Ermmm you're African ryt? No need to worry about ur baby's skin as long as its healthy with no rashes. The tend to change with time. You might be surprised to see his complexion get lighter again. Its been a roller coaster of complexions with my kid. He was light at birth, turned dark by 3 months, lighter by 7 months darker by his first bday. Now he's 2 and lighter than ever. Just do ur best to take care of his skin. Their complexion can be funny at times.

Good thing I found this thread. My son turned 2 in May and it worries M̶̲̅ε̲̣ his speech and expressiveness isn't on track with his peers. I've tried to stop comparing him with other tots, I just don't know what age to get worried and start involving professional help.
We've enrolled him in school, played educational dvds, I speak slowly to him in a singsong manner, but his speech devt is really slow. He doesn't even pronounce his name properly and its just 2 syllables
Just recently he improved, strated understanding basic things like come, bring ur shoes, cup and kiss ur sister
Another thing that worries M̶̲̅ε̲̣ is his temper. Whenever he can't express himself he throws nasty tantrums like throwing furniture, biting M̶̲̅ε̲̣ and hitting his head on the floor (this part worries M̶̲̅ε̲̣ most). Let M̶̲̅ε̲̣ not go on about potty training stress. The post will continus for miles if I start on that one.

Reminds M̶̲̅ε̲̣ of my husband's cousin and her french 'fiance'. They've been 'engaged' for about 5 years with no wedding in sight. dadd2: Not taking away anything from the boy, i think frank helped him out once on a maths question and he failed a question that was adjudged to be correct when he was asked the location of mexico he said it was in south America instead of North America though he used a lifeline to answer that question. Honestly, I'm not a kill joy but just want the programme organizer to take note of that error. Infact, i watched the programme with my two sons aged 8 and 10 years old respectively, they thought i goofed when i told them that Mexico is in North America. I had to get them a ball world map before i could convince them that Mexico is actually in North America.

Actually, mexico is in north America, but the question was ' on which side of d american border'. The answer is south of d border. Good thing the kid was smart enough to call his geography teacher. One of the best 'phone a friend' I've ever seen in d show.

So I asked what I can take in d meantime and he prescribed astymin. Its still early days, your wife can take folic acid for now. She can take calcium, but I don't think its compulsory as none formation hasn't started.

I kinda identify with her sha, I also maintained I wasn't going to have another baby till my boy was at least 2 and a half yrs. Lo and behold, I took in just a few weeks short of his first birthday. I was really embarrassed cos I wasn't working at the time and I was ready to go out and do something wen dis happened. I felt everyone around me was judging me as the lazy woman who couldn't go out and mk money, all she knows is to drop babies every year. Hubby didn't mind, he saw it as a blessing.

Well the baby is 4 months old and indeed a source of blessing to us as I started work 2 wks ago. Could have asked for a better timing for these to happen.

^^^ you're right.I think its about time the issue of surrogacy legalised. Even to adopt a baby sef is a long, nasty process. This is why these baby factories are flourishing. Some of them go as far as forcing these poor teenage girls to get pregnant. Hope they face the full wrath of d law.

Rate of infertility is so high these days it makes me wonder. What could it possibly be? Is it our lifestyle, technology or what It wasn't this bad 2 decades ago when I was growing up.
