Lurker4Long: CaptainStephen, or anyone else who knows. Not speculate but knows. When the NA unveiled the bike squad, they had proper off-road bikes. All the pics I'm seeing lately seem to be commercial bikes not suited for off-road. What gives? PIC1: Off-road COIN bikes at unveil; PIC2: typical pics accompanying bike squad stories. Costs and availability, if commercial vehicles can do the job, and are more widely available, why not use them. If commercial motorcycles are incapable of doing the job, they won't be used. |

Nemesis4you: On the contrary from what i know it is released publically
Obviously not everything is spelled out , hence there are public, restricted , classified versions
Some countries might choose not to release anything to public , but many do Really, I didn't know that. It doesn't seem like a document that should be publicly available or explained in a few sentences. |

NTSA: The kdf uses the maneuver warfare concept (attrition through maneuver) as the main operational doctrine however it further categorizes doctrine into joint, operational, and tactical. It argues that the highest and purest application of the maneuver approach is to pre-empt the enemy, that is, to disarm or neutralize the enemy before the actual fight rather than destroying the enemy by mass by attrition...but I cannot say that it is a distinctly Kenya Army doctrine.....we are still updating /developing our doctrine through the various operational experiences we are getting exposed to. No offense, but no army's fighting doctrine is available for public consumption or available on the internet. That's a classified document. Training, Doctrine and Policy are not for public consumption. |

NTSA: What is Nigerias army doctrine if I may ask? This is a weird question. How does someone know a country's army doctrine? That's a policy document that sets how an army fights, how do you think that's going to be a public document? See brief information on Nigerian army TRADOC. https://army.mil.ng/?page_id=504 |

CAS IN MAIDUGURI, PRAISES EFFORTS OF FRONTLINE TROOPS
The Chief of the Air Staff(CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, was in Maiduguri, Borno State earlier today to assess the progress of the joint operation and commend the efforts of frontline troops. Air Marshal Amao specifically praised the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Chris Musa for his leadership at the frontline which has led to the excellent level of cooperation and synergy among all security agencies operating in the Theatre as well as to the high level successes being recorded daily. According to him, "The Chief of Defence Staff and the Service Chiefs are very proud of what you have all been able to achieve and because of your efforts, members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and indeed all Nigerians have every right to be proud." The CAS then stated that he was in Maiduguri to assess the progress of operations being undertaken and to encourage them not to relent but to continue to sustain the fire power against all enemies of the state. He also charged them to maintain the tempo and continue to seize the initiative.
Responding, Major General Chris Musa informed the CAS that due to the increased level of joint operations, several terrorists as well as their key leaders have been eliminated while over 10,000 other terrorists and their families have surrendered in the last 3 months. He also thanked the CAS for his support to the Air Component who, according to him, has been the secret behind the numerous successes recorded.
Air Marshal Amao, who was accompanied by some Branch Chiefs from NAF Headquarters, has since recovered back to Abuja.
