AskiaHarem: Is that Gaddafi on the background poster? Why? They provide protection for their President in overseas trips. In countries in War zones. That's Libya during the war. |

BlackBaron: Well, I hope a deal could be salvaged if everyone gets their acts together. Also guessing paucity of funds and so.
The Beryl is a damn good hardware with multiple accessory options. We need to have alternative sources of funding. The military cannot continue to depend on budgetary allocations. If this was the case Ezugwu MRAP APC would not have been a reality today. It seems NAF have dumped it. In favour of the AK-103.

nemesis8u: At this rate , they will have a navy which will destroy any nation except USA Russia and possibly France . Because these nations will go nuclear before that happens. They have a Navy that beats Russia, at least for surface ships already. They are by far better than France. If we take out the nuclear possibility, the Chinese have built a really impressive Navy. Also the speed of the build is impressive and remarkable. If they can build at this pace in peace, just imagine what they would do in war time. |

LagosWahala: So it's presently useless to us.
At least if it was operational in good numbers since 2018, by now the Army at least should have ceased issuing the Chinese and Romanian rifles.
Heck, those rifles along with OBJ006 should be recycled into metal parts for the Beryl's, whenever manufacture starts. The current DG of DICON is making considerable efforts in retooling and modernizing DICON, but we need to remember that company was left to rot by the previous government and up until time they never hard a smart DG, who thinks outside the box. The Beryl deal is dead as far as I know, but efforts are made in other areas. DICON-SUR is a considerable foreign direct investment, NAVMC now integrated into DICON is doing well with a good range of vehicles. |

LagosWahala: They did use the FN P90 and F2000 during YarAdua days.....then decided they were too finicky and didn't stop adequately.
So they went for IMI's Tavor and Galil, then Negev LMG finally.
IMI Jericho is their sidearm of choice.
If I'm correct, they operate all the personal weapons IMI makes. Man, you know your guns. Which one is Galil and Negev LMG? |

Stormtrooper11: Nigeria is gonna need a frontline fighter(jf 17)& an air superiority fighter.the j-10 is the perfect choice.the j-10 was cleared last year november The J-10 is a multi-role fighter, exact same thing as the JF-17. So what capability does the J-10C bring that is not already present in the JF-17? The J-10C has not been cleared for exports. |

Stormtrooper11: Learnt nigeria is interested in the migs(might be mig 35).wouldn't it be more appropriate to get the chinese j-10c?considering the chinese deliver hardwares within a short period of time and the j-10c would fit our long-term requirements. Why would Nigeria get the J-10c or MIG-35 when we are buying JF-17? P.s the J-10c has not been cleared for exports. |
