mine was off and on but I learnt JavaScript so well and am good at it. “The Definitive guide to JavaScript” was like my best book also together with many online resources.
I also read “You don’t know JS” series for in-depth knowledge.
I also later went ahead to learn
Introduction to JQuery

cool cool

I highly recommend your recommendations!

They are just the best js books I've ever read.

If you want to join yahoo, just go with it.

Programming takes years to master.

Many of us spent 4yrs learning a course in school and end up graduating with no job several years later but we can't even put two productive years into this?

And if course, it is lucrative only when you are very good.

Programming / Re: I Find It Hard Learning Javascript...i Need Help by Karlebolu(m): 8:28am On May 02, 2020
I wonder why people always recommend eloquent Javascript for beginners. That book is too hard and the tutor was even rushing things.

There's a chapter where the guy created another language with Javascript, imagine that! The last time I checked the book isn't even colored.

I almost quitted js when I read Javascript design patterns, the tutor was even using Game of Thrones terminology in his examples. It was hell!

I recommend downloading multiple books, subscribing to multiple YouTube Javascript channels and follow multiple Javascript tutorial websites.

Let's face it, some tutor sucks.

If the material is giving you headache, discard it and go with another.

Lastly, stay away from Indians, those guys are good but their English is bad. Very bad!

I was able to get the answer through Google search.

There is this Javascript library that does exactly what laravel authorization does, it was what the guy used albeit in a different way.

Programming / I Need help With Vuejs/laravel by Karlebolu(m): 7:52pm On Apr 13, 2020
There is this method called in a vue component that was not imported from anywhere in a lesson I am following on github.

https://github.com/connor11528/laravel-forum/blob/master/resources/assets/js/components/Reply.vue

on line 58, a canUpdate computed property was defined, it reference an authorize method and I don't know where it came from.

canUpdate(){
return this.authorize(user => this.data.user_id == user.id);
},

even the computed property on line 53 something ambiguous to me

signedIn(){
return window.App.signedIn;
}
.

Please help clarify.

No need to argue if there is God or not. You need demons to deal with you.
What if you die and still go to hell anyway because Odin is the one true God?

Programming / Re: His Mysql Query Returned Duplicate Output. Help Him by Karlebolu(m): 11:13pm On Jul 12, 2019
Alichigozie:
Below are the codes that solved it for me:

$cc=$_POST[textfield1];//Where textfield1 is the search keyword;
/* $t1 and $t2 are the starting date and the ending date to be compared with the search keyword;
$m=mysql_query("SELECT* FROM deposit WHERE acc_no='$cc' AND(dates>='$t1' AND dates<='$t2') UNION SELECT* FROM withdrawal WHERE acc_no='$cc' AND(dates>='$t1' AND dates<='$t2') UNION SELECT* FROM charges WHERE acc_no='$cc' AND(dates>='$t1' AND dates<='$t2') ORDER BY dates" ) ;
if(!$m){die('Error Selecting Record From Table: '.mysql_error());}
while($r=mysql_fetch_array($m)){
$a=$r['acc_no'];$b=$r['description'];$c=$r['amt'];$d=$r['dates'];
}

I want to believe a foreach loop will do a better job than the while loop.

Programming / Re: Don't Be A Framework-infected Programmer by Karlebolu(m): 7:07pm On Jul 12, 2019
My own opinion is that every programmer should try to build their own framework.

It doesn't have to be as excellent as CakePHP, Laravel, Jquery or Bootstrap. In fact, in my opinion the backbone of a framework (I'm talking about PHP (MVC) now) are the Model, View, Controller and Router other helper classes/functions are embellishments you can do without.

As an upcoming PHP develoer, I was creating a basic forum website (BB) with basic knowledge of OOP and close to zero knowledge of design patterns, the classes were just extending each other but then I stumbled upon a book "Pro PHP MVC" and it changed my views, I had to halt the development to digest the ebook. While on that I came across design patterns and I've been wowed since then.

Although building with framework is faster and easier but knowing how a router routes a controller shows that you know what you're doing and this things are not hard to grasp.

The protagonist said after duping a rather religious fellow -- "as long as people believe in toys we will continue to be in business".

Why don't you want to use the Jquery AJAX library it's much easier to use than the JavaScript Method

Programming / Javascript's Alternative To Jquery's Ajax Call. by Karlebolu(m): 5:53pm On Mar 11, 2019
I am trying to implement a snippet of code to create a like and dislike system using PHP, MYSQL and JS via http://codewithawa.com/posts/like-dislike-system-with-php-and--mysql

Everything over there works fine but I am trying to make the ajax call via JavaScript itself and not the Jquery library. Someone should help please!

Also, a $_POST['action'] super global was addressed within the PHP codes but a form tag that should refer to it was not created in the HTML codes, I guess it has to do with the JQuery ajax. Right?

I don't really get why we like playing the color(black) victim.
If you'll rather pay for Niel Fuller's training than Surv.eycash's then that's your business or should I say problem and none of mine.

Even if warren Buffet is organizing a $500 webinar, I'll kick a against it because that's a business (marketing) strategy not a forex trading strategy.

People give free pricefull, priceless and worthless FX advice, strategy et al every day all over the the net, why pay such sum for what you can get free online..
