tdayof: His question wasn't dumb. They have SU-35, SU-33, SU-30,SU-27, SU-24, SU-25 ETC deployed there so of what use is their latest fighter over there if not for something more political than militarily? Combat testing and evaluation of aircraft systems in a real life combat environment. How dumb could you people be? |

tdayof: USAAFAFRICA operates as the air component for AFRICOM.
They've got aircrafts in Djibouti, Turkey, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal.
They can easily perform an offensive on the request of the DHQ as these guys are always on the move flying sorties. Nemesis, could you explain why the SU-35s is so advanced? What does it actually bring to the table that other 4++ jets don't have?

lionel4power: Now you are talking like an adult without insults isn't it better?
First when we heard the deal, I and a few other Nigerians criticized it vehemently. We questioned the rationale behind the exorbitant price. (I can go back the THREAD and screen shot it for you if you want.)
Meanwhile other Nigerians insulted me and called me all sorts of Names... Unpatriotic, low self esteem, double agent e.t.c. They defended the deal they said it was the best deal in the world. Someone even wrote an epistle of how the Tucano would come with PGMs that is unheard off anywhere in Africa and why it would be better than the mokopa. I was forced to keep quiet for 'superior argument' to prevail.....
It's all there go and check and confirm.
The problem is we Nigerians don't even know what we want, today we say this tomorrow another thing.. Contradictory statements all the time. I can name a few people who supported the deal at that time but are now saying something else now.
If the FG announce that they are considering a platform we will first come here and praise that platform to sky heaven, then before you know it someone would start comparing it with the South Africans, it always end in comparison. At the end we won't get it. Then next would be the blame game.
Don't follow others along that path bros, try to reason objectively. Was the detail of the deal not provided at the time? Did you not see it's weapons package, training and cost of aircraft? "Why is there a sudden change in opinion by most Nigerians?".............. It is primarily because of the pre-conditions set by the US government. Can you name the Nigerians who have backed out for any other reason apart from the political conditions attached to it? My friend, run along to your poorly, fantasy filled blog. |

An attack, taking and posting photos prior, on or after a military attack is considered sensitive information you hopeless fool. You don't need me to tell you that. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by kabe1: 7:29pm On Jan 19, 2018 |

jakeporeshenko: Unlike the JF-17, Alpha jets and the F-7s don’t have targeting pods and precision munitions.
Don’t be unfortunate in 2018 Don't be ridiculous. The A-29 and MI-35m come with dedicated ISR pods and incredible loiter time. Does the JF-17 come with a dedicated pod? Can you provide evidence to support Nigeria purchased JF-17s with targeting pods? Don't be unfortunate in 2018, apply some common sense. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by kabe1: 10:07pm On Jan 15, 2018 |
bidexiii: I just finished watching the video.
Can you imagine these barstards spying on ground troops not more than 50metres and also estimating the ground troop size and position.
They would av called for reinforcement and flanked them from different directions.
Honestly we really need the jf17. Now if we can't pick up such cheap fighter jet off the shelf ...? Then I wonder what type of 4th gen jet we are buying. Dude, are you sure you are okay at all? You claimed to have watched the video, please what did you actually watch there, or were you watching the video through the back of your cheap Chinese phone? There clearly were fast jets in the area, an Alpha Jet and an F-7, what extra benefit will another fast jet provide in such a scenario? Damn you're such a dullard! What is required there is a CAS aircraft with a good loiter time. That's an attack helicopter or a Super Tucano type aircraft, not a fast jet olodo! |
