@Gerrard59

You've made excellent points.

You and I are men, let's build our society in our own little way by condemning prostitution.

No be say na me holy pass o but any female member of my family who does prostitution will be cut off.

Well, it is why I have this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/6643241/nigerian-men-failed-women and this one:https://www.nairaland.com/7684230/how-reduce-hook-ups-nigeria

Hookup cannot be eradicated but can be reduced when there is prosperity. People will mention children of the rich who enter the industry, but that is an exception, not the norm. I cannot blame our women for selling their bodies amidst the economic crises in the country. That is how it has been globally ab initio. Then again, even in prosperous societies, hookup still exists. E get one website I saw where one could book babes. Starting rates were about $200 - $400. Even in the UK, I have seen our women charging rates ranging from £150 - £400 for short time. So, hookup will always exist. I have broken it down even to scientific publications.

The bold is not true. Nigerian women/ladies who japa'd to the UK will disagree. If Nigerian men don't want their women to do hookup, they should create a prosperous society for their women to thrive. I read on another thread where a woman got money from Keke hustle to cultivate soybeans only for Fulani herdsmen to raze her entire farmland. The first question I had in mind was: where are/were the men in that community? What are they doing to curtail the demonic antics of Fulani herdsmen? If tomorrow that woman goes into hookup, I cannot criticise her. If she were in Ghana, such would not happen.

The solution dey Nigerian men hand.

P.S. No developed/prosperous society had women at the forefront of development or prosperity.
The Nigeria I was born into was made/destroyed by the leaders, especially political and not men per se. Women have taken up power too and have exhibited the Nigerian leader characters.
The issue of fulani herdsmen is a politics problem. These herdsmen have killed a lot of men for simply trying to make a living and remember we have women in power and leadership positions too.

I'm not saying they are lazy, what I mean is they are not as hardworking as Nigerian guys. A lot of our women pray for rich husband in the face of agbadoconomics while the men are doing everything against all odds to have a decent living. In UK our women are notorious for taking their men's money and properties, something they could work for in such an environment.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is: it is better we advocate for skill acquisition, good motivation and proper education, these are better alternatives to making money than sleeping around. I don't care what a woman does with her private part but how many men will a jobless, unmotivated and uneducated lady in a village in Abia sleep with before she can raise 30k in a month? Her vagina fit don catch fire at this point.

On the other hand, a lady who has a job is assured of some 20k at the end of the month, even if she wants to sell her body, there will be limit to it and she can't regard herself as a prostitute. Here her dignity is maintained and she doesn't see her vagina as the only goto anytime she's stucked.

Those girls don't know business or are not ready to make money. Fine, there are few moneybags, but to make it via hookup, they need to leave the brothel setting and go online. Honestly, they have a lot of learning to do. I fit offer free McKinsey's advice. grin
Bro, sometimes I see you talking about how girls into prostitution should be left alone and it just doesn't sit well with me.

Not from the moral stand point tho but from how derogatory the profession is.

How many Nigerian men are ready to pay 10k or above for sex? Very few. The further you go from Lagos, the lesser the number of these men become.

Few months ago here, a guy was dragging a lady for not showing up after taking 2k in agreement for sexual services. Omo! When I saw it, I wan craze. angry I mean, how many men is a lady supposed to sleep with in a month to make 30k, by the way, the said lady is in her 40s from the looks of things.

What our women need is proper education, skills and correct motivation which will keep them afloat financially, and also help them command good money incase they embrace prostitution.

Also, lots of our women are not hard workers.

The problem with many of you is that,
YOU EXPLOIT AND USED ALL YOUR OPTIONS WHEN YOU WERE AT THE PEAK OF YOUR SEXUAL MARKET VALUE, BUT NOW THAT YOU'RE IN YOUR DECLINE, YOU DON'T WANT TO WAKE UP TO REALITY AND REDUCE ALL THE IMAGINERY AND UNREALISTIC PREFERENCE YOU'RE DEMANDING FROM GUYS.

IRONICALLY, MOST OF YOU EVEN THINK YOU DESERVE A LOYAL AND COMMITTED PARTNER, AS IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN LOYAL TO ANYONE BEFORE cheesy cheesy grin
My brother, the way they talk about relationships, you'd think it's only them that will be in it.

Life is full of twist and turns. You are not the creator. Be humble. Do you know if the biological father of the boys are late? What is wrong if their mother is being loved and the boys have a goodly responsible father figure in their lives? Some of y'all should just quit with some of these your African man mentality reason there's so much wickedness and backwardness.
The father is alive but abandoned the woman and his children.

It says a lot about the kind of woman she is and her taste in men.

Unfortunately, these women learn lessons after making terrible mistakes. I mean, who wouldn't?

Seeing how free that road is is surprising.

I am curious, why is it so? Abi dem never fix the Lagos-Abeoukta Expressway up till now? huh shocked That road and one road like that in Imo were the places I prayed silently to God, saying, please make it possible for me to leave Nigeria. I cannot continue like this embarassed.
There's only one road leading from island all the way to Ogun state.

The part of the road in Lagos comes with overhead bridges, however it is too little to serve the population. It is only a singular bridge that leads the island to mainland, the 3rd mainland bridge. It's the reason why there's always gridlock during rush hours.

The worse part of the road is the one in ogun state. That roads interchanges from one lane to two lanes.

One thing that still surprises me till today is why buses still need conductors in the best state in Nigeria.

Why do we need one dirty looking guy to hang on a bus to collect moneyhuh? It's so archaic and backward.
