One person being neglected to give credit to is Julie Ward. If anything, I believe she's the one that may have gotten them to invite him. So far, she's the only MEP I know that's been on their side. She was the one that asked for his release in 2016 and likewise, in February 2019 she made a post on Twitter on her excitement on meeting him. Last week, Kanu posted an image of both of them together so I guess they met again. People are giving credit to Kanu but neglecting to give credit to someone that very likely did most of the work.

I am going through the National Bureau of Statistics website and I pulled out the Unemployment data to analyze and below are my findings:

The South-South region even with all the bogus federal allocation still remains the zone with the highest unemployment rate. In actual fact, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa-Ibom are the three states with the most unemployment rate in Nigeria.

The South-West zone is the region with the lowest unemployment rate and in actual fact Osun, Oyo, and Ondo are the states with the lowest unemployment rate in Nigeria.

The South-East region trails behind the SW, NW, and NC in terms of unemployment index.

Not all charged court cases are worth the paper they are written on.

It will be difficult for the Nigerian government to win an extradition case against him in UK, hence they are not going for it.

They have not prove that, the charges of treasonable felony were not politically motivated in order to silence his activism....and a clear evidence against the Nigerian government in a proceeding like that, is the fact that, the other people arrested, charged and locked up with Kanu have not been prosecuted by the government; it appear that, the government is contented with just locking them up and throwing away the keys, without pursuing the trial to logical conclusion.

Another case is Sowere, they arrested him, then start asking for 90 days to gather evidence against him; are you not supposed to have your indicated evidence before arresting someone? Agreed, you have to do investigation, but before you should at least charge them to court for the offense you are alleging that, they have committed.

The government know that, if they fail in an extradition hearing, it will be a big egg on their face....also, even if they win and he is extradited; the trial will take a global status as the whole world will pay attention to see if it was been conducted according to international rule of law and that it was fair...it is a lose...lose situation for Nigeria, hence they would rather just ignore him and behave as if he does not exist.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said that no fewer than 200 vessels now berth in the Warri ports, Delta.

This was made known during a Stakeholders Forum held on Monday at the Warri Ports.

The forum was at the instance of the visiting Chairman, NPA Board of Directors, Mr Emmanuel Adesoye, who was on an on-the-spot assessment tour of the port facilities.

The Managing Director of NPA, Hadiza Usman was represented at the event by Mr Rufai Mohammed.

Usman said the development had boost economic activities in Warri and attributed the feat to President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to dredging the escravos channel.

She said the Federal Government was committed to improving economic activities in the ports, adding that more dredging was being carried out to accommodate bigger vessels in the Warri ports.

“Only the regime of President Buhari has embarked on the dredging of the Warri ports,” Usman said.

She, however, appealed to stakeholders including host communities to continue to maintain the existing peace in the area.

Responding, Mr Adesoye, who had earlier toured the NPA facilities said there had been a great improvement in the facilities compared to what he observed in 2016 when he last visited the port.

According to him, the purpose of the visit is to have an on-the-spot assessment of the progress made by the port since November 2016.

“The current challenge is about the issue of dredging the channels in the port, particularly the terminals.

“We are already taking action concerning it. So, there is no problem. No time frame, but we are on it,” Adesoye said.

He also expressed satisfaction at the improved security situation in the waterways, which according to him had led to more vessels berthing at the port.

“The number of ships has increased significantly and revenue has gone up.

“That is what happens when there is unity among stakeholders, management and the communities,” he said.

However, the stakeholders in their presentations, called for more security to enable them to meet the global practice of 24 hours shipping activities as against the current 6:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m system.
