@. You told ur BIL to wash his own plates? Dayum!!! U bad gan grin grin. Anytime they come over and eat I usually tell them to leave the plates in the sink, afterall they're guests in my home and they come once in a while. Except for the youngest sha, imagine a 13 year old kid leaving plates for M̶̲̅ε̲̣ to clean up after him shior!!!

This is another irritating aspect of yoruba culture (sorry to say). Imagine someone leaving her home, family and last name behind only to be treated as a modern day errand girl all in the name or marriage. If you take a good look at most of the families that subject a woman to this kind of humiliation, you would see they're illiterate or semi illiterate. Thank God for my in-laws. I call all my BILs by name. This doesn't mean I don't respect them. As long as there's mutual love and respect, there should be no reason why you should regard your 10yr old SIL as iya oko (mother-in-law).

Another thing that bugs M̶̲̅ε̲̣ is how ladies feel they're entitled to their brother's wife's possessions because 'she got it with my brother's money nah'. I remember one of my room mates in uni who went to spend a weekend with her brother's fiancee (not wife o), she came back on sunday with lots of foodstuff and we teasing her of how she emptied her future SIL's kitchen. Her response was: leave M̶̲̅ε̲̣ jor, is it not my brother's money? :/ . I guess I should be thankful my hubby's got only brothers tongue

@ tjskii. Haers is the brand am using right now. The fake and original are exactly the same. I've heard about putting your ear close to mouth of the flask, but I still don't know how to tell the fake from genuine.

Cool. Congrats to them. Wishing them blissful unions. Wonder if they waited for one another or it was coincidental.
HealthRe: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by k4kenny(f): 1:36pm On Apr 15, 2013
Now that's a tricky one. The flask I got before I had my boy was horribly fake. To think d owner of the store assured us of its quality. It was as if he was trying to discard to useless product to d first clueless person. A couple of years later, my mum got M̶̲̅ε̲̣ the exact brand of flask, they were identical even down to the colour. I was perplexed, telling her not to have bought this fake brand. She assured M̶̲̅ε̲̣ that she trusted the lady who sold the flask. Lo and behold, on putting hot water in the flask, it kept it hot for the next 3 days.

Moral of the story: even if its a good brand, some unscrupulous traders might have tampered with it. Seek advice before going to buy.

Lol I know 16 teeth is a full plate at his age, never made connection with speech and communication. We enrolled him to a daycare in January hoping for improvements but its still pretty much the same. His motor functions are superb but the odd behaviours I've noticed in him are his tantrums and his habit of biting people whenever he's angry. Sometimes I think the tantrums and biting may be connected to his speech delay.

FamilyRe: Parental Guide: Bringing Up A Child by k4kenny(f): 2:27pm On Apr 08, 2013
Hi everybody. Nice thread.
My first son just turned 23 months old and I noticed his speech and vocabulary are not up to par with his age. According to the updates I receive from babycenter, his vocabulary should be up to 50 words and he should be able to communicate with short sentences, but my son can barely say 10 words clearly sad. Even kids that are months younger than he is are able to verbally communicate to an extent, though I try not to compare kids as every child has his pace. Even understanding simple commands like 'bring your cup' or 'sit down there' is a challenge and this is making potty training impossible sad .
I've tried everything from educational cds, speaking slowly to him in a singsong voice, singing and demonstrating.
I know kids are not to be rushed and shouldn't be compared to one another, but my question is: At what should I get worried about this and involve a professional? Apart from this issue, he's a handsome and healthy toddler as lively as ever cheesy.
FamilyRe: Is My Marriage At The Brink Of Collapse? by k4kenny(f): 6:58pm On Apr 06, 2013
The first couple of years in a marriage is usually fun, rosy and warm, just like the summer. Then baby makes 3 and responsibility sets in and priorities change. This sometimes makes the marriage cold and dull just like the winter. Every marriage goes through this phase in one way or another. This is a period of understanding between the couple.
Op hang in there, use this opportunity to understand your spouse better, let him know you're unhappy at the recent turn of events. The winter period is not permanent, after winter must come spring where everything is bright and colourful once again.
Your marriage is not failing, this is just a phase marriages goes through. Don't lose hope, the joint love you both feel for your baby to get closer to him. Above all, let there be communication between you two. This too shall pass smiley.

I aslo did 6 months EBF for my son and he was an orobo cheesy. We used to call him Michelin cos of all d folds on his thighs. Don't think EBF is responsible for babies' weight loss or gain, might be hereditary (am not fat o tongue). My 2 and a half month gal is also on ebf and she looks like a 4 month old!
FamilyRe: She Threaten 2 Divorce Me If I Dont Dissociate Myself From My Best Friend. by k4kenny(f): 8:35am On Apr 02, 2013
SMH for bad mothers who intrude in their daughter's marriage. What responsible mother would tell her PREGNANT daughter to consider leaving her matrimonial home? I have seen cases like this where the mother ruins her daughter's home and renders a a single mother, alone to fend for her self and kids. Except she's being maltreated, I see no reason to go to this extreme.

@Zeefa. Are the asking you to COMPLETELY dissociate from Dayo? If they are, then they're out of line. You need to put your foot down at MIL's level of involvement in ur marriage. You don't have to sacrifice your marriage for your friendship and vice-versa.

Not even cs could stop M̶̲̅ε̲̣ from tying a wrapper around my waist grin. I also wore a girdle tight shortly after my cs.
@adetunrayo. Its still early days , your uterus is still contracting and shrinking, breastfeeding also quickens this process. Yocan also try the hot water towel massage on your tummy (ara jijo).

@topic. Av got one of each, the lil boy is such a handful angry while his sister an absolute angel cheesy. Don't think I need anymore troublesome boys jor. If am going to av more kids I want girls.

@cameroonpride
My mum is d first in a polygamous home of 23 cool. She makes all d major decisions in the family. All of her younger brothers come to her first for approval before making any move in family matters. Of course there are some rebellious ones but for the most part, she's the ultimate decision maker in their family.
FamilyRe: Are Fathers Jealous Of Their Kids? by k4kenny(f): 10:51pm On Mar 29, 2013
Of course they are. Some men can't stand it when their wives are giving the kids so much attention. M̶̲̅ε̲̣ am so demonstrative in shwing affection for my kids, plenty of hugs nd kisses cheesy. Hubby doesn't really complains, he just stares with a funny expression like 'what's wron with this one sef?'
I was once at a family function where a 13month old boy was playing with his mum's b00bs (boys and b00bs sef tongue), the husband on seeing that, came over to them with such anger and slapped off the kid's hand saying ' how many times have I warned you not to play with my wife's b00bs shocked). He hit the baby so hard I was shocked, thought that was a bit over reactive. His wife clearly wasn't happy to see her lil boy spanked so hard but she just kept quiet.
I don't know the reason for their jealousy, maybe d daddys should come and explain from their own perspective.

StateOfMind: Did I just see "you married her but she dint marry you"

Sorry to say bros, but please do us a favour and return to the cave you came from.

You all talk as if ladies don't have goals too. These same girlfriends you talk about don't have lives ? They don't have friends whom they share aspiration too? Friends that have helped them grow to become better people? This Op here is married and you are not. Your friend can come first in you relationship but when marriage is concerned, your family comes first.

Why am I even wasting my time sef? Someone who already believes in 'I married you and not the other way round'. Someone who thinks no woman can add value to his life but chase value adding people away from him.

Shiorrr.
Don't mind the ignorant fellow. What's more disturbing is d fact that the OP identified most with this guy who has such a low opinion about women. This gives a an indication of the OP's own opinion of his wife.
FamilyRe: She Threaten 2 Divorce Me If I Dont Dissociate Myself From My Best Friend. by k4kenny(f): 4:41pm On Mar 29, 2013
OP, seem u've already made your decision as to who matters more in your life, but what d heck am still gonna give my opinion.
Life is not static, its ever-changing, you can't expect your life as a married man to be exactly the same as that of your bachelor days. Its a new life with new responsibilities.
Imagine the situation were reversed and you wife paid no attention to you, rather she's spending hours at a time discussing with her bff. How would it make you feel?
I also find it slightly unsettling that the only advise you totally agreed with came from an unmarried man, are you in the same situation? Do you have the same responsibilities?
Your best friend will always be your best friend. Reducing your talk time doesn't make you any less of a friend to him and vice versa.
grin grin grin at some of your comments.
@jidegirl. E jo e ma binu o, this insult plenty nah.
Christianity EtcRe: The Pegan Origin Of Easther by k4kenny(f): 2:11am On Mar 29, 2013
shocked shocked. Really? I have always wondered why the western world (mostly Americans) celebrate easter with coloured eggs, bunnies and so on. In fact they let these overshadow the true purpose of easter (Jesus' death and resurrection). Guess the whole notion of the founding fathers of America being satanists is looking more credible.
Any theologians in the house to shed more light on this? :-/

Is it limited to skin care? Can it be used for other therapeutic purposes? Some of the microbes used in the study like E.coli, S.aureus and pseudomonas affect internal organs can its extracts be taken orally to fight diseases?

This week's Meeting is titled: Corporate Deception (Achieving without #myogaatthetop).

It will feature 3 major speakers:

A barber who is also a landlord and owner of 3 houses

A welder who is also a landlord.

A vulcaniser in the same position as the other 2 above.
How were they able to achieve this feat in a country where graduates with attractive white collar jobs are struggling to pay their rent of N500,000 per annum? You can hear it all from the horses' mouths on thursday, 28th of march at Our Place. Strictly by invitation. IVs go for N2500 at the venue but I've 2 right now wink.

Wendy80: I had my LO 2days ago and no bossom milk yet, Can som1 pls suggest wht to take to make it flow.
Congrats on your new bundle of joy. I read through your post in the preg thread that you had you baby via cs. I also had my firstborn via cs and I had issues with producing milk at first, d boy cry ehn...grin. Probably it because you've not really started eating well, cos I was told to stay off food for a couple of days hence the poor flow.
The rate at which the milk flows is a gradual process; at first its not so much, but after continuous stimulation by your baby, it'll surely increase. So give it a little time and wait till you can eat well. In the meantime, you can give the baby water with a little glucose (I didn't like it too but had no choice sad) till your body can produce more and you can do EBF.
