tdayof: I have seen the video of the JF17 escorting the Chinese President.
At your caption I haven't seen pictures of PK officials at the official launching of jf17s. The JF-17 is a joint project between the Chinese and Pakistanis, but definitely not on the technical side. Pakistan only assembles the FC-1 in Pakistan. |

Sizzorkay: Media outlets all over the world put photos of soldiers that died in combat in the news to honor them. What's your idea? That a hero died for his country but we shouldn't know his face or name? Is that how you appreciate their effort and sacrifice? Now the picture i saw was not of his corpse, but while he was alive, so what's' wrong with that? Do you have any idea how many pictures of US soldiers media outlets like CNN showed daily during the thick of the Iraq war? If that's okay, why is this wrong? Instead of pretending these soldiers aren't dead, we need to know they are, that shouldn't be a secret, it allows the general population to appreciate them more and honor them, not less. I don't deny that Sir. However, before those announcements are made, the families of the dead soldiers are pre-informed and permission to post is given. I only think it is fair to respect the privacy of the families of these dead soldiers. It is the human thing to do. Bidexiii, sharing that picture is simply not proper. |

Right ? I don't deny that. However as you can see from that post, he insulted me first? Or am i wrong to defend myself? |

Right ? Again, that's not the issue here. I am asked a straight forward question, is it right to post the pictures of a dead Nigerian soldier online? |

Xbee007: And I noticed how Bide has been ignoring him. But this need to stop. The other day he was insulting someone's mother. Africaken no do reach that level before his account was deleted. Tackle the issue. Don't run away like a coward. Is it proper to post the pictures of a dead Nigerian soldier? |

jakeporeshenko: The guy has been blasting bidexiii for days now. Xbee007: Guy you be sadist! Nothing good ever come out of that your stupif mouth. I have just seen most of your comments on NL, nothing positive so far. Is it okay to post the pictures of a dead Nigerian soldier in an anonymous forum? Is it because an individual wants likes, does he have the express permission of the soldiers family members to post that picture in this forum? |

nemesis2u: unfortunately yes
do u know CIA has SIGINT station inside china to snoop on russia
every submarine cable around the world is tapped , they have a specialized submarine for that That's crazy. US capacity to do serious damage is really under-estimated. Isn't SIGNIT an area the Russians are also very good at? |

nemesis2u: CIA can compromise almost every bodies comms without much trouble , so ur fears r unfounded with respect to tucano only risk i see is sanctions
they have a entire division with futuristic tech for conducting off the air ELINT , COMINT , SIGINT , ESM activities without anybody being wiser.
one example is their ELINT satellites in LEO orbits You are saying in essence is, the rest of the world is bleeped and at the mercy of the CIA as regards Intel? |

rka2: It includes hangers, aviation equipment/infrastructure, maintenance apart from training and ammunition, which would include precision guided ammo.
This is hat comes with operating a 4th the generation aircraft. Even in the West, upgrades are being done to aviation infracture at no small cost to introduce 5th generation combat aircraft. I wonder why this is so difficult to understand. |

jln115: Ours did it was part of Saab's maintenance contract....I have posted the details with regards to the contract on this thread multiple times. It is our money, how we choose to spend it is completely our problem. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by kabe1: 7:11am On Aug 04, 2017 |
jln115: Dude we paid just a ball hair under R60 mil a pop for our Gripen, the price also included training, weapons and Saab's maintenance contract which includes not just regular spares and maintenance but also all upgrades when they are made available!!
R600 mil for 12 single engine prop aircraft is ridiculous!! It is a very good deal. We are talking life cycle cost including infrastructure. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by kabe1: 6:40am On Aug 04, 2017 |
jln115: Yes and?? Our Gripen cost R60 mil a unit, which included training, weapons, maintenance and all future upgrades as they come available! No, it's not. The cost of your Gripens do not include upgrades. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by kabe1: 11:17pm On Aug 03, 2017 |
jln115: $600 mil for 12 Tucanos...... absolutely ridiculous!!!
For $600 mil you can get: 10-12 Gripen C
14-18 SU30mkm
20-25 JF-17
Let that sink in!! "The department notified the US Congress, which has 30 days to approve the deal, of the $593 million foreign military sale on 2 August. The package includes the aircraft, weapons, training, spare parts and facilities to support the programme, according to a 3 August announced by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency." https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/us-approves-a-29-sale-to-nigeria-despite-concerns-439980/ |
