I've heard lots of 'testimonies' like this. Only gullible Christians would fall for it. Ergon Canner claimed to be a 'terrorist who came to America to kill the infidels, but found Christ'. He became so popular, got endorsements, book deals, was made Dean of a Christian University. In short he made millions of dollars off this fabrication. Lots of his videos on YouTube.

People are dumping Christianity in the US. We've heard priests and preachers coming to Islam. Thats why they need fake conversion stories to make gullible Christians happy and if course make some $$$ off them

It has been proven by statisticians that Islam would the the world's largest religion with the rate people are converting. This is in spite of the deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of of our Deen through the activities of alqeada Isis etc. People have taken their time to study the real Islam, not what you've been brainwashed with.

Note that more Americans converted to Islam after the 9/11 attacks. Please take you time to study the real Islam, not what you've been made to believe by propagandists.

Those verses they like to throw around in the Qur'an about killing has nothing to do with mindless killing if innocent people. They were revealed in the time of war with the pagans. And war in Islam has strict rules they have to adhere to.

I'm guessing you a Muslim.. I think you should critically look at your religion closely as regards it's violent tendencies... The terrorists might just be the ones doing the bidding of Allah. Others might just be pretenders

Of course I'm proud to be a Muslim. I've critical looked at my religion and others as well, so have the millions converting worldwide to Islam (Google fastest growing religion). We've all come to the conclusion that it's the only religion that makes sense.

Those terrorists are not Muslims. Some may have been misguided by people with ulterior motives. But the 1.8billion Muslims worldwide(and growing rapidly ) will tell you that nothing in our religion supports mindless killing of innocent people.

You also need to know the atrocities committed by the Christian crusaders in the dark ages. The repackaged Christianity of today is not what it was in 9th century. The killings were done in the name of the 'lord Jesus Christ' of course

To be sincere, we've never been more divided along religious lines as we currently are. It's like our religious leaders are teaching us to be more intolerant of one another. When we were younger, Christians celebrate with Muslims and vice versa. Now people are trying to prove their holiness by showing disdain towards other religions, not right at all. Inspite of our holiness, crime is at an all time high, makes me wonder exactly what these religious leaders are preaching.

I am still trying to memorize Alhamdulliah. I've been taking it slowly but hoping to move at a quicker pace next month in sha Allah . Is the whatsapp memorization group you mentioned still active?

Ma shaa Allah. Alhamdulillah, the Whatsapp group is still actlve o. We're on Verse 109 od Suratul Baqarah . It's been over a year and a half since we started, its not as fast as i would have liked, but we give Praises to Allah...

Althoigh i'm trying to memorise the 29th Juz on my own. I've only completed Suratul Mulk and Mursalt(first and last Surahs in the Juz ). It's really difficult to memorise on your own, not easy to focus

sister, why are you worried about sects or different groups?. Even in politics everywhere around the world they have different groups. In Nigeria you have to major political parties APC, PDP, isn't?. At the end of the day, both parties are working on the same causes with slight differences.

So are these two major sects of Islam, "SUSHI" i:e Sunni and Shia. This is the least you should worry about. Allah doesn't care about which of the parties from two two you belong. What matters is one you are convinced that Islam is the truth, all you need is to know the basics. These basics are enough to take you to paradise, in sha Allah.


They are 6 articles of fatih (Iman):

1. Believe in One True God

2. Believe in His Angels

3. Believe in His Divinely Revealed Books

4. Believe in all His messangers

5. Believe is predestination

6. Believe in Judgement Day



These are Faiths that MUST be intact. Once you gave faith in these, and you are convinced, then you are now obliged to practicalize them. This makes you a Muslim outwardly.




They are 5 tenets if Islam:


* Believe in Allah (shahada). This is a phrase that officially brings you to our Islamic family by saying I testify that there is no deities worthy of worship except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His messangers


* You must pray 5 daily prayers as Muslims pray


* You must pay zakat (annual charity) if you have the means.


* You must fast in the Holy month of Ramadan


* You must perform pilgrimage to mecca if you have the means



These are the practical activities ordained for us as muslims. Other voluntary acts you can learn as you improve yourself. You have no business to worry about Shia, Sunni or subsects. God does not judge us as homogenous people. He judges us individually. You will not be judge because your are Sunni or Shia. Allah will judge you based on your Faith not by a group you belong (if any).


I hope this clarifies everything. Now with that been said, you should accompany your Faith and this obligatory practices with righteous-good deeds.

Very true. Why should anyone care about sects. Each soul will be judged individually, not in sects. Whats matters acts your acts of worship and submission to Allah.

thats good to hear though, religion is all illusions. you don't have to be religious to succeed in life, the white men who brought these lies to us have since discarded it BUT religion is important! its a part of the matrix, once you discover the lies in religion your eyes will open and you'll wonder your purpose here. thats the ultimate starting point and its interesting. watching movies on sunday, lol, i prefer reading.

We Muslims don't believe we need to be religious to 'succeed in life' as you put it. In fact we see this life as a mere illusion, the after life is the major reason why we worship. Wealth is a test from the Creator, not necessarily a blessing as some people see it today.

We don't see life or death as gifts or punishments respectively. Death is a guarantee for every soul. Nowhere is it mentioned in the Qur'an that death is some sort of punishment for wickedness or wealth is some kind of reward for piety. We were ALL created to be tested one way or another and our fates will be determined on the Last day.

No dear. 4 Rakatain of 'isha is far more rewarding than the 10 of Taraweeh, 3 of witr combined. No Sunnah ṣalat is more rewarding than fard.
