In recent times gamification has been used to learn new skills, however I always thought improving knowledge of Agriculture in Africa using gamification is not possible until I played the Farm Defenders game. The Farm Defender is a 3D farm simulation game spanning the entire continent of Africa that lets you create farms in every environment, from the lush tropics to the barren deserts. Grow your crops and become wealthy all while preventing disease, pests, and maximizing yield using real-life African farming techniques sustainably. About 61 countries were represented there bro, wished I had attended! Pappyshoes: |
Thanks for starting this thread OP. First I NEVER wanted to study Agriculture...I turned down an admission to study physics and had to do a one-year Pre-Degree just to end up studying Soil Science and Meteorology instead of the Engineering I wanted to study! But am proud to be a farmer today, really proud...Read my experiences on AGric and be inspired: http://kalusam./ |
@world1 something like this?

Its so funny as I read several posts of people wanting to see live chicken or their droppings! Seems you guys have never been to a poultry farm before, or how will you explain hosting your visitors inside a stinking poultry house? Let's be realistic, Poultry business is not only about the birds...it has a lot to do with feeds, vitamins, medications, incubators, automatic housing, drinking systems, debeakers, and the list goes on and on. Let's face reality, agriculture is not for those that talk about it but those that actually practice it. Am proud to call myself a poultry farmer! |
Boss, never knew you also into Livestock ooo, nice one. Pappyshoes: |
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has advised loan seekers under its N220 billion micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) credit to report anybody or financial institution demanding money for application form for the loan to the Department of Development Finance at the apex bank’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja or any of its branches across the country or any law enforcement organization. The action, according to a statement by the CBN Director of Corporate Communications, Mr. Ibrahim Muazu, had become necessary because while the application form for the loan remains free, it had come to the notice of the bank that some criminal elements have been going about defrauding unsuspected members of the public, fleecing them of their hard earned monies under the pretense that they would secure loans for them.
