oladapoa1: You live in Ikorodu. Board a bus to Oshodi, how did your bus now passed through toll gate, to meiran not *meron*.
When...
I am just confused.
At least let's be constructive in everything. Its sounds very absurd
I thought I was the only one not understanding his bus movements. He left Ikorodu in the morning to Ogun State via Oshodi, how is it possible to get to to toll gate before meiran?? They should have reviewed the script before the stage performance
MEILYN: They are the chosen people of God. They have all the rights in the world to kill and insult black people anyhow they like. We should worship them, serve their God and protect them by all means.
Anyone who insults this Rabbi wouldn't make heaven. I repeat, leave God's people alone, they are allowed to do anything they want to the inferior black race. God brought them to this earth to judge us, the Bible says Israel will judge the world. We are lucky to still be alive, we are descendants of Cain in the Bible and we don't deserve anything good. Ohh, God of Israel, I worship you.
Honestly I thought you were being sarcastic at first, thought you were joking. But This kind of thing coming out of a supposed adult is truly worrisome. The sheeples truly needs to be freed from this mentality slavery.
PS you do realise these your so called 'God's people' don't believe in Jesus right?
I know that feeling of letting go of the relaxed ends. I planned on transitioning for at least 2 years but I couldn't wait any longer anymore lol. I just hadi to cut it. You'll know when you're ready
The relaxed ends are gradually breaking off. At this rate, I might not need to chop it off. I was using just coconut oil before, but it wasn't enough. Now I've learnt morning about prepoo, and moisturizing, also bought some products that strength natural hair. Really cool.
Transitioned for a year and three months and literally obsessed with my hair. It was the best hair decision I ever made. No regrets
Wow! Beautiful hair you've got there. Was the pic taken after the big chop? I've been transitioning for almost a year now(I don't have the mind to chop off the hair) , my once shoulder length hair can barely reach my neck now . But I'm getting the hang of it now, breakages has reduced greatly and the hair is getting healthier
shadeyinka: Every kind of comprehension or understanding is based on precepts. Without the required precept, comprehension is impossible.
If I am not aware of the concept of chemical elements, how can I comprehend what chemical compounds are.
Sorry, God is far above your comprehension. You cannot fit Him inside a physical number.
Let me jog your brain a little: God is present in every space of the Universe YET nearer to each one of us than the jagular vein of our neck. God hears every word spoken or unspoken by the almost 7 billion inhabitants of the earth YET God does not have an ear like you and me.
There are thousands of attributes of God that cannot be reduced into numbers.
Every Christian know of ONLY ONE GOD who created everything and this God cannot be fitted into one number
Here we go again with unnessasary confusion. God is not an Author of confusion as Jesus said in the Bible.
God is far beyond my comprehension abi? How laughable. Maybe you need complex metaphors to understand the concept of the Creator, buy here a a few things you should know about Him.
He is ONE. The Creator of the heavens and the earth Lord of the Mighty Throne His Footstool (not Throne) spans the Heavens and earth. The Most Loved The All Knowing and Most Wise I could go on and on, but time won't permit, I'm a working wife and mum biko.
Above all, worship Him and Him ONLY, As Jesus said. I have said my own, it's up to you to believe.
shadeyinka: Any one who implies that God is a wave or a particle is a compound fool and I didn't insinuate that.
The fact that from mathematics, we know numerology and so can distinguish between one and three does not make God part of mathematics. However, if you don't understand the concept of 1 from numerology how can you understand the oneness of God.
So, back to my question: If you don't understand the concept of duality of the mundane aspect of Gods creation creation (matter), how would you understand the duality or trinity of the higher creations?
Life shouldn't be complex, but it is extremely complex because God is too complicated for us.
When you comprehend the wave-particle duality of matter, then you are ready to understand the ONENESS of God.
My dear, why can't you provide a direct response? All you've done is dance around in circles without giving a tangible answer. Everything I've written and said is direct and straight to the point. Now you're implying that since I don't have an understanding of mundane aspects of God's creation, so I can't understand the concept of trinity. So you mean to say you understand EVERYTHING about every single subject around you? You know book gan o.
Anyhoo, be like Jesus, worship one God in truth. It'll be better for you
shadeyinka: You don't have to be a physicist to understand what wave particle duality of matter is.
If you don't understand material things how do you think you can understand duality or trinity of personalities such as angels, humans, animals and even God.
So, go back google is your friend (that is) if you truly seek knowledge.
When you convince me you understand the mundane nature of in-animate physical things then you are getting matured to understand spiritual things
My friend, God is neither a wave nor a particle. Life doesn't have to be too complicated. God is ONE, He created the heavens, the earth, angels prophets and everything you can think of. Now why do I need to consult google about wave duality to understand that brief concept? Life shouldn't be that complicated dear.
Orodje: Why will Satan tempt Jesus knowing fully well he is God and he owns the whole universe, the thing nor make sense to me I need somebody to explain to me
Simple answer: Jesus is an esteemed Messenger of God and not God Himself. The messenger can be tempted but not the Most High
Quality20: Are u igbos calling urselves xtians real xtians or pure ritualist? U guys only call urseves xtian cos of convenience but deep down most of u are idolists
Are you minding them? Igbos believe traditional wedding is more important than church! A typical Igbo person will tell you that a person married in both church and court isn't married as long as trad hasn't been done. In fact a woman can get pregnant if she has done only trad wedding. Doesn't matter if the union hasn't been solemnised in the church (that's not important). Soon they'll come and tell me they're Christians and believe Jesus is their Lord and personal bla bla (lol).
In Islam, Nikkah is the most important. A woman can get pregnant if Nikkah rites has been performed. Any couple living together with performing Nikkah is committing Zinah(fornication).
here is a write up of my thinking for leaving Islam
My Father is Muslim and my Mother is Christian. Many atimes my father has beaten my mother and when we complain or my uncles on my mothers side complain my father replies
"You know I am a muslim man and follow the Quo'ran to the letter. In Islam we are told to beat our wives if she mispleases us"
So I asked my father to explain what he said and he showed me the quo'ran that say's clearly you can beat your wife.
Qur'an (38:44) - "And take in your hand a green branch AND BEAT HER WITH IT,"
Qur'an (4:34) - " Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to ....... BEAT THEM;
So I tried to comfort my mum, when she said "She will not encourage her daughters to marry a Muslim" And I asked her why not and she said in her Christianity men are commanded to LOVE THEIR WIVES NOT BEAT
Again I asked for proof and she showed me these in the bible which I checked.
Ephesians 5:25 (KJV) Husbands, LOVE YOUR WIVES, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Colossians 3:19 Husbands, LOVE YOUR WIVES, and BE NOT BITTER AGAINST THEM.
These verses in the bible shocked me.
So brothers please tell me how come our quoran encourages beating our women while the Christians God & Bible says not to beat our wives,
I have even sought teachings on this and all the Imams teach you to beat your wife.
This is worrying to me, as I wont want my sisters to be beaten by her husband. So am I agreeing that my sisters should marry a Christian and not a muslim.?
Also why does your bible command you not to beat your wife, while our quoran commands us to beat our wives?
After doing my research I left Islam.
And can say one striking difference apart from loving your wife, is that Christians have a promise of salvation which muslims do not have.
John 3 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.
Even Mohammed is not promised salvation
Sura 46:9 "I am not something original among the messengers, NOR DO I KNOW WHAT WILL BE DONE WITH ME OR WITH YOU(MUSLIMS)."
So comparing , you can see that Jesus is better.
Interesting how you conveniently edited a full verse Rd about six lines to just two to make a your ridiculous point. Below is the verse you summarised.
(Dr. Mustafa Khattab) Men are the caretakers of women, as men have been provisioned by Allah over women and tasked with supporting them financially. And righteous women are devoutly obedient and, when alone, protective of what Allah has entrusted them with. And if you sense ill-conduct from your women, advise them ˹first˺, ˹if they persist,˺ do not share their beds, ˹but if they still persist,˺ then discipline them ˹gently˺. But if they change their ways, do not be unjust to them. Surely Allah is Most High, All-Great.
-Sura An-Nisa', Ayah 34
This was taken directly from the Qur'an. Any man who hides behind Islam to toture maltreat his wife is a monster period. Allah has ordered men to be the protector and provider of the homes. How many people follow that these days. Your monster, wife beating father most likely doesn't provide for your mum as he has been ordered to. A man who bears his wife at the slightest provocation will face the wrath of his Creator. Tell that to your monster of a father.
AbdelKabir: Masha Allaah, so you can now read verse 54 of suratul baqarah without breaking?
Is it possible to recite verse 54 without breaking ? The Ustadh taking us via whatsapp broke it into 4 places, but I merged it into 3 places during my hifdz test.
Wow. Nice link Jazakumullah khayran ya ukthi. I'm really loving all these wonderful initiatives assisting with hifz. May Allah reward all of these efforts .
Salam alaykum, is there anyone interested in memorising the Qur'an via WhatsApp? The Ustadh who is taking through Suratul Baqarah has started another Whatsapp class, this time from Suratu-Nnaas upwards. Though it's not much compared to having an actual face to face Ustadh, he has been really helpful. Ma shaa Allah, we have memorised Suratul Baqarah to verse 57 ( page .
I'll try to get the invite link, but anyone interested can send me a PM. Or you can drop your name and number so I can send to him.
Mofpearl: How was your Tajweed when you were memorizing alone?
In fact I didn't even know anything about Tajweed at the time . I was just following the reciters, not knowing there were rules attached to their recitation. Luckily I stumbled upon this thread and met my tutor around that period and wallahi it all just came together. Even I am shocked in what I've achieved in less than a year. Alhamdulillah. These days I can't recite Surahs I've memorised without Tajweed, so interesting and engaging
This came at the right time. Your post gave me a boost. I was thinking of starting memorization again (alone).
I haven't been able to find a female teacher willing to take me in and I don't want a male tutor.
I was doing hifdz alone initially. It wasn't easy, the challenge wasn't there. If I hadn't come across my ustazah, not sure how far I would have gone. You can get a female tutor from your neighbourhood Masjid, who knows you might be lucky.
zarinaAin: In the Quran, there are some signs or punctuation marks called waqf. They are found in the middle or end of ayaat and give us an indication of whether stopping and pausing is permitted or not
It is important to know the correct points to stop or continue during recitation in order not to change or distort the meaning of the ayaat
If you follow this thread from the beginning, I think Abdelkabir has treated something like this before
Yes. There are points within an ayah where stopping is permitted. The picture attached shows what those signs stands for.
Assalam alaykum. It's been a while since I visited this thread. Ma shaa Allah, I'm really impressed at the efforts some are putting into memorization. May Allah make it easy for us all and reward our efforts with the best. Ameen.
For me, So far so good, we just finished Suratul Inshiqaq, in shaa Allah we'll start Mutafifeen( we took a break due to Ramadan).Alhamdulillah, my tajweed and pronounciationis improving. Also, I joined Tahfeedh class on Whatsapp earlier this year. We're gradually memorizing Suratul Baqarah. Ma shaa Allah, we're on verse 44. Maybe one of these days I'll send in one of my audio files
@Abdelkabir, I've downloaded the PDF file, haven't memorized it yet . got so much on my plate with my classes, home and work commitments. In shaa Allah, I'll try and make time for it. But it seems lengthy, what's the best method to memorise it?
how is ر supposed to be pronounced at certain places in the Quran?
we have tafkheem(heavy) and tarqeeq(light)
whats tafkheem? this is when you pronounce the ر with an "o" shaped mouth i.e a full mouth
what is tarqeeq? this is when you pronounce the ر with a widened mouth i.e empty mouth
tafkheem applies in the following cases;
1.) ر accompanied by fatha or dhammah e.g رَسول pronounced as "rosool", غيره pronounced as "ghayruh" , من رَّبك pronounced. as "mir robbik"
2.) ر accompanied with "sukoon" and the letter before it carries a dhammah and fatha (note: kasrah was not mentioned because it has a special case) e.g تُرْجعون and والاَرْض.
3.) ر accompanied with sukoon and the letter before it caries a kasrah. Now this is a special case because for it to be read with full mouth, the following letters must follow the "raa" that has sukoon; ق غ خ ض ظ ص ط if we notice each of these letters are normally pronounced with full mouth(i.e "o" shaped) e.g مِرْصادًا and فِرْقة
4.) ر with sukoon, either kasrah or dhammah & either kasratain or dhammatain at a stop(or where you wish to stop due to breaking of breath) or at the end of an ayah, if waw or alif madd comes before the raa, then its pronounced with full mouth. e.g شكُورٌ pronounced as "shukoor"(note that since you are stopping you won't say "shukoorun but shukoor) another example is بالكفّارٍ read as "bil kuffaar"(with full mouth, note: i didn't bring this example from the Qur'an, its just an example).
thats all for tafkheem, call my attention to any misunderstanding
will continue with tarqeeq in a bit...
Salam alaykum warahmotullah wabatakatuhu. It's been a while, just see this as well as others. I'm not really getting the ر ahkham. Even the app I downloaded is kinda confusing, using words like zabar and pesh
Wa alaykum salam warahmotullah wabarakatuhu sisters. The thread has been quiet for so long. I'll try as much as possible to be more visible in shaa Allah. #Hugs
I think it's a bit suspicious that this Blackbolt/Timonsky character knows so much about jtizie; His age, family history, location even phone number . Something doesn't add up.
