I really don't know any other means apart from post office, I will ask friends and get back to you.

You can try Ebay or Amazon for laptop, you will have more than enough varieties there to choose from and within your budget as well. Just register with Ebay and PayPal and start shopping.

If you need part time student job from your uni check their twitter page for job listings. They have some good part time jobs there thst will fit your study structure and within the university as well.

Before i answer that, tell me, Hasn't your girlfriend spent on you? Or you think women alone enjoy being spend on. Why is there a growing trend of guys looking for a sugarmummy? Why are most youngmen looking forward to date either a rich girl, or a working class lady?
My previous gf friends have just as I have spent on them as well, it's what people do willingly when they are in love.

My issue is with the needy greedy ones who sees men as their cash machine. I have got no problem with men spending on their gfs as long as they don't see it as their entitlement.

How many Nigerian girls are Jobless? You tell me. For your info young man, most Women are the reason there's food on the table for their families. Both married and unmarried ones. Don't ask me how i knew, because i know what i'm talking about.
I don't know the figure but I think that any employed lady making her own money will not be complaining about men not spending on her.

What a man can do, a woman can do it better stops when it comes to money....right?

Ok....there is nothing scaring about the tribunal, you can go with somebody for moral support if you want, you just have to defend those documents you submitted and explain your own side of the refusal, remember that the case is about whether your marriage is genuine and the accommodation issue. Those two areas are your focus and expect questions from them.

But do I need to submit another set of document for the judge, how can I defend my case, is it necessary I get a lawyer.
If you have gone this far then you don't need a lawyer, no lawyer can tell your story with emotion better than you. Go with photocopyies of all the documents you submitted already and any other document you have that will help you argue your case.

The judge is going to decide your case based on those documents you have submitted already and answers you will give to questions put to you.

It's not a packed court room, it's just you, the tribunal judge and home office representative(if they bothered to come). So it's not an intimidating environment especially when you have a genuine case.

Done already

Meanwhile, Nigeria has been taken off the list of ebola-affected countries.

The World Health Organisation said the Nigerian government had been "very successful" in controlling cases of the virus.

More than 4,500 people have been killed in the outbreak - the majority in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

The news comes as British ebola survivor Will Pooley flew back to West Africa, where he caught the disease, to rejoin the battle against the epidemic.

Hello house, i need your advice on this, I have a friend who works in Dubai, he told me there company has vacancy that he wants to help me secure the job same department he works, they pay above 130k with over time for a start monthly , with accommodation of two person per room, free breakfast, and they will seize my passport for six months, after that I can be able to resign if I don't like the company. But he asked me to trust him by paying 1000dirham about 50k for start, when my employment visa is out within 3 weeks and I confirmed its genuine, i pay 100k to balance him the remaining 300k if we met there everything totaling 450k with flight. He also told me that it is the company that buys the flight ticket according to my GPS this is his location Madinat Zayed. What do you guys think? Actually I wanted to do it on my own via tourist before I contacted him.
klens:
Is it possible for someone working in a company in Dubai secure work permit visa in the same company he works for someone here in Nigeria ? And also book for flight over there
justi4jesu:
Well i dont understand your question.

Do you mean someone works in dubai and wants to secure work permit for his friend/brother from the same company he works for?

If yes, then its possible "only if and only if" the company has agreed to employ the friend/family based on the current employee's recommendations.

Yes it is possible, like now we can have a vacancy in my company and i recommend my friend/brother/sister that is willing to come over here to work, then my company can process an employment visa for him/her which is valid for only 3 months and not actually a residence/work permit.

So incase you don't meet up the company's expectations, they won't process your actual work permit/residence that is supposed to be stamped on your passport.

Hope this helps.
klens:
thanks it helps a lot. But the guy told me it is two years work permit, and they have vacancy in his company, that I should scan my passport and send to him. even if he finally secures it, how can my passport with me here be signed ,is it when I got there? Again should in case I want to do it myself, how can I start from the scratch? Thanks.
justi4jesu:
Yes i can use just the photocopy of your data page on your international passport to process employment visa for you, i dont necessary need the hardcopy or original of it.

I dont understand how you mean by doing it yourself oh.

If you mean getting a job by yourself then first you should search for a tour agency that can process your visa for 1month extendable of straight 2months in order for you to arrive here and scout for jobs.

If you get lucky then good, if you dont you can peacefully return back to Nigeria and start from where you stopped.

Goodluck

I was refused on relationship and accommodation, they don't believe my relationship is genuine, and I don't have permission to live in the flat(we didn't include letter from council in our application).

Why were you refused at the first place?
Ok I get that....so in your appeal package what document did you include to proof that your relationship is real?

I wonder why people prefer to keep the amount in naira when exchange rate can be unfavourable esp in Sept.

Why not get the money in pounds? That's what I did and didn't bother about exchange rates and stuff.
That will make the whole thing a lot easier

@Justwise firstly, my sponsor is employed in Uk and has a reasonable bank statement. Secondly, theres no lies about my earnings. I have just saved up for this trip up to that amount and thats it.
Sorry I just noticed my mistake with the second question.

Since your sponsor works then there is no problem if he wants to pay for the flight, he needs to send you his bank statement as a proof of his income
