People Need To Avoid Mosquitoes for the following reasons : Mosquitoes are small but very deadly– Medical scientists want people to avoid their bites– 1.5 million people die globally from diseases caused by mosquitoesThe mention of mosquitoes simply evokes a mind picture of malaria, a fever that is most common in Nigeria and other developing countries. But beyond this picture, many diseases, some deadly, others minor, are transmitted by the small, midge-like insect which most people are ignorant of. The US Centre for disease control is reported to have reported that every year more than 1.5 million people around the world die from diseases spread by mosquitoes. Here are some of such deadly diseases: 1.Elephantiasis. This disease is caused by mosquitoes infected by the parasitic worm, Wuchereria bancrofti, which carries filariasis, a tropical infection. Doctors say this worm blocks the lymphatic system causing swelling in any part of the body including the legs, hands. Scrotum or the labia of the vagina. The affected part of the body swells and appears large and puffy. The disease is believed to be common in South America, Cuba, Puerto Rico, West Indies, Africa, Spain, Turkey, Asia, Australia, and many South Pacific Islands. There is no effective treatment for the disease which could take a long time to manifest after infection. Medical analysis show that an estimated 100 million people are affected worldwide. The only solution is to avoid mosquitoes. 2.Dengue Fever: This is described as one of the most dangerous and diseases that is caused by mosquitoes and is reportedly common among the people living in tropical and sub-tropical climates. The diseases is transmitted by the aedes mosquito. Medical scientists say after infection, the diseases causes high fever, headache, joint pain and rashes as the initial symptoms. Many liken this to malaria, but it is not. Though there are recommendations, it is believed that there is no certain medications and treatments available to treat the disease.3.Yellow Fever. This is very common in Africa and South America and reportedly caused by aedes mosquitoes that cause dengue fever. It takes an infected person about seven days for the virus to start manifesting through severe headache, nausea and severe fever. Apart from vaccination, no treatment method or cure has been effectively invented for this ailment. 4.Chikungunya: This deadly disease is caused by the aedes mosquitoes with joint pain, headache, vomiting, back pain and skin rashes as the most common symptoms. The disease, according to medical reports, is manageable with drugs like ibuprofen, naproxen and paracetamol, but they must be used with prescription.5.Western equine encephalitis. Western equine encephalitis (WEE) was discovered in 1930 in Canada and Mexico, according to medical researchers. They also say it is caused by culex mosquitoes with more than one thousand reported deaths yearly. Though the disease is common in human beings and horses, vaccines have been invented to treat it. 6.La crosse encephalitis: This viral disease is transmitted by the Tree Hole mosquito and more serious in children. 7.Japanese encephalitis: This deadly disease affects the brain and is said to be common in Asia, New Guinea and North Queensland with symptoms of high temperature, convulsion, coma and severe headache. It can be cured with the use of vaccines. 8.West Nile virus: It is Caused by culex mosquitoes, the disease is mostly found in animals and birds, but could also be found in human cells spreading through saliva and breast-feeding from mother to the children. It can damage the brain tissues and sometimes lead to convulsions, coma and even death. 9.Rift valley : It is very common in the individuals who live with animals like cattle, buffaloes, sheep, cow and goats. There have been outbreaks in West Africa, Saudi Arab and parts of Asia. 10.Malaria: A baby suffering from malaria. This is caused by the female anopheles mosquitoes the disease can migrates to the liver and prevent it from functioning well. Its symptoms include fever, chills, sweating, headaches and severe-flu. 11.Dog Heartworm: This is believed to be a very dangerous disease caused by roundworms and mosquitoes. Medical researchers explain that the bite of the mosquitoes containing the larvae of this roundworm is the actual reason for the spread of the disease. The disease is one reason to avoid keeping pets like dogs, cats and parrots at home because such mosquitoes depend on animals for food. 12.Murray valley encephalitis: This deadly disease caused by mosquito and causes brain tissue damage. Statistics show that Australia has the highest rate of murray valley encephalitis victims. Symptoms of this disease are hidden but come as headache, neck stiffness, seizure and drowsiness. Patients should rush to the hospital when these signs show. 13. Zika virus disease: This disease is spread primarily through the bite of an infected aedesspecies mosquito and through sex with an infected person. The most common symptoms of Zika are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). According to analysts, the illness is usually mild and the symptoms last for up to a week after infection. Because people rarely die from the disease, they rarely go to the hospital and are most times ignorant of it. The disease, first discovered in Uganda in 1947, causes children to be born with defects called microcephaly, as well as serious fetalbrain defects. The disease is currently ravaging Brazil. Kaduna State government has declared a state of emergency on tomato following anattack of tomato blight that has wiped out about 80percent of tomato farms in the state. The Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry in the state, Dr. Manzo Daniel, disclosed this during a press briefing to mark the administration's one year in office. DailyTrust learnt that the cost of a basket of tomato has risen to about N42,000 in Kaduna."The tomato blight is caused by an insect called the leafminer, scientifically called tuta absoluta. What it does is to eat up the tomato leaves and the soft parts. Unfortunately for us, this infestation occurred last year on a smaller scale but it was not documented. And when we came in, we didn't know about it until it hit us hard," "A team of officials have been dispatched to Kenya to seek intervention. We have it on authority that there is an extract of a plant that is effective against the developing stages of the moth. Unfortunately, the adults are not susceptible to any chemical, if you spray them, within three hours, they develop resistance. It is a serious issue and we have had to declare a state of emergency on the commodity. To underscore the seriousness of the infestation, the Dangote Tomato factory in Kano has shut down due to lack of raw materials," he lamented. According to him, survey is ongoing, as over 200 farmers have been identified in three local government areas of the state with loses to the tune of N1billion. "We expect our partners from Kenya to move in quickly and we are developing intervention strategy for immediate, short and long term," he said, adding that about eight other states in the northern region are affected by the disease. "YARO BARI MURNA KARENKA YA KAMA KURA!"... loosely translated as..., Ol boy stop jubilating for your Dog met its warterloo, by hunting down a Lion! To those ignorant and drunken Niger Delta militants aka Avengers, and their supporters, sponsors and sympathisers, know that the few steps backward usually taken by a Ram during a fight, is not out of cowardice. It is a Strategy to gather momentum for a killer head butt or kick. You attacked and killed Nigerian Soldiers who are under orders to exercise maximum restrain, and you and your ignorant supporters are all over jubilating. How many are you? For how long can you sustain the fight? Can't you take lesson from BH? Who are being decapitated by hunger at rate not even the bombs and bullets could worked? You boast about terrain mastery...the creeks!.Wetin concern monkey with bridge? I pity you should a full blown battle is unleashed to secure the oil facilities and the law abiding citizens. And to you so called Human Rights activists from obodo Oyibo and here at home, my question to you before the possible full military Ops against the destroyers,Are the rest law abiding citizens Animals and therefore alienated from enjoying Human Rights?Or the wanton destruction of Property and Human lives being perpetrated by the militants does not cornstitute an infringement against the rest citizens who opt to live in peace? Give answers to these questions before you begin to describe the likely military option with the jargons such as Abuse of Human Rights. Because every live has loving Mother. And no death is not to be mourned. |

Mysteries & mirages of the Chibokgirls. The 280 names and pictures of the said April 2014 abducted Chibok(School)girls was made public not by the school in Chibok, not by the state Ministry of Education, not by the WAEC board, not by Government at any level, not by Security agencies, not by the Military, but by#ArrestAyo-led ChristianAssociation of Nigeria (CAN), they made public of 15 Muslim girls and 265 Christian girls. Public outcry was so huge That it reaches all corners of the globe that attracted celebrities to joined the call to rescue the girls, but nobody care to asked how did CAN get hold of the names ? On 4 May 2014, CAN made demands for the Federal government to rescue "our girls", to pay conpensation of fity million Naira (#50million) and foreign scholarship for each of the said abducted Chibok girls, there and then campaign for rescuing the girls intensified with hashtag "#BringBackOurGirls" as the symbol, but nobody care to asked CAN if it was the "BokoHaram" (abductors) that gave it the list of the Chibokgirls. Up to date, there is no official bio data of the said abducted Chibok(school)girls from neither the school, the ministry, the WAEC nor the state (Borno)or the Federal Government. The Public was made to believed that the names and pictures made public by CAN are the official list of the said abducted girls, did government at any time confirmed the abduction of Chibok(School)girls ? If the answer to the above is yes then we demand explanation from WAEC, FME, and state government. And for CAN to be exonerated the explanation must tally with that given by CAN. If the explanation disagrees with the one given by Oritsejafor then CAN and Ayo must be prosecuted. From my understanding, that's why PMB's administration is sceptical in what ever that borders around the abducted girls. PMB is most concerned about restoration of peace in the Boko Haram ravaged area of the North East. God bless PMB God bless Nigeria and Nigerians. Kagarko ©©© |
May Almighty make it easy for the rest of the girls to be rescued. God bless PMB God bless Nigeria and Nigerians |

May God help us. This man is BUHARIPHOBIC hence the negative statement against PMB. With due respect Yaa Sheikh PMB needs to be given the opportunity and the benefits of the doubt. That will not save him from the case. Better face your case and leave God out of this as He will never listen to corrupt elements. Better do the needful and resign before it is too late for you. |
Point of correction! If you are not educated you can't be an Imam or Islamic leader. May be it's possible elsewhere but not in Islam. Anyway the scenario is really a paradoxical. God bless Nigeria and Nigerians |
