Trendin:My son once did that at a neighbour's place when he was about that age She runs a bakery and all her kids are grown so she didn't have a reason to keep the eggs crate out of reach. By the time we realised what he was doing he had nearly gone through a full crate I offered to pay for the broken eggs but she refused, even made a light joke about funny kids. It wasn't funny to me o, I was so embarrassed. |
I honestly don't understand why everyone is lashing out at this lady. To me its not too much to ask for a little gift here and there from your spouse. I didn't see anywhere she stated that she wanted the guy to feed her or pay her bills, but all of yall are pounding on her like you're so perfect. All these oversabi people sef ![]() I remember my husband was like this during our dating days. Sebi OP got tab, I can count on one hand the number of things I got from him in our 7 years of dating. But I didn't really bother him because my parents my meeting my financial needs in school. Even after he graduated 2 years ahead of me and he got a well paying job, he still wasn't so giving. He knew I had well to do parents so money was hardly my problem. But sometimes just a little gift, doesn't have to be so expensive, can make a person's day. It started to become annoying when he'll tell my to use my money to run errands for him then won't pay back . He did that till we got married in 2010. I practically had to empty my account so he can pay for the flat we'll stay in( he loaned someone the money he intended to use). Note gain that I wasn't working at the time o.Fast forward to 5 years plus of marriage, there's hardly anything I ask for that he doesn't give. Because of his prudence with money and my getting of good job along the line, we were able to complete and move into our own place last year. So my dear hang in there and be patient. The projects he's working on are most likely to secure a wonderful future for the both of you, so let that be your focus not the petty things he's not getting for you fight now. Cheers |
OP while it's charitable to assist people in their times of need, lets not forget that this is Naija. Let me share some personal stories with you. When we first moved to our place in 1995, my parents saw a similar situation and an opportunity to assist the community so they placed a tap outside of the compound and opened it for public use for just one hour in a day(between 5 and 6pm daily). During that period omo see crowd. Queues would have started forming by 4pm. By 6pm when the tap was shut, the entire area will be filled with messy foot prints, water everywhere, but that wasn't the problem. The major problem was that we were creating big losses for the water sellers in the neighbourhood. They came to threaten my mum on several occasions to beware cos she doesn't want them to have money like her abi? One even threatened that we should face whatever consequences that befell us cos of our charitable act. Let me remind you that the water was only on for one hour daily. Although my mum was a bit worried of all these threats, my dad continued with the water charity. Suddenly our pumping machine started to mal function , my mum would want to buy things from the neighbourhood and people would be hissing and eyeing see wahala o! . A neighbour that also opened his water for the community in spite of the threats from the water sellers had his pumping machine stolen on several occasions till he too had to succumb. Another more recent story. My in laws also decided to open their compound for the neighbours to come get water. their gate was always opened for people to come in. This paved way for petty thieves to have access into their home to steal things lying around in the compound. from generator battery to spare tyres to even the kids' toys. When it was too much to bear, they also had to stop the water supply making them instant neighbourhood enemies. So OP, my point is this: Don't start something you can't see through properly. Let your sister know the inherent disadvantage of what she wants to do. Your dad's idea to me is the best. The Alhaja has been very charitable to your folks please don't repay her with this. |
5minsmadness:She's talking about a story on this section very similar to your story #1. Even I thought so too for a while there. @topic, Na wa o. The kind of things people in the name of marriage sha, really pathetic. A friend of mine also nearly got trapped with pregnancy by a chick. She claimed she was pregnant with twins and they must marry ASAP . Fortunately the whole ting blew up in her face, she had to fake a miscarriage . |
PinketteDawn:You nailed it right there. You can't beg or force someone to love you. I feel so sorry for the OP. This is the same man that gave her T fare to go back to her parents' house, even taking her keys, after she made an idle threat. From what I can see the man doesn't want you in his house any longer and he's looking for the slightest excuse to be rid of you. From your past thread, your previous relationship ended in 2013, you married this guy in 2014, I don't think you guys got to know eachother really well before tying the knot. On the issue of conception. I hope you know you have a ticking biological clock. Why do you want to waste your youth on a philanderer who doesn't want to have kids with you? It may be because he doesn't want you to have his kids that he's not paying attention to his motility. I see you want to do everything to save your marriage so maybe you should listen to those that said you should try to be the best wife you can be, but just remember if he REALLY loves you, he won't want you out of his house at the slightest provocation. All the best. |
dominique:seems they haven't gotten the memo as the site is still fully functional. More annoying is that the actual immigration site has not bothered to inform the public about this. Nigerians, please and please ignore anyone asking you to pay for a recruitment. There are lots of gainfully employed people who didn't have to pay a penny to get a job. I know its not easy but its best to just ignore these crooks. useless bunch of mofos. e no go better for them. |
Wow. To think I passed that road around 1.30, nothing out of the ordinary just the usual heavy traffic. I can imagine the chaos. Hope no fatalities sha. |
DonCortino:Abi o. OP, you have not found a wife. People like that hardly change. People with wives like that hardly succeed in life. Don't be surprised that you'll still be living in your rented 2 bedroom flat by your 30th wedding anniversary. REAL wives support their husbands financially and otherwise. Oga run fast now before its too late. |
Siena:I never called the father a criminal or a kidnapper, the article did. However, we must admit his method of getting the child leaves more questions than answers. Why would he go to his school with armed police officers rather than his home. Who issued FULL UNCONDITONAL custody to a parent without a court hearing? like I said earlier, a woman would have to be stark raving mad, a danger to society for a Judge to grant such. People keep mentioning the story is one-sided, he hasn't told his side. Well, BXB has been going on social media for months now, he has plenty of opportunity to tell his side. A simple statement through his lawyers will do. As for joint custody arrangements, he's a foreigner working in Nigeria, They should be able to work something out. This is not the first time separated parents stay across the pond from each other. |
Siena:Who awards custody to a parent without a full court hearing with both parties present. Our legal system has turned to a nasty joke. What evidence did the court consider before handing FULL CUSTODY the father. The mother would have to be a lunatic drug addict before such an can be given out. There's nothing wrong whit having joint custody of the child, but full custody? Without a court hearing No no no |
erico2k2:You must have skipped the part where she said she was never served any papers neither was there a court appearance. The foreigner must have bribed some paralegals or so to quickly rustle up the court order for full unconditional custody. I've said it before. There's an unavoidable curse for anyone who deliberately tries to sever the mother-child bond. When God Himself has placed the rank of a mother to her child higher than anyone else on this earth, one yeye man wants to go against that. He will surely face God's wrath both on earth and the hereafter. |
Baroba:Very true. same thing crossed my mind. People are probably embezzling the money meant to feed the poor animals. Poor lion. I don't think he's even alive sef ![]() |
LordReed:Thank you o. Same thin crossed my mind. What has bull dozers got to do with rice production Aren't those meant for demolition? |
Even animals have the common sense to see that rather than attack the side chick, face the man! Ladies learn ![]() See the side chick looking like 'warris all this nah'. |
FabioPeter:Hmmm. Not my company o. You have to attach d receipts, flight tickets and a claims form to the memo. Then you wait for ages while audit dept ascertain if your ticket is real or fake before you can smell any money o. |
I don't get it. Even if your boss drew up the memo for you to travel, shouldn't you still include the flight tickets and other receipts before such payments can be made? At least that's how it works in my company so as to avoid the type of fraud this OP's boss is trying to perpetuate. |
Walahi I only opened this topic to read the comments and see my gals bash the op. I wasn't disappointed ![]() Some clown up there even added winches in tue village to the list hehehehehe ![]() |
[s] cold:[/s] That was uncalled for. I'm not a christian, but I can testify to the fact RCCG repairs major roads leading to their church at least twice a year. Anyone that plies the mowe- simawa- likosi area can also testify to it. |
IlesanmiG:But the report stated they repaired the ikorodu- ogijo- sagamu road. That's a federal road. Abi someone isn't telling the whole truth here ni ![]() But on reading over the story, why will the governor rush over to the construction site in the dead of the night? Is it some kind of emergency? I also heard from various people that its RCCG repairing the road, it could be a joint effort but why will the State government try to take all the glory? |
“It is also on record that the Ogun StateIts so good to know that road has been renovated. It was one of the worst roads I've ever passed through, especially during thr rainy season. The long bridge, warewa potholes too has been causing serious nightmares for commuters, imagine people spending over 2 hours on a 4km bridge! Double thumbs up to the ogun state government. |
I remember seeing the number 9 story on an episode of 1000 ways to die. Also that of the Siamese queen. |
Edunwa302:That's the job of the road safety officials, not the motorists. they should have cordoned off the road so people won't get too close to the imminent danger. But then again this is Nigeria *sigh |
That's not lagos state. Nasfat is in ogun state, so i don't know why people are screaming Ambode . I asked around and was told what they're scooping isn't petrol. All the same, this kind of behaviour should be discouraged in every way. |
This is so wrong. In a saner society, that club would have been shut down with it owners facing charges. Paedophilia is so rampant these days, these shameless club are simply trying to attract a new set of customers, the paedophiles. |

How come so many people dine know Tyrese Gibson? Na wa o. He started off as a model and R' n B singer in d 90s, then moved on to acting. He was in fast and furious, Transfomers amongst other films. As for Stella and hubby. What's with all the hashtags on top a Skype call? You had to waste money to buy 20copies of an album to get the call and you're here rejoicing as if he's some kind of god. No dey fall hand o. |
keep em coming. Read all 5 pages in one sitting. Nice remedy for a boring Saturday. |
Margarine is actually the healthy alternative compated to butter cos of its presence of poly saturated fatty acids. Butter is more likely to clog the arteries. |
ozycy:Thanks dear, na vigilante tinz plus my fone is doing one kain. Now to part 2 Labour ward wasn't funny at all. First they had to burst d membrane. Nasty shi. Pushing wasn't as easy as my previous baby. See me begging for episiotomy . After like 5 pushes, out came her head . The rest of d body no gree comot. Hurry up make we pass baton to d August mamas. They're becoming too anxious . |
Na wa o. The way this thread flies ehn ![]() Congrats to all the new mamas. God bless them for us. Anyways, my birth story is kinda short. Surprisingly short sef. I've been feeling weird and funny all day on Saturday but I didn't think much if it. By midnight I woke up with my usual urge to pee, but this time it felt different. .... the Braxton hicks was more aggressive than normal, so I started to time it. By 1am I was convinced it was Labour but was feeling reluctant to wake DH cos I know he'll rush us to d hospital kia kia. By 1.15 I changed my mind nd woke him. Expectedly he started hurrying to get dressed. I wss like but its past 1 nah, what's d rush lets still wait till almost dawn nah. Story he no hear o. So by 2 am we were at d clinic. True true around 4.45 , they came for another check and I was sent straight to d Labour room woah see epistle. watch out for part 2 ![]() |
