AideeSheks:Wa alaykum salam warahmotullah wabarakatuhu. Alhamdulillah we are surely progressing. We just concluded Surah Ash-Shahr on to Dhuha .My promounciation and Tajweed has also improved greatly, ma shaa Allah, now my ustazah is suggesting i be her co-tutor and handle the last surahs . I said make she pay me from the part of our sch fees nah ![]() How far with yours? Have you found a tutor or you're still learning on your own? To me, you can do it on your own by listening to sow reciters constantly while reading the Qur'an. Barakallah feek. |
everhopeful:OP, take this advice to the bank! Best advice I've read in a while. You should feel honoured that she sees your mother as hers. Your actions showed her you consider her an outsider, not a part of your family. Just follow the advice above. Your marriage is still young, things like this are bound to happen. Acting up and getting angry at her won't solve the problem, but create new ones. |
thorpido:Fertility tests on women involved a lot of painful, expensive and invasive procedures. All the man has to do is jerk off in a cap. Fertility tests should be carried on the man first before subjecting the woman to the rigorous ones. But then again, this is Africa, once a couple is unable to conceive, immediately all fingers are pointed to the woman. #sigh |
AideeSheks:Ameen. Jazakallahu khayran. Hope you've also gotten some into an institution or an ustaz? May Allah ease all our affairs. lexiconkabir:Ameen Jazakallahu khayran. Yes we treated qalqala back when we were on Suratul Falaq, Ikhlas and Masad, though I'm familiar with the 5 huroof and the concept. |
lexiconkabir:Masha Allahu. I'm still having some challenges with the elongations and gunnah on Suratul Kafiruun, but I'm getting it gradually. |
lexiconkabir:Wa alaykum salam, It's progressing, Alhamdulillah. It's getting easier with each class. The app I downloaded has also been really useful, even my Ustazah has downloaded it too . We just concluded Suratul Kafiruun. We treated your above point some weeks ago ![]() |
Anabell2: Na wa o. I didn't come to familyland for a few days, see wetin happen in just a few days. This is serious. What a spoilt, self entitled person she is. Parents- wicked Both baby daddies-wicked Colleagues at fashion school- wicked Familylanders- wicked Seems she have issues with everyone she comes in contact with. It's time to look inwards to see where the problems lies. If you want people's to drop their hard earned cash, you need to convince them you've done everything within your means to provide for yourself and kid. But you keep making excuses and blaming everyone but yourself for your predicament. Your opening posts with the repeated suicide threats were so annoying, who are you trying to blackmail? Onegai, you go girl. Don't stop preaching your truth. She needs a good dose of tough love to clear her eyes. |
Amelian:Ameen o, thanks. Maybe I might need the contacts of your Fadeyi boys ![]() |
Amelian:Imagine that. Shameless old men. I actually felt an elderly person will not want to disgrace himself in the hands of someone young enough to be his daughter. I was clearly wrong. It's still one story after the next. Thanks dear. At least I'm not starving or suffering cos I decided to pity an agbaya. Lessons learnt sha. |
I've seen a nollywood movie with the exact storyline nah also set in port Harcourt. |
Amelian:Na wa o. Even a so called man of God can do that o. I would have been surprised but a 'pastor' did something similar to me. He begged and begged and made a plan of how the money will be paid back. He was so convincing, also we've worked together for sometime and I can testify that he's honest. So I assisted with the money o, even though my husband told me to be careful, that people are always quick to come and borrow but when it's time to pay back na story dem go dey say. I sha pitied him. That was back in February, no be October we be so? It wasn't until I confided in another colleague that I got to know who this man truly is. He's has borrowed money from so many people, my own sef na change compared to what he has borrowed left right and centre. He was pained that I didn't ask around before giving him the money cos he would have told me all these. I felt so betrayed. This is a 'pastor' we're talking about o. About 50 years old, old enough to have a daughter my age. ![]() Now every time I ask it's one story or another. The annoying thing is if you don't ask he won't even bring it up. Someone also complained about that, he also lent the useless man some money, when the promised time elapsed, he didn't say a word, just kept on as of nothing happened. The Op is lucky to get her money back jare. Nowadays people are so inconsiderate, it's sickening. |
GreatManBee:Has the terrible flood gotten to orimerunmu? That's closer to mowe nah. I don't know how they let this matter get out of hand. I passed by this morning, the floor is about to submerge the long bridge |
ak47yong:That's the issue I'm having with this MMM ish. You're promised 30% of you initial deposit. The question is where is this 30% coming from? There's no trade or investment involved yet people are credited with money prom subsequent investors. That's haraam money from shaytan there are no two ways about it. It's riba and God fearing Muslims should stay away from it. |
FriendChoice:Jazakumulla khayran. You're right. Sudais recites really fast, I find it difficult to keep up. Khusary has made hifz really easy for me. It's tajweed I'm trying to focus on right now. lexiconkabir:Alright then. Thanks for the encouragement. |
lexiconkabir:Ok. How will I be sure that I'm making sense after going 2 or 3 words back as I don't understand Arabic. For instance in suratul Qadr Tanazzalu'l malaaaikatul wa'l ruuhu feeha bihidzni rabbihim mmin kulli amr One reciter (Sudais, I think) does read the ayah in one breath, he goes back to 'bihidzni rabbihim.... My question is how does a learner like me know that's the right word to skip back to. Hope you understand? |
Contact17:Ameen wa yaki. I'm glad to know my story is motivating. I'm a great admirer of your threads. Very educational. May Allah (swt) continue to strengthen our imaan. |
Salam alaykum, OP please note that monies obtained MMM and its like falls under what is known as riba which means interest or usury. Allah has strongly condemned the collection of interest in many verses in the Quran. "Those who consume interest cannot stand ( on the day of resurrection) except as one stand who is being beaten by satan into insanity......''Q2-175 "O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled or multiplied (income), but fear Allah that you may be successful" Q3-130 "....And their taking of usury while they have been forbidden from it....." Q4-161 These are jsut a few Ayahs from the noble Quran. I don't noemally like to use Hadiths for reference as one can't be sure of its Authenticity. Also note that schemes like these and many more are one of the means shaytan is usung to deviate the ummah from the path of Allah. He (satan) has vowed to make immoralities more attactive to mankind so as to make them disobey their Rabb. Fear Allah and the Last Day. Pray for Allah's sustenance. May He make it easy for us. Allahu alam. |
lexiconkabir:That's the best way to learn arabic. I was solely depending on reciters like Sudais and Husary, while simultaneously reading the Quran. But the best way to get the words right is to sit face to face with your ustaz and watch how their lips move. Constantly repeating the words alongside the reciter makes it easier as well. We treated Suratul-Nnas yesterday, chai!!! . All I can say is astaghfirullahi for years of mispronounciation. Allahu alam. |
FriendChoice:In shaa Allah. I'll really appreciate that. Jazakumullahu Khayran |
Alhamdulillahi i stumbled upon this thread. Jazakumullahu khayran brother lexiconkabir. I also just started a tajweed class 2 days ago (evening school for illiterate mamas like us ). Having had no formal Arabic education, all I always depend on is recitations. However, there's nothing compared to having someone break down each letter and pronounciations. Can you imagine the entire first session was just to learn "Audzubilllahi minashaytani rrajeem" At my first recital, I was feeling like one kain G, only for my tutor to point out about 8 errors I've made on just that phrase . Alhamdulillah I'm improving.lexiconkabir:@bolded Now I get it. I've often wondered why reciters like Sudais ususlly goes a few words back whenever he's on a long Ayah. Jazakumullah Khayran |
OP, kindly consider these lines in the Lord's Prayer: 'Give us this day'- Are you trying to say God hasn't given christian the 'day' ever since they've been reciting that prayer daily? If it has been answered surely they won't need not to include it in their daily prayers. ''And deliver us from evil- Surely a prayer recited by million of christians daily ought to have waned off every form of evil from the earth. Does it mean it has not been answered? That line in the Opening verse of the Quran simply means asking Allah (swt) not to deviate us from His Path, not to follow the path of the disbelivers. It's a constant struggle to remain on the path of Islam with the satan and his agents constantly tempting Mankind to deviate. Do you know that satan promised Allaah when he sent off heaven that he will do everything to ensure man will worship him (satan) rataher than Allah? We need to constantly ask the Almighty to keep us on the right path. I hope you understand now. Also I've gone through your other threads. Your skewed translations of Quran and fake Hadiths are nothing short of laughable. Allahu alam. |
Mufti Menk in Kaduna? Wish I was there!!!!.One of the best Quran reciters I've ever heard. I love his lectures, can listen to them all day ![]() |
I really can't wait for Mosimi and Ejigbo to resume loading ops. The congestion at capital is too much. Make these tanks no be for decoration o. |
feranmi400:This one is not even full. Come and see the one we saw on Lagos-ibadan exp. Overloaded with tomatoes. But they carried a police officer with them. An FRSC official was about to stop the bus, but he had to let them go after sighting the police man. |
Coolgent:The MO is typical for ritualists. I've read and re read the story, So the Imam condemned her preaching therefore he's responsible for her killing? A woman moving around alone before dawn is easy prey for ritualists, but hate and sentiments have made people incapable of reasoning. God knows best. May her soul RIP and may God console her loved ones. |
gameboy727:My dear, most of them do. I've come accross a number of them who are neck deep in coop loans. Heard of one who took a 10m loan for his father's burial in d villge. The loans are so accessible and easy that its sometimes irrresistible. I know some sensible ones who took large loans to float their businesses. Some people pay up loans till the day they retire and then, what next.....? |
Jamean:As in ehn. Having had both I can assure you that I'll gladly go for V- birth anytime. The horrible pains, the nasty migraine I had as a reaction to the spinal anaesthesia, the rules and regulations on what and when to eat nko? I hate feeling so helpless and useless. Imagine needing assistance for the most mundane of tasks. Jeez! I'll never forget that nightmare. V birth is also painful . But you're basically back to your normal self the moment the lil Angel pops out and you're out by the next day. |
Rexleo:Domestic violence knows no gender. Anybody, be it make or female, in a violent relationship should back out before it's too late and pay with their lives. That being said I have not seen any female make excuses for the killer lawyer lady the way most guys would.Have if the case was reversed. And please my good people stop quoting and responding to mrbeastjay. The father doesn't want or care about his daughter, should she shove her down his throat? |
Enyimbamercedes:Abi o. Especially on Lag-Ibadan express way, where those massive trucks like move at snail speed on the fast lane! Biko, how will it be possible to overtake from the left in that scenario. Anyways good points made there by the OP. I've seen quite a few overtakings gone awry. |
Beautifully written ![]() On the issue of heat. I find it funny that I barely feel hot even when uncovered people are bitterly complaining. Someone once asked me how I haven't fainted in this heat with all my covering I guess the brain has just adjusted the internal body temperature.People also think my husband is responsible for my dressing. Like I'm too dumb to make an independent decision, a man must force me to dress abi ![]() Ladies should understand the hijab is more than a clothing accessory, its a call of duty to Allah(swt). It goes beyond the dressing all the veil. It also encompassing of the character, mannerisms etc. |
