- you would probably be asked how long you have worked for the organisation, how much you earn, why you were picked for the conference, some questions on your field, the relevance of the field to you.
- it would really help if your magazine has high visibility i.e. online presence, awards (my opinion).
- Go with all relevant documents - employment letter, invitation letter of the conference, or anything that will support your case (my opinion).

Any other question would just be around (maybe) your travel history, how long you are staying, how long you have worked for your present company, how much you make, your married life, if you have kids etc.

A woman was refused bording Delta Airline to Atlantic last week. The Airline claimed they received a call from US immigration not to allow her fly. Am just curious

Please guys I need you help oh! I have applied for US visa 3times and i I have been denied. The most painful thing is that I have a 2year vaild U.K. Visa! The last interview I attended on may 18th 2018, the VO did not even go through my passport! My main reason for visiting US is to see my mother. The last time I saw her was 2017,when she came home to buried her younger sister. She is 76yrs old and lived with my elder sisters. I don't understand the reason why I was denied. All the VO said was that I am not qualify for the visa issued me a green sheet of paper that stated section 214 balbalbal...... if is U.K. Visa, they will start in clear terms why you are being denied visa and you will be able to rectify the issue! Which happened to me in 2015, and I applied again in 2016 and was issued 6months visa, after that I applied for 2yrs in 2017 which is going to expired in March 2019. I am in London now, will come back to Nigeria end of February. I want to apply for US visa again in June. So how do go about it this time!

I am a Science student, a graduate of ICT...after seeing all these questions - I will say Jesus Is Lord. He is only typing what everyone in the exam hall must have said in their minds.

if a couple is going for a vacation in the USA together (couple vacation), is it must for two of them to go for interview the same day? can't they go separately? Just asking, if that will cause any problem.

1. As a VO, I would be concerned about your 3 kids being left behind, Is it that your are not financially buoyant or do you wish to use them as a means of creating a tie to Nigeria ?

2. As a VO, I know for sure that Texas is not a common holiday destination, maybe Florida, even New York, but Texas ? isn't that the place Nigerians go to give birth.

VO - Faced me, where do you work?
me - told her
VO - Faced WIfy, what do you do?
WIfy- Told her
VO - why are you going to the US?
Me - Going for a short vacation and spend the Valentine's there.
VO - Do you have kids?
Me & WIfy - Yes, 3 children
VO - Do you have anyone in the US?
Me & WIfy - No
VO - You are not eligible this time around.

NOTE:
I had an uncle that was working with the Nigeria Ambassador to Canada about 18yrs ago, my uncle travelled to Canada with the Ambassador when he got the appointment(I don't know the type of Visa my uncle got to travel with him) After 4 years when he finished his tenure my uncle relocated to New York( I don't know the status he used to enter the USA).
My uncle has visited Nigeria about 3 times since then and spent weeks or months when he comes around.
About 4 years ago he had stroke, rushed to the hospital and died in the US, and he was buried there.
Please I want to know if the embassy will have his record has been dead or they will have it as someone that travelled and didn't come back. I am just surprised that the interview ended almost immediately she asked if we have anybody in the US.
Please I need your opinions because we intend to apply with the family for holidays later in the year.
NOTE: No travel history, my wife just wanted to visit US because most of her colleagues have visited so I am just trying to fulfil her desire. Thanks everyone.
