't have an idea of what D.V lottery looks like, cos I have neither won 1 or applied before. But atimes as a moderator its good u overlook some posts here and let the rythm flow.MR Justwise U personally killed dis thread You shouldn't allow rythm of lies and misinformation flow, it gives people false hopes. You don't wake up to a phone call from a stranger then suddenly you are a lottery winner and the next thing you are in USA enjoying life. Its important to establish the truth rather than allow people to believe in fairy tail of ignorance. |

Urine: It's possible, you just have to be smart about it. My mates and I worked and still ended up with very good grades. The trick is to be very attentive in class, once you do that it will be easier.
I had a funny experience, went for a gig out of town for five days (the pay was good I had to take it) had my Java exam the morning I got back, finished the exam early and got an A. So it's tough but possible. Were you working to pay school fees, rent and bills then? |

adconline: Yes, I mean most educated Naija folks that would not like to cross check facts. Using somebody as an agent doesn't increase your chance and US DV Lotter doesn't approve of any agent. Many educated Nigerian applicants are intellectually lazy to go through the application process and vet the information. That's why they believe in anything.. Actually that is mostly the reason behind the use of agents by some Nigerians, many believe that agents know how the lottery system works and can increase their winning chances. Some use agents to apply for visa because according to them agents have a 'link' in the embassy that will influence the outcome of a visa application |

adconline: I posted 2 links to prove my point and they have argued without posting any link. New comers join the discussion to bail them out and when I hit them with the lingering question to show us their source.. They duck and deflect the question. It's not eating into my time. I'm watching my favorite show- Shark Tank while responding to their malarkey and tales by moonlight.. Do you know why this https://www.nairaland.com/927190/dv-2013-winners-meet-here thread ran to 800 plus pages within a year and this one https://www.nairaland.com/1275397/dv-2014-winners-meet-here only 261? When the first thread started there were more 'winners' than the actual winners, more cases of refusals and AP as a result of fake marriages, impostors and fake adoptions, mostly because genuine winners and fake ones got paired by an agent as husband and wife then documents are forged to keep the fraud going. People who turned up for an interview but look nothing like the picture submitted when they entered the lottery. people who suddenly claimed to have adopted a child and forged papers to back it up. I moderated that thread page to page and noticed how suddenly some members never came back to share their testimonies after their interviews but after sometimes a new ID will show up asking for immigration lawyer or complaining how one agent got them in trouble. The second thread has less number of ghost winners because the agent-format is not working as it used to though one was caught at the embassy trying to attend visa lottery interview he never played. The VO reported him in that thread and i banned him. Don't bother giving them links to support your argument because many of them used the 'short-cut' and hate to be told the truth. You will not be popular here as long as you refused to join the 'yes-members'. |

tebohst: Hi Visa Officer. I need your assistance. My fiancee is a DV 2015 selectee from Cameroon with CN 19***. Recently, the person whose address we provided on DS260 told us that USCIS called and asked her to pay $200 for a background check on her. Please does that ever happen? Everyone I talked to has never heard of such a think. What about you? Thanks. Email: LagosIV@state.gov, before making any payment. I'm not sure when VO will log on here again. |

Babakenny: And there's a new form now DS 260. The old form DS230 and DS122 had been abolished.
And for the record, I was with someone that won DV 2015 some minutes ago (here in South Africa) and is correcting the DOB of his wife and that of his last son and will send the updated info to KCC via email cos everything is now being submitted online unlike before where winners have to send them thru postal mail.
So guys guys, YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR BIOGRAPHICAL INFO WHILE FILLING THE DS260 FORM AND SENDING THE UPDATED INFO TO KCC BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW IS SCHEDULED. YOU CANNOT HOWEVER CHANGED YOUR INFO WHEN YOU HAVE SUBMITTED YOUR IMMIGRANT FORM TO KCC AND YOUR CASE IS CURRENT. YOU MAY HOWEVER ADD NEW EVENT SUCH AS WHEN YOU HAVE A NEW CHILD OR GOT MARRIED!!
Please let's not argue about this further or call each other names. Its not worth it guys. Its not. Let's embrace peace. Shalom! Which year lottery is your friend processing now? The one that ended last month or which one? |

cao: The thing with phone contacts, they are now more or less 24 months. I've been here long enough to see contracts go from 12 to 18 and now 24 months. The heavy fees are not usually for the services, but for the phone itself. I've been rocking the £20 three contract for so long, it's getting silly. First it was the 1000 off peak minutes no text, then the 500 anytime minutes with 100 texts, then I got an additional free 1gb internet 'cause i've been with them so long. Plus, the free skype calls were very handy. Then someone at three messed up and gave me free all you can eat Internet. Then everything changed [when the fire nation attacked] during the recession, they took away my free internet when I was forced to change to the 900 minutes/texts contract, argued with them as I am a long term customer and the internet add on was given as a loyalty bonus, I got back the free 1gb, where I was told the additional all you can eat freebie was a mistake. Then finally caved in and bought the all you can eat Internet add on (£3), when I started relying heavily on my mobile data. Then thanks to the stupid 20% VAT, it increased by 70p. Apparently, I now have 2000 mins for three to three calls and I still have the free 1gb. Wait a sec, those dudes owe me an upgrade. You see why I love my pay as you go? Vodafone has a deal whereby you topup £10 a month and get 150mins and about 500mb and still keep your £10. If you ran out of mins you can buy extra 100mins for £5. |
