Asalam alaykum k4kenny.
Wanted to ask how the progress is going with your tajweed class.
Wa alaykum salam warahmotullah wabarakatuhu. Alhamdulillah we are surely progressing. We just concluded Surah Ash-Shahr on to Dhuha smiley.
My promounciation and Tajweed has also improved greatly, ma shaa Allah, now my ustazah is suggesting i be her co-tutor and handle the last surahs grin. I said make she pay me from the part of our sch fees nah wink

How far with yours? Have you found a tutor or you're still learning on your own? To me, you can do it on your own by listening to sow reciters constantly while reading the Qur'an. Barakallah feek.
FamilyRe: Who Will You Take Sides With, Me Or My Wife? by k4kenny(f): 3:17pm On Dec 18, 2016
everhopeful:
@op: Your wife seems to me like good woman. I believe that during your traditional wedding, your wife was told that your mother is now her mother and your family is now her family, and it seems your wife wholeheartedly took those words literally, believed this and acted accordingly since you said she has a good relationship with your mother.

Your action just told her the reality and don't be surprised when she actually starts treating your family as different from hers because that was the message you guys clearly passed across: that your mother is not her mother and can never be.

Your home is yet young, so please do not destroy it with carelessness. Your primary interrst shouldn't be about rights or wrong but about the fact that your wife felt hurt by the exclusion, which may have been reduced if she wasn't the only spouse in law as this may otherwiise have reduced the impact of the exclusion.

If really your priority is in making your home work and not on people taking sides, I would advise that you apologise to your wife and let her know you consider her a part of your family. Tell her you naively thought it was just a picture and didn't think she would be hurt.

May God bless and keep your home.
OP, take this advice to the bank! Best advice I've read in a while. You should feel honoured that she sees your mother as hers. Your actions showed her you consider her an outsider, not a part of your family. Just follow the advice above. Your marriage is still young, things like this are bound to happen. Acting up and getting angry at her won't solve the problem, but create new ones.

If a couple is trying to conceive, usually it's the woman who is subjected to tests first. If after running tests on the woman and the results are good, the torch should be shone on the man.
Why would a couple trying to conceive wait for years without the man undergoing tests?

As a couple, you both should know where the problem is so you can both deal with it.
In many cases, the men don't subject themselves to tests and the women have to bear the burden of barreness. As a woman,if you get tested and you are all clear,na to drag your hubby go hospital.
Fertility tests on women involved a lot of painful, expensive and invasive procedures. All the man has to do is jerk off in a cap. Fertility tests should be carried on the man first before subjecting the woman to the rigorous ones.

But then again, this is Africa, once a couple is unable to conceive, immediately all fingers are pointed to the woman.

Ismu jalala

This part deals with how Allaah's(azza wa jal) name is pronounced when found in the Qur'an, hence the title.

When you a fatha or a dammah comes before the name Allaah, you pronounce Allaah with a "O-shaped" mouth, for example "قل هوَ ٱللّه أحد" will be pronounced as "Qul huwalloohu ahad" and "نصرُ ٱللّه وٱلفتح" will be pronounced as "nasrulloohi wal fath" but if it is kasra that comes before the name of Allaah, you pronounce the name with a "carpet-shaped" mouth, example is "فى دينِ ٱللّه أفواخًا" pronounced as "fi deenillaahi afwaaja"...

Salaam alaykum k4kenny, how far have you gone with your tajweed class?

Now on this same thread October 2016 she says she met a man who took care of all her financial needs until she got pregnant for him (3 months) before he left her.
Was the 2nd baby daddy not taking care of her before using an alt to post asking for Sex in exchange for cash huh

The only thing she doesn't need help for, is having SEX frequently without caution undecided every other thing, working etc she's lazy at.

@sisisioge, u really tried.. Since the day I help one stupid Pastor money, and it was not even my money sef to do one business he said he has been pursuing and am his only hope.. Cause no one was ready to help him with the cash, he nearly knelt down... I said pls o, don't kneel down it has not gotten to that yet, pls.. I felt for him and I went to my friends to borrow money and gave him, hoping he will pay me back at the stipulated time.. I called the Pastor, how far ? He was given me stories ..i was so angry but I controlled it and he promised a month later.. A month ran into months.. My friends who always believed in me, were disappointed in me, and that's one thing I hate, going back on promises... Chai... I hate it like mad.. I eventually paid everyone their money.. I felt so angry with myself for been so gullible over the pastor. Have learnt my lesson.. I can never borrow any guy ,any pastor as long as he is a man, money for anything.. I can dash but not borrow... And
When am married, I can dash my husband any amount but not bf or male friends.. Female friends? Yes. Especially the ones who has been there for me.
God will help us all amen.
Na wa o. Even a so called man of God can do that o. I would have been surprised but a 'pastor' did something similar to me. He begged and begged and made a plan of how the money will be paid back. He was so convincing, also we've worked together for sometime and I can testify that he's honest. So I assisted with the money o, even though my husband told me to be careful, that people are always quick to come and borrow but when it's time to pay back na story dem go dey say. I sha pitied him. That was back in February, no be October we be so? It wasn't until I confided in another colleague that I got to know who this man truly is. He's has borrowed money from so many people, my own sef na change compared to what he has borrowed left right and centre. He was pained that I didn't ask around before giving him the money cos he would have told me all these. I felt so betrayed. This is a 'pastor' we're talking about o. About 50 years old, old enough to have a daughter my age. angry

Now every time I ask it's one story or another. The annoying thing is if you don't ask he won't even bring it up. Someone also complained about that, he also lent the useless man some money, when the promised time elapsed, he didn't say a word, just kept on as of nothing happened.

The Op is lucky to get her money back jare. Nowadays people are so inconsiderate, it's sickening.

That's the issue I'm having with this MMM ish. You're promised 30% of you initial deposit. The question is where is this 30% coming from? There's no trade or investment involved yet people are credited with money prom subsequent investors. That's haraam money from shaytan there are no two ways about it. It's riba and God fearing Muslims should stay away from it.
IslamRe: Tajweed by k4kenny(f): 9:41pm On Oct 02, 2016

Apart from end of Aya, there are certain places that have comas(,) and full stop in the Quran. So you can also stop at those points. For places without that, my brother has explain it to you. If you want to learn those stoping places and tajweed, listen to reciters like AL-Manshawi, Khalil Khusari and thier likes NOT Sudais, Shureem Maheer etc. Those you heard from them are Prayer (Namaz) recitation. They may be quicker in their recitation
Jazakumulla khayran. You're right. Sudais recites really fast, I find it difficult to keep up. Khusary has made hifz really easy for me. It's tajweed I'm trying to focus on right now.

lexiconkabir:
He did that cuz he understands what he is saying, but if you don't understand Arabic, just pick two or three words from behind(but to me two words is fine), that's the consensus, with time, youll know how to pick up verses even without thinking just like driving where you are always concious while learning but when you've mastered it, you drive without thinking.
So as a learner don't worry about that, just pick two words or three,
A quick motivation:
The prophet said “The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward.”
So either way you will be happy in the hereafter if you read the Quran, the thing is, just be frequent in reading it for if you abandon it, it will abandon you like the camel abandons his owner that you search and search for it, I'm talking from experience confirming the words of the prophet.
Alright then. Thanks for the encouragement.
IslamRe: Tajweed by k4kenny(f): 7:38pm On Oct 02, 2016
lexiconkabir:
Actually if you understand the meaning of what you are saying, you can even pick up right from where you stopped the aayah, reciters like sudais does this alot, for example in the Qur'an we have;

مَثَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِذْ قَالَ لِلْإِنسَانِ اكْفُرْ

If i say "mathalish shaytaan" and stop then start from "idh qaala lil insaanikfur" i would be correct without going two words back(its just an example), because it makes sense that way since it gives the real meaning intended just as how it does when read without breaking it.

But for non Arabic speakers, it's safer to go two or three words back.
Ok. How will I be sure that I'm making sense after going 2 or 3 words back as I don't understand Arabic. For instance in suratul Qadr

Tanazzalu'l malaaaikatul wa'l ruuhu feeha bihidzni rabbihim mmin kulli amr

One reciter (Sudais, I think) does read the ayah in one breath, he goes back to 'bihidzni rabbihim.... My question is how does a learner like me know that's the right word to skip back to. Hope you understand?

IslamRe: Islamic Ruling On MMM by k4kenny(f): 3:36pm On Oct 02, 2016
Salam alaykum, OP please note that monies obtained MMM and its like falls under what is known as riba which means interest or usury. Allah has strongly condemned the collection of interest in many verses in the Quran.

"Those who consume interest cannot stand ( on the day of resurrection) except as one stand who is being beaten by satan into insanity......''Q2-175

"O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled or multiplied (income), but fear Allah that you may be successful" Q3-130

"....And their taking of usury while they have been forbidden from it....." Q4-161

These are jsut a few Ayahs from the noble Quran. I don't noemally like to use Hadiths for reference as one can't be sure of its Authenticity.

Also note that schemes like these and many more are one of the means shaytan is usung to deviate the ummah from the path of Allah. He (satan) has vowed to make immoralities more attactive to mankind so as to make them disobey their Rabb. Fear Allah and the Last Day. Pray for Allah's sustenance. May He make it easy for us.

As in, classroom thing..... Learning with a teacher right next to you.
That's the best way to learn arabic. I was solely depending on reciters like Sudais and Husary, while simultaneously reading the Quran. But the best way to get the words right is to sit face to face with your ustaz and watch how their lips move. Constantly repeating the words alongside the reciter makes it easier as well. We treated Suratul-Nnas yesterday, chai!!! embarassed. All I can say is astaghfirullahi for years of mispronounciation. Allahu alam.

I also just started a tajweed class 2 days ago (evening school for illiterate mamas like us grin). Having had no formal Arabic education, all I always depend on is recitations. However, there's nothing compared to having someone break down each letter and pronounciations. Can you imagine the entire first session was just to learn "Audzubilllahi minashaytani rrajeem" At my first recital, I was feeling like one kain G, only for my tutor to point out about 8 errors I've made on just that phrase shocked grin. Alhamdulillah I'm improving.

lexiconkabir:
Wa alaykum salaam
If there are no pause marks to where you run out of breath, the general consensus is that you go 2 or 3 words back and resume the recitation (so as to make sure it forms a better sense of that ayah and perhaps to make sure the last word recited was complete). Most beginners however can omit this method and pickup from where they stopped (since they are learning).
The more you practice, the more you will have a faint idea of where to pick up, always listen to other reciters.
@bolded
Now I get it. I've often wondered why reciters like Sudais ususlly goes a few words back whenever he's on a long Ayah. Jazakumullah Khayran
IslamRe: Muslims Prayer That Is Never Answered by k4kenny(f): 1:15pm On Oct 02, 2016
OP, kindly consider these lines in the Lord's Prayer:

'Give us this day'- Are you trying to say God hasn't given christian the 'day' ever since they've been reciting that prayer daily? If it has been answered surely they won't need not to include it in their daily prayers.

''And deliver us from evil- Surely a prayer recited by million of christians daily ought to have waned off every form of evil from the earth. Does it mean it has not been answered?

That line in the Opening verse of the Quran simply means asking Allah (swt) not to deviate us from His Path, not to follow the path of the disbelivers. It's a constant struggle to remain on the path of Islam with the satan and his agents constantly tempting Mankind to deviate. Do you know that satan promised Allaah when he sent off heaven that he will do everything to ensure man will worship him (satan) rataher than Allah? We need to constantly ask the Almighty to keep us on the right path. I hope you understand now.

Also I've gone through your other threads. Your skewed translations of Quran and fake Hadiths are nothing short of laughable.
