Khadijah or Khadīja bint Khuwaylid ( Arabic : ﺧﺪﻳﺠﺔ ﺑﻨﺖ ﺧﻮﻳﻠﺪ ) or Khadīja al-Kubra ( Khadija the Great) [1] (c. 555 or 567 – 620 CE) was the first wife of the Islamic prophet Muhammad . She is commonly regarded by Muslims as the "Mother of the Believers" (i.e., Muslims), and was the first person to convert to Islam. Biography Khadija's grandfather, Asad ibn Abd-al-Uzza , was the progenitor [clarification needed ] of the Asad clan[2] of the Quraysh tribe in Mecca . Her father, Khuwaylid ibn Asad , was a merchant. [2] According to some traditions, he died c. 585, but according to others, he was still alive when Khadija married Muhammad in 595. [3][4] His sister, Umm Habib bint Asad, was the matrilineal great-grandmother of Muhammad. [5] Khadija's mother, Fatima bint Za'idah, who died around 575, [ citation needed ] was a member of the Amir ibn Luayy clan of the Quraysh [6] and a third cousin of Muhammad's mother. [7][8] Khadija married three times and had children from all her marriages. While the order of her marriages is debated, it is generally believed that she first married Abu Hala Malak ibn Nabash ibn Zarrara ibn at-Tamimi and second 'Atiq ibn 'A'idh ibn 'Abdullah Al-Makhzumi. [9] To her first husband she bore two sons, who were both given what were usually feminine names, [10] Hala and Hind. He died before his business became a success. [11] To husband Atiq, Khadija bore a daughter named Hindah. This marriage also left Khadija as a widow. [12] Khadija became a very successful merchant. It is said that when the Quraysh's trade caravans gathered to embark upon their summer journey to Syria or winter journey to Yemen , Khadija's caravan equalled the caravans of all other traders of the Quraysh put together. [13] She was known by the by- names Ameerat-Quraysh ("Princess of Quraysh", al-Tahira ("The Pure One" and Khadija Al-Kubra (Khadija "the Great". [14] It is said that she fed and clothed the poor, assisted her relatives financially and provided marriage portions for poor relations. [14] Khadija was said to have neither believed in nor worshipped idols ,[ citation needed ] which was atypical for pre-Islamic Arabian culture. According to other sources, however, she kept an idol of Al-‘Uzzá in her house. [15] Khadija did not travel with her trade caravans; she employed others to trade on her behalf for a commission. In 595 Khadija needed an agent for a transaction in Syria. Abu Talib ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib recommended her distant cousin Muhammad ibn Abdullah. The experience that Muhammad held working with caravans in his uncle Abu Talib's family business had earned him the honorific titles Al-Sadiq ("the Truthful" and Al-Amin ("the Trustworthy" or "Honest". [16] Khadija hired Muhammad, who was then 25 years old, sending word through her kinsman Khazimah ibn Hakim[ citation needed ] that she would pay double her usual commission. [17] She sent one of her servants, Maysarah, to assist him. Upon returning, Maysarah gave accounts of the honorable way that Muhammad had conducted his business, with the result that he brought back twice as much profit as Khadija had expected. Maysarah also relayed that on the return journey, Muhammad had stopped to rest under a tree. A passing monk, Nestora, informed Maysarah that, "None but a prophet ever sat beneath this tree." [18] Maysarah also claimed that while he stood near Muhammad as he slept, he had seen two angels standing above Muhammad creating a cloud to protect him from the heat and glare of the sun. [11] Khadija then consulted her cousin Waraqah ibn Nawfal ibn Asad ibn 'Abdu'l-'Uzza. [18] Waraqah said that if what Maysarah had seen was true, then Muhammad was in fact the prophet of the people who was already expected. It is also said Khadijah had a dream in which the sun descended from the sky into her courtyard, fully illuminating her home. [11] Her cousin Waraqah told her not to be alarmed, for the sun was an indication that the Prophet would grace her home. [11] At this, Khadija considered proposing marriage to her agent. [19] Many wealthy Quraysh men had already asked for her hand in marriage, [11] but all had been refused. [20] Marriage to Muhammad Khadija entrusted a friend named Nafisa to approach Muhammad and ask if he would consider marrying. [21] At first Muhammad was hesitant because he had no money to support a wife. Nafisa then asked if he would consider marriage to a woman who had the means to provide for herself. [22] Muhammad agreed to meet with Khadija, and after this meeting they consulted their respective uncles. The uncles agreed to the marriage, and Muhammad's uncles accompanied him to make a formal proposal to Khadija. [18] It is disputed whether it was only Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib or only Abu Talib or both who accompanied Muhammad on this errand. [12] Khadija's uncle accepted the proposal, and the marriage took place. Muhammad and Khadija were married monogamously for twenty-five years. This monogamous marriage contrasts with Muhammad's later practice of polygyny after Khadija's death. Muhammad's youngest wife, Aisha , was to be jealous of the affection and loyalty that Muhammad maintained for Khadija even after her death. [23] Children Muhammad and Khadija had six children. [11] (Sources disagree about number of children; Al-Tabari names eight, but most sources only identify six). [9] Their first son was Qasim, who died before his second birthday [24] (hence Muhammad's kunya Abu Qasim). Khadija then gave birth to their daughters Zaynab, Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum and Fatima; and lastly to their son Abd-Allah . Abd-Allah was known as at-Tayyib ("the Good" and at-Tahir ("the Pure" because he was born after Muhammad declared himself a prophet. Abdullah also died in childhood. [11] Two other children also lived in Khadija's household. One was Ali ibn Abi Talib , the son of Muhammad's uncle, whom Muhammad raised as his own when Abu Talib was under financial hardship. [12] The second was Zayd ibn Harithah , a boy from the Udhra tribe who had been kidnapped and sold into slavery. Zayd was a slave in Khadija's household for several years, until his father came to Mecca to bring him home. Muhammad said Zayd should be given a choice about where he lived. Zayd decided to remain with Khadija and Muhammad, after which Muhammad legally adopted Zayd as his own son. [12] Becoming the first Muslim A medal of Khadija seen in Promptuarii iconum insigniorum According to the traditional Sunni narrative, when Muhammad reported his first revelation from the Angel Gabriel ( Jibril), Khadija was the first person to convert to Islam . [25] After his experience in the cave of Hira , Muhammad returned home to Khadija in a state of terror, pleading for her to cover him with a blanket. After calming down, he described the encounter to Khadija, who comforted him with the words: "Allah would surely protect him from any danger, and would never allow anyone to revile him as he was a man of peace and reconciliation and always extended the hand of friendship to all." [11] According to some sources, it was Khadijh's cousin, Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who confirmed Muhammad's prophethood soon afterwards. [26] Yahya ibn `Afeef is quoted saying that he once came, during the period of Jahiliyyah (before the advent of Islam), to Mecca to be hosted by 'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib , one of Muhammad's uncles mentioned above. "When the sun started rising", he said, "I saw a man who came out of a place not far from us, faced the Kaaba and started performing his prayers. He hardly started before being joined by a young boy who stood on his right side, then by a woman who stood behind them. When he bowed down, the young boy and the woman bowed, and when he stood up straight, they, too, did likewise. When he prostrated, they, too, prostrated." He expressed his amazement at that, saying to Abbas: "This is quite strange, O Abbas!" "Is it, really?" retorted al-Abbas. "Do you know who he is?" Abbas asked his guest who answered in the negative. "He is Muhammad ibn Abdullah, my nephew. Do you know who the young boy is?" asked he again. "No, indeed," answered the guest. "He is Ali son of Abu Talib. Do you know who the woman is?" The answer came again in the negative, to which Abbas said, "She is Khadija bint Khuwaylid, my nephew's wife." This incident is included in the books of both Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Al-Tirmidhi , each detailing it in his own Ṣaḥīḥ . Khadija was supportive of Muhammad's prophetic mission, always helping in his work, proclaiming his message and belittling any opposition to his prophecies. [25] It was her encouragement that helped Muhammad believe in his mission and spread Islam. [27] Khadija also invested her wealth in the mission. When the polytheists and aristocrats of the Quraysh harassed the Muslims, she used her money to ransom Muslim slaves and feed the Muslim community. [28][29] In 616 the Quraysh declared a trade boycott against the Hashim clan. They attacked, imprisoned and beat the Muslims, who sometimes went for days without food or drink. [30] Some died and others became ill. [citation needed ] Khadija continued to maintain the community until the boycott was lifted in late 619 or early 620. [12]

Muhammad later called this tenth year "the Year of Sorrow ", as his uncle and protector Abu Talib also died at this time. [32] Khadija is said to have been about sixty-five years old at the time of her death. [33] She was buried in Jannat al-Mu'alla cemetery, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia . [34] In the years immediately following Khadija's death, Muhammad faced persecution from opponents of his message and also from some who originally followed him but had now turned back. Hostile tribes ridiculed and stoned him. [35] Relatives Sons Abdullah ibn Atiq, [36] probably died in infancy. Hala ibn Abi Hala, probably died before 610. [37] Hind ibn Abi Hala, died after 656. [38] Qasim ibn Muhammad , died in 605 CE, before his second birthday Abd-Allah ibn Muhammad , died in childhood in 615 CE Daughters Zaynab Ruqayyah Umm Kulthum Fatima (605–632), although it is sometimes asserted that she was born during the first year of Muhammad's mission (610–611). She had the by-name "The mother of her father", as she took over caring for her father and being a support to her father once her mother died. [39] She married Ali, who became the fourth Caliph in 656. (According to early debate after the death of Muhammad, some would argue that Ali would be the proper succession to Muhammad.) [40] Ali and Fatimah moved to a small village in Ghoba after the marriage, but later moved back to Medina to live next door to Muhammad. [41] Muhammad forbade Ali to take additional wives because, "What caused pain to his daughter grieved him as well." [42] Fatima died a few months after her father died. All of Muhammad's surviving descendants are by Fatima's children. Muhammad loved her two sons Hasan and Husayn, who would continue his heritage. [42] Sunni Muslims believe that all four of Khadija's daughters were born to Muhammad. [citation needed ] They interpret the following verse as supporting such a view: "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers...." Abu'l-Qasim al-Kufi writes: 1. Hind bint Atiq. She married her paternal cousin, Sayfi ibn Umayya, and they had one son, Muhammad ibn Sayfi. [37][46] 2. Zaynab bint Abi Hala, who probably died in infancy. [36] The adopted daughters attributed to Muhammad are: 1. Zaynab (c.598–629). Although it is now two years, the
corrupt Nigerian Police Force in
connivance with the political
authorities in Abuja and Kano has deliberately
refused to release even the preliminary report
about who actually plotted the politically
motivated assassination of one of Nigerian’s
foremost and respected Islamic Scholar, late
Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmud Adam. The Islamic
scholar was murdered while leading the Subhi
prayers in his Kano residential Mosque on Friday
April 13, 2007. We can authoritatively reveal
that the former administration of Chief Olusegun
Obasanjo under the then Inspector General of
Police Mr. Sunday Ehindero, the Kano State
Emirate Council under His Royal Highness Alhaji
Ado Bayero and indeed the Kano State
Government knows why Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmud
Adam was assassinated in cold-blood and
indeed the sponsor of this dastardly
assassination.
We can confirm from the overwhelming
evidence gathered during the period under
review that the Kano State Governor, Mallam
Ibrahim Shekarau, who is supposedly an
advocate of the Sharia implementation through
an expensive programme called A Daidaita Sahu
and the creation of the Hisbah group through
which billions of naira in Kano State wealth was
wasted and siphoned, was the one that plotted
and sponsored the cold-blooded assassination
of the late Islamic Cleric. It has become clear
that prior to the April 2007 gubernatorial
election which saw Governor Shekarau in a
desperate and frantic effort to return as
governor for the second time by all means, the
late Sheikh Ja’afar had become one of the most
visible threat capable of making it impossible for
Mallam Shekaru to get re-elected. Considering
the late cleric’s large followership, his authority
and the influence he commands in Kano State
and beyond, Shekarau realized that his
disagreement with Sheikh Ja’afar may cause
him his ambition to rule Kano State beyond
2007 and therefore the need to plot a
permanent solution against the cleric became
inevitable. That was how the plot to eliminate
Sheikh Ja’afar from the face of the earth was
conceived, orchestrated and executed.
The unprecedented orgy of murderous rampage
at both Panshekara, the headquaters of Federal
Road Safety Commission as well as in Sharada
Police Station where innocent souls were
mercilessly murdered few days before the brutal
assassination of Sheikh Ja’afar were organised
to cover the plan of his assasination and to
eventually justify that his murder was not
politically motivated and that it was perpetrated
by rival Islamic sect.
Unfortunately for the Shekarau government,
there was no evidence even after the
assassination to suggest or to agree with the
police and the Kano State Governemnt that the
attack was carried out by an unknown rival
Islamic Sect. The sophistication of the assasins
and the automatic AK47 they used against
Sheikh Ja’afar clearly shows that they were paid
to kill the Islamic Scholar. And if the attack was
perpetrated by a rival Islamic sect as the
authorities insinuate and fabricated, all the
faithfulls in the mosque would have been killed.
But their target was only Sheikh Ja’afar and as
soon as they were satisfied that he did not
survive the multiple gun shots, they left the
scene.
Misunderstanding between Mallam Ibrahim
Shekarau and late Sheikh Ja’afar became sour
when the late Scholar realised that Governor
Shekarau was not sincere about the
implementation of Shariah and that he uses the
Hisba Board as a conduit pipe thereby making
nonsense of the Islamic legal system. The
irreconcilable disagreement forced Sheikh
Ja’afar to resign his appointment as a member
of the Hisbah Board and since then, he became
a consistent critic of Shekarau’s unislamic
conduct and mismanagement of the public
resources by accusing him of using Islam to
deceive and mislead the people. It has not,
ofcourse, gone down well with Shekarau who
began to look for several options of dealing with
Sheikh Ja'afar. Attempts to make him
compromise through inducement had also
failed.
What probably caused Jafar his life was his
decision and threat at the peakk of the election
season to expose the massive financial scam
carried out through the Hisbah by Mallam
Shekarau. The late scholar had also accused
eminent clerics of benefitting so much against
Islam and the masses and threatened to expose
the huge scam. That was what caused him his
life because Govenror Shekarau knew that the
late cleric as a former privileged member of the
Hisbah board was in possession of damaging
dossiers and he was fully convinced that Sheikh
Ja’afar had the moral credibility to convince and
change the opinion of the people of Kano
against him. Having tried him several times,
Shekarau also knew that Sheikh Ja’afar was not
the kind of cleric that can be compromised with
financial inducement. That was how the
decision to eliminate him was taken. Mallam
Shekarau had tried unsuccessfully to induce
Sheikh Ja’afar like he has done to other Islamic
clerics but couldn't get him. Even the hitherto
vocal chairman of the Supreme Council for
Sharia Dr. Datti Ahmed was bribed and
compromised by Shekarau when the former
insisted on exposing the killers of the cleric.
Since then, Dr. Datti remained quiet and
abandoned the struggle.
In fact, among all the national dailies in Nigeria
particularly the northern based ones, only the
Desert Herald newspaper that was bold enough
to criticize the Kano State Governor and the
Nigerian Police Force regarding the assasiantion
of late Sheikh Ja’afar. The recent edition of
Desert Herald which were cleverly indirect
because of the dictatorial and murderous
tendencies of the government, shows clearly the
people that were responsible for the murder of
Sheikh Ja’afar. Nigeria is the only country
where leaders will commit all kinds of crimes
openly yet the people will be afraid to say the
truth because of fear or greed. As clearly
demonstrated in the confessional statement
below, the contract for the assassination of
Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmud Adam was awarded to
one Alhaji Abba Gana by Governor Ibrahim
Shekarau at the cost of one hundred million
naira. It was Alhaji Abba Gana that contracted
one Mallam Tijjani Garba who was already
widely known as a hired killer by the police
authorities to execute the plot at the cost of
fifty million naira. The Job was successfully
carried out by Tijjani Garba but the police under
the then leadership of Mr. Sunday Ehindero
uncovered the plot after it was executed and
threatened to expose the scandal if Governor
Shekarau failed to under take a bargain. It was
monetary as well as a political bargain. And the
former president Olusegun Obasanjo was fully
involved and co-opted.
When Governor Shekarau leant that Tijjani
Garba have made a confessional statement in
the force headquarters and incriminated him, he
immediately contacted Chief Olusegun Obasanjo
and began to penetrate the force Headquarters
through his ADC. We reliably gathered that
Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau gave another sum of
one hundred million naira through his ADC to
Mr. Ehindero to destroy all incriminating
confession and documents that showed his
involvement and to thereafter frustrate the
case.
Chief Obasanjo was also approached by
Shekarau to assist in killing the case. it is a well
known fact in security circles that the former
president who was directly or indirectly involved
in the assassinations of Chief Bola Ige, Harry
Marshal and Chief Chuba Okadigbo. He
demanded Shekarau to ensure that Umaru Musa
Yar’Adua won the 2007 presidential election in
Kano by all means as a condition of his
intervention. Chief Obasanjo out rightly told
Shekarau that he must ensure that General
Muhammadu Buhari is defeated in Kano and
asked the governor to decamp to the PDP.
While the governor pleaded no to do the latter,
he accepted and work vigorously against
General Buhari at the presidential polls. We can
also authoritatively report that Governor
Shekarau because of similar reason also
accepted to fund the Yar’Adua Campaign
including printing and placement of bill boards.
That was the reason he went against General
Buhari and not because of his disagreement
with the former General as he claimed in
interviews.
Alhaji Abba Gana who was directly contracted
by Governor Shekarau to kill Sheikh Ja’afar and
who subsequently contracted the job to an
expert, Tijjani Garba, also handles Shekarau’s
illegal businesses. Abba Gana was once
arrested in London with the sum of ten million
pounds belonging to Governor Shekarau on his
way to deposit the money at HSBC Bank
London and Royal Bank of Scotland. The money
laundering scandal was later referred to Nigeria
but the police took advantage of the situation,
benefited immensely and frustrated the case. It
was among the reasons the then Chairman of
the EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu indicted and
disqualified Shekarau but he was eventually
rescued by Chief Obasanjo because of the
sealed deal of ensuring Yar'Adua's victory in
Kano by all means.
Governor Ibrahim Shekarau is believed to have
diverted over thirty billon naira belonging to the
Kano State Government and through the local
Government Joint Account in Six years through
fraudulent programmes like the Hisbah and A
Daidaita Sahu. While he has also generated
billions of naira internally, what he had done so
far is not commensurate with the billions of
naira he has collected. He had become so
dictatorial, autocratic and deceptive over the
years.
What remains to be seen is serious efforts by
the Nigerian authorities to investigate the
Volume of allegations and confessional
statements which openly confesses the
involvement of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau in
brutal murder of Sheikh Ja’afar . May be not in
the present dispensation because President
Yar’Aua has not yet commenced even the
process of doing justice to the innocent souls of
imminent Nigerians like Dr. Chuba Okadigbo,
Chief Harry Marshal, Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmud
Adam and Chief Bola Ige that were snuffed out
by his predecessor. Being a beneficiary of
Shekarau's largesse coupled with the electoral
fraud in his favour in Kano, Yar'Adua is also not
likely to investigate Shekarau's glaring involment
in the murder of Sheikh Ja'afar.

But from the evidence so far before the
Nigerian Police and which were distorted, the
present Kano State Governor, Mallam Ibrahim
Shekarau is the masterminder of Sheikh Ja’afar
Mahmud Adam’s assassination and it was purely
for political reasons. But for how long will he
remain covered from this crime?


Believing PMB is just and loves just people. Fo this reasons we are calling for opening the case. Not only for Jaafar but also those extra judicially killed in the recent past like Albaniy Zaria.

COMING GENERATION SCARES ME...REAL HARD! While we have been busy talking about Nigeria of today, I wonder if we have spared a thought about how this country will be in the next TWENTY-FIVE years. On October 1, 1979, when Alhaji Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari was sworn-in as president, Goodluck Jonathan was just a 22 year-old undergrad of University of Port-Harcourt. Shagari was 54 years old. Ayo Fayose was 19 years old. Bukola Saraki was 17. Yemi Osinbajo was 22. The generation of the likes of Shagari, Richard Akinjide, Adisa Akinloye, Sabo Barkin Zuwo, Ifeanyi Nwobodo, Ume Ezeoke, Akin Omoboriowo, Olusola Saraki, Sunday Awoniyi, Garba Nadama, Awal Ibrahim and so on has gone for good! Some of us in our 40s and 50s, when in school, either in the university or secondary school, had lofty dreams, both personal and societal. We were always motivated by nationalists and inventors who had impacted positively on the cause of humanity. We were voracious readers of novels and other books. Nelkon for our Ordinary Level Physics, Lambert for Chemistry, B.O ADELEKE and Goh Cheng Leong for our Geography, Phebean Ogundipe for Practical English, Achebe and Soyinka for Literature and others like that. We were always flaunting our knowledge of current affairs. Inter- school quiz, Literary and Debating competition were the in-thing. Nowadays, students can hardly string a sentence together in English without errors.


Fast forward 35 years on and you are shocked and disturbed. Have you ever spoken to or engaged a 20 year-old boy? Ask him what motivates him and he is likely to mention music, hip hop to be precise. He has hundreds of downloaded songs on his phone. He can sing all of them off hand. He knows all the singles of Nice, Neato C, Timaya, Davido, Whiz Kid off had. The babes among them take pride in enticing men old enough to be their father on social media with buxomly physique. But s/he does not know anything about history of nationalism in the country.

Ideas about good society, responsible family and good conduct do not motivate him. He just wants to make money because his friend who does yahoo is rich and rides a good car, her friend who has numerous ‘aristos’ drives a SUV! The things that interest him/her are things that do not add value. S/he has google but never uses it for advancement of knowledge but to download porn and other inanities.

Yet, in TWENTY years time, they are the ones that will be contesting to become governors, senators, Reps members and even president. They belong to a generation that does not care about morality. They belong to a generation that is motivated only by money and its acquisition. By 2035 to 2040, they will be our senators, Reps, governors and so on.
Have we ever wonder how this country will be like in their hands as leaders ?

LONDON – A Christian pastor has confirmed
that Islamic teachings are closer to the Christ
than many churches in the west, following a
comparative study into both faiths.
“I know some emphases in Islamic teaching
come closer to the teaching of Christ and the
Bible than some teaching in Western
churches,” Steve Chalke, pastor and founder
of the Oasis charity, told Christian Today.
“Ultimately the full interpretation of who Allah/
God is can be seen through Jesus,” he added,
confirming that both faiths worship the same
God or Allah.
“Islam and Christianity are two very different
faiths and there are huge differences between
the two.”
Chalke comments followed the release of his
new book, Radical, in which he explained how
he had come to the conclusion “Muslims and
Christians worship the same God”.
He explained how Christians interpret god in
different ways which vary greatly.
“As individuals we all worship different shades
of the same God,” he said.
“There are Christians who worship a militant,
violent God. There are Christians who worship
a God who doesn’t want women in leadership.
There are Christians who worship a God who
says if you are gay you will burn in hell. There
are Christians who worship a God who does
not believe in global warming.
“I don’t separate from them even though they
have a very different take on God’s character
from me,” he added.
He cited the theologian Miroslav Volf, who
took a similar line in his book Allah: A
Christian Response.
Common Ground
Describing Islamic beliefs as “very attractive”,
Chalke insisted there was significant common
ground that must be explored.
“If we say Islam is an evil religion and they
worship a different God and Christianity is the
only way to heaven then we are heading for
World War Three,” he said.
He added that “tabloid” representations of
Islam were permeating the Church.
“If we went into a pub tonight and asked
people what Christians believe they would say
six-day creationists, anti-gay, anti-abortion,
boring, if you die before you’re baptised you
will go to hell. The tabloid media have led
people to misunderstand Christianity and
pastors now have to spend half their time de-
mythologising Christianity,” he said.
“What we don’t realise is the media are selling
us the same lie about Muslims,” he said.
He added: “The problem is we don’t know any
Muslims. Everyone is scared of Muslims
except the one who sits next to them at
work”.
Muslims believe in Jesus as one of the great
Prophets of God and that he is the son of
Mary but not the Son of God. He was
conceived and born miraculously.
In the Noble Qur’an, Jesus is called “Isa”. He
is also known as Al-Masih (the Christ) and Ibn
Maryam (Son of Mary).
As for his crucifixion, Muslims believe that
Jesus was not crucified but was lifted up to
heaven.
Muslims believe that Jesus will come back to
earth before the end of time to restore peace
and order, fight the Anti-Christ (Al-Masih Al-
Dajjal) and bring victory for truth and
righteousness.
The true followers of Jesus will prevail over
those who deny him, misrepresent him and
reject him.

When Lt. Col. Bukar Dimka of the Nigeria Army Physical Training Corps stepped out of his official residence on Macpherson Road, Ikoyi, in the early hours of February 13, 1976, he had one agenda in mind; the killing of the then Head of State, Gen. Murtala Muhammed. He achieved that criminal act by gunning down the Kano-born head of state a few minutes after the latter left the Dodan Barracks, Obalende, the official seat of the Federal Military Government at the time. Muhammed’s official black Mercedes Benz was riddled with bullets near a petrol station on Bank Road, (now Murtala Muhammed Drive) opposite the Federal Secretariat, Ikoyi. Killed along with him were, his ADC, Lt. Akintunde Akinsehinwa and driver. After the assassination, Dimka had made a broadcast at the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) studio in the following words; ‘’Good morning fellow Nigerians, This is Lt. Col. B. Dimka of the Nigerian Army calling. I bring you good tidings. Murtala Muhammed’s deficiency has been detected. His government is now overthrown by the young revolutionaries. Any attempt to foil these plans from any quarters will be met with death. Everyone should be calm. Please stay by your radio for further announcements. All borders, air and sea ports are closed until further notice. Curfew is imposed from 6am to 6pm. Thank you. We are all together.” Two days after Muhammed was assassinated, Dimka was declared wanted for treason and murder by military authorities. He was eventually caught at a checkpoint at Abakaliki on March 5, 1976 and brought to Lagos the following day. On March 6, 1976, the Federal Government promptly issued a statement on his arrest as follows: ‘’His arrest followed a massive manhunt operation mounted by a combined team of the Army and Police in the area. ‘’The previous day, Lt. Col Dimka had checked in at a local hotel in Afikpo under the name of Mr. C. Godwin of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Enugu. Later, on his request, the hotel manager secured for him a girl, Miss. Beatrice Agboli, with whom to spend the night. ‘’A few hours later, the local Police security was alerted and they closed up on him. At about 10.30 pm, he bolted away through the window of the toilet of his hotel room into a nearby thick bush, abandoning his car with a dangling registration number ECC 6253.” ‘’The continuous joint manhunt operation by the Army and Police resulted in his subsequent arrest near Abakaliki.’’ Barely few hours after he was brought to Lagos, he was interrogated by the military Board of Inquiry led by Major Gen. E. O. Abisoye. However while Dimka was being quizzed, 32 people including Major Gen. Illiya Bisalla, who had already been tried for their roles in the attempted coup were executed in Lagos on March 11, 1976. The only civilian executed among them was Abdulkarim Zakari, a graduate of University of Ibadan, who was said to have led Dimka and others into the studios of the NBC on February 13, 1976. The broadcaster was also cited as the man who signed for martial music records from the NBC library the previous night. Just as the first batch of coup plotters were executed, Dimka’s trial begun after he was presented to the press on March 11, 1976. Handcuffed, Dimka who wore a katftan dress watched journalists listen to a tape recording of his appearance before the board of inquiry for about five minutes. He confirmed that the voice on the tape was his own and that it was a recording made at his interrogation. He emphasised that the statement was not made under duress. According to a Daily Times publication, ‘’13 Years of Military Rule 1966-79’’ the highlights of Dimka’s confessional statements included, ‘’Frankly speaking, I should say the beginning of the coup idea was around January this year (1976).’’ He said he had discussions with some persons including former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon in London and when he returned to the country, he decided to assign responsibilities to members of the young revolutionaries conscripted into the plan. But Gowon, who was in exile at the time denied any prior knowledge of the coup attempt. Dimka also claimed the coup plot was hatched by young officers who resolved not to involve any Lieutenant Colonel and above except himself in a bid to effect a change of government. In his confessional statement, he said, Gen. Bisalla had complained to him and expressed his frustration that despite being a member of the Supreme Military Council (SMC), each time there was a decision to be taken, he was either sent to one place or the other. Dimka said ‘’ Bisalla told me that whatever will happen he want us to go ahead, and work out the details.’’ Explaining how responsibilities were distributed, the leader of the coup plot said ‘’ When I met Major Rabo, he said that he had finally distributed responsibilities. Major Rabo was for target one- Head of State, Lt. Dauda was for target two- Lt. Gen. Obasanjo, Lawrence Garba was for target three- Lt. Gen. Danjuma. ‘’Major Gagara was for Ilorin and Sokoto, Jos had nobody. The main centres of operations were Kaduna, Ibadan, Benin where there are Radio stations’’. He also listed the targets of attack, that is, those to be eliminated as the Head of State, the four GOCs, Col. Babangida, Col. Bajowa, Col. Mohammed of Sokoto, Col. Ibrahim Taiwo of Kwara, Col. Abdullahi of Jos and Col. Jemibewon of Ibadan.’’ Dimka also confessed before the military board of inquiry how Zakari showed him the NBC broadcasting section on February 12, a day before the coup attempt. On how the ex-Head of State was killed, he said ‘’ I stood at George Street with Major Rabo to wait until such a time when the Head of State’s car was coming out. There, one Capt. Malaki who was to give the warning order. Capt. Malaki was to be on the watch to signal Major Rabo and Lt. William Seri on the approach of the vehicle. So I came up and I was at the petrol station waiting. ‘’I was behind while we were talking when the Commander –in-Chief’s car passed. In fact, I did not even see it until when Malaki said the car has passed. So, we rushed in and then followed and the car was held somewhere just opposite the petrol station. ‘’Lt. Seri was approaching the car when we stopped and Major Rabo rushed to him, then the firing started. ‘’ Dimka confessed that after the Head of State was assassinated, he went to the NBC and made his broadcast that the young revolutionaries had taken over the government. At the end of his trial, coup leader and a number of others were found guilty of treason and murder. Their death sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Military Council. Dimka and seven others were eventually executed by firing squad at Kirikiri Prisons on May 15, 1976, for their part in the abortive coup. Also executed among the squad was the former Governor of the then Benue Plateau State, Joseph Gomwalk. However, two NCOs, Sgt. Clement Yildar and Corporal Dauda Usman escaped and were never found. They were declared wanted by the authorities. The situation led to the promulgation by Olusegun Obasanjo regime of certain retrospective decrees and new military laws justifying mass executions for coup participation.

CELEBRATING ST. VALENTINE DAY IS HARAAM AS IT IS PAGANIC AND CHRISTIANIC IN ORIGIN. Participating in St. Valentine Day celebration is HARAAM for many reasons, some of which are:
1- It has pagan origin;
2- The fact that the title 'St.' stands for saint and it's a purely Christian title, it becomes HARAAM for a Muslim to celebrate it. Read the HQ 3:28, 5:-50-51 and 60:1 among others;
3- It is a celebration characterized by luring temptations to sexual irresponsibilities and waywardness. Read the HQ 17:32 and 25:68;
4-It represents the reprehensible attitude of squandering hard-earned resources. That is HARAAM. Read the HQ 17:26-27;
5- It is- arguably- a breeding ground for STD or Sexually Transmitted Disease, a'uudhu bil Laahi!!;
6- It leads to displeasure of Allah the Most High.

7- It is against conventional Morality.

Hadrat Zaid Ibn Haritha (R.A) was the first appointed General by the Holy Prophet In the same Battle, Khalid ibn Walid (fourth general of the Battle of Moota) was proclaimed by the Holy Prophet as being "one of the swords of Allah", i.e "Saif-ul-Allah" The Holy Prophet married his first beloved wife; Khadijah (R.A) 15 years prior to Prophecy. Zaid Ibn Haritha (R.A) met martyrdom in 8 A.H, including Ja'far Ibn Abi Talib (R.A.) and Abdullah Ibn Rawaahah. Abdullah Ibn Uthman (R.A.) passed away. The Holy Prophet's grandfather, Abdul Muttalib passed away 32 years prior to prophecy. May Allah bless, guide and protect us in this month and beyond.

The concept of marriage.

Marriage is not the coming together of two
parties as husband and wife, it is neither the
mingling of two bodies on bed nor emotional
entanglement of two hearts defined as "love".


Rather, marriage is the solemn contract
agreement entered by the families of the man
and woman to live and stay together as a
smaller unit of the larger society, with shared
responsibilities of family upbringing and
maintenance headed by the man as the
breadwinner of the family.

Once this smaller units of our society is good then we should expect peaceful and harmonious coexistence in the larger society.

When you want to marry study him /her very well so as to have a good mother /father for your children.

Building a virile and peaceful society starts with you.

When the abduction of the said Chibokgirls was made public, there was public demand for names and the profiles of the girls to be made public, the school authority refused to released the names, the ministry of Education declined from releasing the names, the WAEC board that registered the girls for the SSCE exams couldn't release the names, numbers and profiles, the Governor of the state (Borno) said he couldn't, then Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) released the names of 280 Chibokgirls and made demands.... On 4th May 2014, the National Christian body (CAN), consequently made demands: "We make the following demands of the Federal Government whose duty it was to protect the (Chibok)girls, First, a # 50million damage as trauma compensation to each girl, Second, a preparation to take each girl to an oversea University on Government scholarship". Immediately CAN made the names and photos of the said 280 Chibokgirls public, the calls by citizens for the whereabout of the girls filled the media and the socialmedia, the hashtag # BringBackOurGirls became the symbol of the Chibokgirls agitation and many celebrities joined in the campaign, but the questions that still lingers are: Are Chibokgirls abduction a scam or reality ? Why only circled the issue of abduction to Chibokgirls only ?
