Odunayaw: Speedy construction or its just me? Very speedy construction. To be expected when the builder(Damen) has more than 100 years experience building capital ships. |

As far as I can remember , one needs to careful bec the tuberous roots of certain varities of it causes itchy sensation in throat when eaten
Didn't know it is eaten elsewhere also We are not so different after all. It used to be widely eaten in Nigeria in the early from the early 2000's and downwards, nowadays, not so much. |

Xbee007: This Twitter post along with the image reminds me of a joker on this thread.
I am very wary of these self-proclaimmed "intelligence" folks. 99.9999% of them are liars and embellish stories to suit their taste. There's too much fake news and propaganda from pro-government and anti-government handles in Nigeria. |

SuperSixSeven: My bet is on the Shaldag V - but of course i would be happy for the NN if they introduce Sa'ar 72 Corvettes. We've switched to Ocea a long time ago. I don't see that happening. Also considering we recently got 4 x Aresa boats. I think it's a more significant purchase. |

Could this visit be further evidence of that purchase?

Lurker4Long: Minor correction: the guys in the pic below are not SF; they're from 1 Tactical Intelligence Regiment. They conduct battlefield surveillance using ground radars and tactical drones to report on enemy movement and disposition. Because they're forward deployed and sometimes behind enemy lines, they're also used as observers to call in artillery on enemy positions and targets of opportunity. Ok, cool. The thing is, the roles they perform are special forces roles. Going by your description. |
