I advise that you go there with your slip and go of passport (if it’s renewal). Your passport may be ready since some of the offices eg Alausa has issues with their SMS platform. My tracker didn’t change until I received my passport.

I was there on the 12th of this month, have not been in Osogbo for some time now hopefully will check whenever am around

Went the DIY route. Paid last year but didn't capture till July this year. Went there this morning to check on the status only to be told NRF (NO RECORDS FOUND). They are telling me to check back in a week's time to see if they can find the record. And that by the way, they are still producing for May so if I need it urgently.....

These people sha want me to part with money before they find my file and produce passport for me.

I don't mind the wait but how can they misplace my file?

Please does anyone have any idea of how I can tackle this issue? What's the use of doing DIY if they are going to blackmail someone into parting with money?

Update: so I went there(Alausa) yesterday 20th October and only 1 was ready, the 1 that captured on the 7th. UP was written on the other collection slip and I was told to come back next week.

Also without skill many Africans are surviving but the chances are very low now.

No they didn't confirm the original, I didn't went with my original copies all were photocopies, all the forms I printed were in black and white, I will advise you have at least 2 copies each of all your documents.

You can do everything same day IF you don't have any issues or challenges during documentation and verification. I submitted and had my capturing same day

All the documents I submitted were photocopies at the Osogbo passport office, I don't know of other centers

The LGA identification documents
I don't have the physical original one anymore. I only have it in cloud.
When I was uploading it around 2015, I forgot to remove the passport so that's why it's like that

If I print this the way it is online in coloured. Would it be accepted as lga identification. And also, the passport is not recent, the passport was 2015 and now its 2022

To the best of my knowledge Yes you can use this. All the documents you are submitting are ob black and white. In Osogbo

Thanks to the creator of this thread.
This thread made me or should I say motivated me to get my international passport using the DIY method myself.
Well, I'm presently a corper serving in osun state and I used my allawee yesterday to apply for my international passport. I don't intend travelling now cos I still have 8 months left but I just want to have a passport incase and opportunity to travel comes. You never can tell

I applied yesterday, made payment yesterday and the only date available for appointment was November 28th so I selected that.

Now, my question
The documents you mentioned
1. [Birth certificate (I have the original in the cloud), Can it be printed coloured to use as original]
2. NIN: I have the plastic NIN presently with me and I don't have the slip anymore, I only have the original of the slip in my cloud
3. LGA identification: This is the major one where I have problem. The 1 above, I have the original at home physically but I can't seem to go home now cos of the tag on corpers travelling, I have the original of this on my cloud. The problem with this is that, it was done 2015. Secondly, my passport photograph is on it, if I decide to print it coloured to show them with my passport directly on it, would it be accepted. The passport was added when i gained admission into school, passport was asked to be added. Image shown below as 3. What do I do in this scenario
4. Guarantor Form: There's no one in my family who has an international passport, I also want to keep it on a low key. I have a friend tho who's same age with me and he has agreed to give me his data page.
Now, he only has NIN instead of the national ID card (I don't know if NIN would work in place of national ID card) and he doesn't have a driver license either. What do I do in this scenario
Again, should the guarantor form be hand written I.e printed and filled using biro or should I fill it online.
5. Can I go before the appointment date to drop my documents and would it be worked upon. In as much as I'm not in a haste, I find November 28th far. It might skip my memory as well.

What else am I missing.

In image 5, which is a sample of the guarantor form, what's should I fill in the dotted place. (Remember I said it was my friend, he's still a student while I am currently serving. Should the profession be student. How about the business address, cash available, name and address of banker,other assets, houses, name of country, purpose of travelling.
