Politics / Re: Oshiomhole's Convoy In Ghastly Motor Accident ? by JW214: 3:59pm On Apr 29, 2012
Let me guess what caused accident:
-Bad road/Pot holes
-Careless driving on both parts (Governor's convoy and Truck)
-Driving under influence of Alcohol on both parts
-Driving under the influence of power, all road users must quit the road because a political office holder is using the same road

Before I forget, it may also be caused by PDP forces.....

lanrock: egbami o, na ibo girls represent almost south west. why?

I guess most of them must have lived in their respective states for up to if not more than 10 years, that is if they were not born there, thus, they have the right to contest in such state.

My only question is just that was the contest, selection and election free and fair? If, congrats to all of them. They are all NIGERIANS
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Is PDP & PDP Is Boko Haram- Gen Azazi by JW214: 12:00pm On Apr 28, 2012
My interpretation to Azazi's speech, comments and reactions to this news:

Vote out PDP next election and replace with either APGA, ACN or CPC, as long as the elected President is not Hausa(from the North), BH activity may (will) continue. As long as the presidential seat doesn't favour them(North), they will not seize their terrorism acts.

Remember, this BH guys are not spirits, they are someone's father, uncle, cousin, friend, etc. Some of us know them!
Politics / Re: Political Violence At 5th Adebayo Adefarati Memorial Lecture In Ondo by JW214: 2:47pm On Apr 23, 2012
tolagbemi: Beaf:It seems Mimiko has stated his point fairly energetically. ACN bera beware.
I would have loved to see Asiwaju running for dear life on his tiny lil legs or hiding in the boot of a car!

ohnyore: my house is opposite the BTO HALL, lecture for the venue, nothing serious really happened there, it was just ACN and LP supporters throwing stones at each other, you need to see the stone fight, there were no gun shots, it was only the mobile policemen that fired several tear gas, Akure boys no sabi do wahala at all, i just tire for all of them.

JW214 and two of you (Beaf &ohnyore)are not sincere. Ondo state people dont like trouble, But wont accept nonsense.
Mimiko should not bring trouble to the state.
Saharareporters should not report wrong items. Give correct report. Ondo State people should vote for the right person thugs are not voters.

Reading through my previous post, did I say Ondo State people like trouble?
FYI I know Ondo State Political terrain very well and I have facts for every sentence I wrote earlier.
Politics / Re: Political Violence At 5th Adebayo Adefarati Memorial Lecture In Ondo by JW214: 8:07am On Apr 21, 2012
It is a clear line between ACN and LP in Ondo State. Mimiko is a grassroot politician and has similar poliTRICKS styles like Tinubu, infact to get his mandate back from Agagu(PDP) then, he had to befriend Tinubu for funds and judiciary supports and when he got it, he closed his link with his ex(Tinubu) and tries to stablize himself in power(a smart move Tinubu never believed a small boy like him can try).

From my careful study on Ondo State PoliTRICKS, ACN in Ondo state today comprises of:
About 20% core AD members who ruled with late Chief Adefarati in 1999 and who hasn't moved to another party in power since then, example is Chief Wumi Adegbonmire(former SSG).
About 50% PDP who ate and dinned with Agagu and turned around the table when Agagu lost out through a judiciary process, example is Chief Tayo Alasoadura(former Com of Finance)
Then, about 40% of the angry members of LP who has been to AD when Adefarati was rulling, stopped at PDP when Agagu was rulling, ate a little bit with Mimiko and now on the dinning table ot ACN waiting for ACN to win Election and thus, food serving can start, example is Chief Olaiya Oni(former chairman LP, who share some political trait with d late Amala politician of Ibadan while giving his reasons for leaving LP for ACN)

So far, most of the politicians am seeing on board of Ondo State ACN are there for their selfish reasons and it is so glaring these members are not better than those they have already in LP except for a few of them like daughter of a former Gov and a Prof who has just entered politics some months ago. For ACN to win Ondo State, they must (s)elect a candidiate that can stand the test of Dr Mimiko and so far, I have just seen 2 of them, and with d msg they are both sending so far, both aspirants are not ready to shift grounds.

As the Election to the Guber seat in Ondo state draws near, I wish Ondo people can vote not minding the sectional Cultural group campaign that is winning the air now (being OWO, AKOKO,ILAJE....) Should not be a factor, competence should be the watchword, even if the candidiate is from a minority group or party(like LP vs PDP in 2003).

I wish Ondo State Peace in the coming election

For those who see Political Poles between Oshomole and OBJ, you are decieveing yourselves. They have been friends before the entry of Oshomole into full politics and will continue to be friends. I can bet it, OBJ has visited to toss a political coin with Oshomole.

Am watching and waiting for what the deal is, most likely next Presidency
Business / Re: GTB, FIDELITY, UBA Card: Which Is The Best For Online Payment? by JW214: 5:46pm On Apr 06, 2012
faithin9ja: don't know about online payments, but Fidelity VISA (denominated in naira) is great for using in other countries.
I use my Fidelity card in UK on a regular basis, ATM's in UK have given me £500 cash when I have enough naira in my account. I bought an iPhone 4s for £700 in Apple store Westfield Shopping Mall in Stratford using my Fidelity naira debit card.

Bros, am sorry, do U mean a machine in the UK dispensed £500 cash to U in one day? if yes, that machine must be wonderful

1Dray: Abuja, Suleja, Lokoja are coined from the name of 3 sons of a King, King Ja. The names of his said 3 sons are Abu, Sule and Loko

Really! I am learning from this thread.
Education / Re: What Do The Names Of Nigerian States and Cities Mean? by JW214: 8:37pm On Mar 19, 2012
Ibadan coined from "Eba Odan" meaning a place near(Eba) or at the entry of the savanah and forest(Odan), now called "Ibadan"

Ogbomoso was named after an activity of a Warrior "Soun" who killed "Elemosho", a terrorist terrorissing the Oyo people in those days, thus the name of the King and the town goes thus: Soun(d name of d warrior) of Ogbo ri Elemosho(who beheaded and killed Elemosho) which is now called "Ogbomosho" today

Ilorin: it was coined from Ilu(town) Erin(elephant)

Akure: It was gotten from Akun(neck bead) re(cut), meaning the Royal neck bead has cut

Phones / Re: Qwerty Or Touchscreen Phones Which Do You Prefer? by JW214: 10:29am On Mar 03, 2012
@op, with due respect sir, I think the title should be: Hard button Qwerty keypad vs Touchscreen keypad, remember, some mobile devices come with touchscreen Qwerty keypad.

Now to your question: for a long and large input of data, a hard button qwerty keypad is better but for a small volume of data input, a touchscreen qwerty keypad is the best.

With mobile devices like Nokia n97, BB Touch 9700, you can enjoy the mix of data input. This was a section of my MSC research some years ago
Politics / Re: Ekiti Votes N3.9 Billion For Governor’s Office, Civic Centre . by JW214: 5:56pm On Mar 02, 2012
lari03:

the people of Ekiti can attest inspite of all said above, this is the best govt yet.

^^^ says who?
unless we want to hide an elephant behind a finger, ayodele fayose is the best governor so far in ekiti despite his looting spree, he was able to contruct and implement some projects within his limited time(roads construction and expansion in various towns, beautification of the state capital, his overnight poutry project) etc

i give it to fayose anytime until any other beats him

How I wish the 1600 GEJ "palliative" buses were bought from this man(company), this would have created about 1000 jobs for our unemployed youth. If we truly want to support this company, Government MDAs must be encouraged to buy their products if they meet the standards required. Most of the Korean and Chinnesse Auto makers started like this. The Chinesse Envoy(s) in Nigeria drives the Chinesse Auto. God bless Innoson, God bless Nigeria
