Whether Professor Achebe deserved the nomination or not, that doesn't and will never change the fact the he's a great Nigerian, greater than many of our present crop of politicians and respected world wide more than them.

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan's Yuletide Message To Nigerians by k2039: 2:16pm On Dec 25, 2012
SELFWORTH: As usual, many haters will abuse him and denounce his message.

I only need to remind you of what happened to all those who hated David and Daniel in the bible. All of them perished whilst God continue to strengthen the reign of David and Daniel.

God placed GEJ in the position to rule Nigeria . No one can remove him until God says its time for him to go. Instead of wasting your efforts abusing and insulting your president , please channel all that negative energy into praying for him that God will give him the wisdom of Solomon to rule this wicked, corrupt and selfish nation .

Without wisdom and help from God, NO ONE alive or yet to be born can rule Nigeria successfully . Not even all the haters of GEJ on NL.
This is ignorance at it peak. I wonder how you managed to get 5likes.

First Paragraph: www.nairaland.com/1141977/president-jonathans-yuletide-message-nigerians/1#13537988

Second Paragraph: Only would have made sense if God's visible hand was present in his administration.

Third Paragraph: People voted for the wrong reasons, that's the only reason he became president.
Nigeria has a constitution, he can be impeached and removed, your statement just reflected plain ignorance.

Fourth Paragraph: If he knew he couldn't solve our problems, then he shouldn't have taken the oath of office.
why dont you point out the dissapointing part of his speech instead of spewing your anger al over. Am not a fan of his,but i know this: goodluck might be clueless, but he is not evil. Unlike some past leaders we‘ve had in the past.
Your post alone is contradicting.
In my house now, we are on generating set, their is fuel hike and scarcity.

Everything he listed in his speech aren't really a big deal, they are just normal things and precautions that a sensible president would put in place during festivities like this since most people would be travelling.

Indoors reading and attending to nairaland issues when I need a break just to cool off my brain.

The only reason I'm frowning is because I have too many assignments to work on which makes it mandatory reading on christmas.

I will try as much as possible to be civil in the coming year(I wont hesitate to insult as many people as possible in the remaining part of the year, I have to enjoy the fun while it last gringringringringringrin)

Besides that reminds me, I commented on one of your threads(the one on beautiful girl and her sister), less I forget I was a nice guy on that thread, no insults, in fact I tried defending you, that goes a long way to show you that I have stopped insulting people.

Merry christmas and have a fulfilling and glorious 2013.

valicious1: Considering the thousands of graduates being dished out to the society every year in Nigeria, plus the millions that are still unemploydeed, believe me getting a job is like hitting goldmine.
That's because Nigeria is a failed republic, in an ideal society getting a job shouldn't be a big deal.

Besides getting a job is one thing, maintaining and staying in a job is another thing.

PoliticsRe: GEJ Administration Is A Disappointment - Tinubu by k2039: 12:47pm On Dec 25, 2012
Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule and both commonly succeed, and are right.

Obviously they are both failures
Nairaland GeneralRe: When Did You Celebrate More? by k2039: 10:42am On Dec 25, 2012
Neither, they are both overrated.

If the FG was very responsible, getting a job shouldn't be a big deal.
Marriage is to far a journey to get to excited about, it requires tremendous commitment to remain in a marriage and a lot of responsible is also attached to it.

I'm indifferent about both, getting a job or married is not sufiicient to remain in a job or marriage, so nothing to be excited about.

2goodbobo: What is the point of your comment? Does it make sense to you? Thread is talking about something and here you are talking about something that does not have any ounce of sense.
His comment refered to the first person who commented, he is a guy(the gender on his handle) and he professed to love good guys, that makes him a gay by default, though they were both joking.

musKeeto: He was a special visitor.. Abi na im be d first visitor for camp?
I see you, so you wouldn't have given GEJ a honourable welcome if he comes to your house, will you just treat him just like every other person.

Besides all special visitors including the G:O?s from other church get to sit in front.
Christianity EtcRe: Holy Ghost Congress A Political Congress - EX Pastor Of (RCCG), Bankole Solomon by k2039: 6:11am On Dec 25, 2012
davidylan: then why did he get speaking time? undecided You're desperately clinging unto straws to justify this... not surprisingly, you cannot back up your stance with the bible either.
He got the speaking time because he is the president.

Let's be logical here, he is attending the camp after two years and you think it was wrong with him addressing the congregation as their commander in chief. If he attends the camp regularly then I could have condem is frequent address to the nation.
My issue with the whole address was his campaign which I agree was wrong. He shouldn't have campaign on the pulpit.

I already told you that I don't attend Redeem and I was never at the Camp during the congress but I see nothing wrong with what the G.O did except GEJ's capitalisation on the opportunity(using it as a campaign groung).

I quite agree with all your points but if you were the GO you will likely have done thesame.
Christianity EtcRe: Holy Ghost Congress A Political Congress - EX Pastor Of (RCCG), Bankole Solomon by k2039: 6:05am On Dec 25, 2012
davidylan: It is very applicable. Obama attends church here on sundays and he sits in the pews just like everyone else neither is he allowed to address the congregation. Besides his security entourage, he is treated no better than every one else.
That's his church where he is a member just like GEJ doesn't address the congregation in Aso villa's chapel.
He was a visitor at the redemption camp not a member.
