The best we can do for ourselves this year is to try and stay alive. It is an individual responsibility now.

The government might not have done the best they should have done obviously but we can't continue sounding the gong of they have embezzled the fund.

All over the world upscaling testing is a priority but a difficult thing currently even when you have all the money in the world.

Releasing of this lockdown wouldn't have been a problem if the youths wouldn't go back home to infect the elderly and those with underlying health condition. This is just the fear. If it's just for the youth, herd immunity would be developed with little fatality. It would become a win win situation.

Self Isolation will not work in Nigeria and it has never worked.

Most times people don't listen to instructions or advice when given. You can imagine even before the whole shooting of our cases, people that camebk from Europe and some part of Asia were advised to stay at home for 2weeks but what happened??

Staying at home self isolating might not be an option now because of how most of the homes people stay in are. Most people stay with there families in almost the same room. At most 3bed room. This makes it difficult to self isolate.

However it would be nice if people that are asymptomatic but are positive stays at self isolate. Atleast this would help reduce the load on our health facilities but the Dynamics of our homes most times wouldn't allow that.

Moreover, save a lot of money. Things would be ugly till next year. If you have a wedding plan, pls go ahead and do it and save alot of money for yourself.

If you have access to cash, or a place to borrow look out for companies you can acquire especially in the Japan, US and European countries.

There some companies that manufacture basic things we use here that can be acquired for few cash, and start operations here in Nigeria.

Believe me, things would never remain the same after this pandemic. You must plan ahead of time.....

That person seeking a test right now is an unserious fellow. They are only testing those with symptoms such as fever, cough and body aches who may have been exposed to an infected person. There are very limited number of testing kits to go around, so yes of course screening is selective. Even in America and Europe, they are only testing people with symptoms, so why did your friend think he can just get tested like that?

Help me tell this my fellow Nigerians..

Why go to offices to get tested yourself. Is that the laid down rule?

Why wouldn't people do the right thing for once.

If you having symptoms u need to call and your samples would be taken.
Stay at home, don't move from Jabi to Gaduwa.

They wouldn't do the right thing and they will come here shouting foul.

Please kindly stay at home and observe yourself. Within your 14days if you show symptoms contact the relevant authority.

My story is quite different because I will appreciate my father as a man any day any time. I remember growing up in a one room boys quarter with my parents and two siblings. Life was so tough and we use to help mum sell bonce and puff puff. Dad was a taxi driver but we didn't really know what he was doing then because we were quite young.

One thing about my dad was that he was determined and I remember my sister entering secondary school in one public school but before I got to enter secondary school, dad had a job that started paying something a little nice. We moved from the boys quarter to a one bedroom house that erosion nearly carried us one night. He put me in a private secondary school and transferred my sister to same private secondary school. My younger brother later joined us and things were beginning to change a little.

My dad didn't depend on that job because he kept pushing for something better till he struck a jackpot. He got employed in one of the biggest oil companies in Nigeria and then boom, the whole story started changing.

He bought our first house, bought cars, spoilt us with money. We got practically everything we wanted in life. I entered university first year with my own ride. He bought all of us rides and messed us up with whatever we needed. We go overseas for holidays and I saw the difference between poverty and riches.

He bought houses and also built a befitting palace to suit his status, set all of us up after graduation and we are all doing fine. He is retired now and still enjoying his pension peaceful to the point that if we send him 100k each as a gift, he will be laughing at us that we don't have money and we are giving him chicken change lol.

Life without money is actually the real hell on earth. Heaven is right here on earth when you gat money.

I pray everyone makes it in life.

That young man made a very valid point... The agency which has the mandate to protect the lives of Nigerians(NCDC), the Ministry of health and other agencies have been making statements and managing the situation professionally..

Alot of public advisories have been sent out for the public to see and be informed.

You should be the one to read and think critically about wat he wrote, vaccines are not just produced without testing ... There are alot of scientific experimentation which is needed... The corona virus atleast needs to be isolated...
Antibody titration and all.. it needs laboratory equipments and all..
The scientists need those and even more for that to be possible...
