The PDP disappointed the South East. They should have given them the mandate even though they would lose eventually. It's a huge mark of loyalty. But no, they chose Atiku, who will lose by the looks of things. PDP will regret this action before August, quote me. |
Be the national structure. Don't you want good things? Why are Africans always retrogressive in their thinking? Only attaching to clannish, ethnic and religious identities. Dialpad: |
Wike is naive in national politics. He should have asked Jonathan why he claimed he is Igbo. Fact is when you get to Aso Rock, you will learn that a vast majority of Nigeria's population is either Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba, or simply Christians and Muslims. You must have one fiercely support you, otherwise you may have a turbulent government. Forget the political classification into six political zones, Nigeria really stands on the tripod of Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba. If they reveal the voting data to you too, you will be shocked to see they have been telling so many lies in Nigeria. |
More reasons to vote for Peter Obi. One of the few governors for whom politics is a side hustle. They do not see it as a do or die affair. |
Wicked people. |
This is board room strategy well planned, and seamlessly being executed, one after another. Still loading. At the end, the victims will not only assume some unquantifiable level of foolishness, but will remain perpetually traumatised. |
This is a phase in a country's development. Countries like the UK and the rest have passed that age, which is why the works of artisans are now more valued and better compensated there. |
The fear of military coup is the beginning of wisdom |
Life is not a straightforward affair. What is important though is that you still have the life with you, for only the living live. |
Golan007:Exactly what I am saying. Simple use of Google.com would have avoided your concern. Smartphone, indeed. |
Only Etop Ikpe probably knows what he is saying. Others be speculative. In this life, if you are not sure of what you are saying just shut up. Plus, I think it's largely a broadband connectivity issue. Facebook or Google recently set out to run sub sea cable throughout the whole of the South East Region. Not sure about the update of their activities. |
My advice is what till next year if nothing improves after December, 2023 japa fully. 1,500,000 when dollar is back to 300 is about 5k usd. Nigeria is pretty cheap to live in. |
The embattled deputy governor is a great loyalist. He refused to leave the party that made him what he is today. Such a great friend I would want to keep. A very reliable fellow. |
Everyone eventually descends into nothingness with age. Life is indeed a passing phase. He is having a peaceful one, I trust. Only poets, country music artistes, spiritualists and writers probably have beautiful sunsets. |
Deadlytruth:Which truth and reconciliation committee are you talking about. Was there any truth and reconciliation committee when the Northern power block conspired to murder Abiola, and the Yorubas were compensated in 1999? Again, healing is both a two way thing. The Igbos who were massacred in their numbers using the instruments of the state would argue they are the victims in all of these. If no healing can take place then don't you think that these people should be allowed a comfortable exit. It is wrong for one section of the country to dismiss the ambition of others simply because they control the instruments of the state in the time being. My point is Nigeria cannot last extra 20 years with this kind of democracy. The world is becoming more sophisticated and alignments and re-alignments are becoming neither here nor there. Your argument about truth and reconciliation is again skewed because it is very certain who killed the other more. I am afraid Nigeria is not a sustainable country with your type of adulterated reasoning, even with seeming education. Not interested in further argument please. When those who shall be responsible for deciding the country’s future take any decisions on 2023, I shall come back to you if it is necessary. You are practising selective consciousness in the least. |
Deadlytruth:With due respect, I think your argument is skewed. At best, ( as I do not have enough strength to re-state the obvious) Kindly allow them, assuming you possess the power to do so, to exit Nigeria. It is as simple as that. Did you conduct a census to find out the percentage of Igbo people who are abusing other ethnic groups, assuming also that others don't abuse. Whether you like it or not, your country needs to heal or prepare for continued political instability. I is as simple as that. I don't have the time to argue the obvious. I believe you already know the truth but are hindered by deep-seated hatred. Looks like the Igbos invaded the whole Northern Nigeria and murdered the entire people. Your sense of history is also poor, and baised. I think it is Buhari amd APC that divided Nigeria beyond repair. The issue of whether the Igbos deserve the Presidency would have been unnecessarily insignificant were Yar Adua still in power. Whether you like it or not, this singular issue will disintegrate Nigeria now or in the near future if it is not well handled. You should be realistic in your orientation and not blinded by ethnic jingoism. And I re-state my position, the Igbos are a very significant percentage of the population and cannot be sidelined forever. It is not politically intelligent to hand over power to the South West or South South because it is absolutely unstrategic in managing the diversity of the country for long. Do not look at the voting population as it is grossly misleading; look at the actual human population, compare it with other tribal groups in the country. Forget the balkanisation of the country into the 6 political zones. And it seems your mind is also clouded by illusions. Have your given an Igbo person power and he/she goes after your people. This is unimaginable hatred of the highest quantity. You are just blinded by deep-seated hatred, which is heavily repulsive for a person of your intellect (judging by your ability to string a few English words together). |

I hope people know the Igbos have more than 30 million people in Nigeria. That's the right metric and not some skewed voting population figures. Government should work with this figure when making certain critical decisions. This is the right time to heal the wound and move on, otherwise Nigeria may not survive another power rotation for 16 years without the Igbos. I don't think this is possible. What do you gain by returning power to the South South or the South West? Nothing. Let the inequity be rectified now. It will be dangerous not to. |
With the right regulatory environment, Nigeria has no reason having many of its young people unemployed. So many of those startups will spring up. The environment is so unfriendly that not a penny of this fund would be sitting in a Nigerian bank account, at least for now. Offshore banks are enabling other countries to grow their GDP and put more money in the hands of the citizens of those countries. Those who work in the international financial system can tell you how rotten Nigeria is. As for Flutterwave, it is time to get to work after Series D. Time to stop chasing valuation, but I forsee other fintechs Chipper Cash, etc. toppling their new achievement soon. |
Where you came from do they call lawyers there lowkey average lawyer, and what is the lowest fee they charge? If you are called a stupid naive illiterate looking for low key average lawyers, would you be okay with that? |
Startups are bound to fail. There is no job security as you may be sacked at anytime due to high expectations especially if you are into sales and marketing. Startups such as fintechs also have stages of development. You may be suited to the current stage, but the startup is more likely to adjust its staff capacity, including retrenchment to make way for employees more suitable for their next stage of growth. My advice is look at the difference between the bank pay and the proposed pay of the fintech for that role. If it is negligible, stay back in the bank. If huge in favour of the fintech, leave. If the fintech offers stock option, grab it too and quit. Fundamentally, look at the age of the startup. If it is past 2 years or 3, then it can be considered relatively stable. If not, you may be part of an experiment that may fail. Be acutely sharp like an Eagle. Last last, you can only make yourself rich. Not even the fintech and the bank can do that for you. |
Lawyers in Nigeria should protect their profession. It is about to be bastardised by politicians. |
Could you additionally elaborate on how he was able to effectively manage the limited resources under his control, despite his inability to create sufficient revenue? |
The guy is probably selling for his elderly mom or something like that. |
Their North, their problem. Nigeria would have been lit on fire long ago if similar waves of killings have been happening in the south. |
I owe my English language proficiency and impeccable orals to listening to radio while growing up. Those days, I used to tune in to BBC World Service short wave bandwidths. I also listened to Voice of America, as well as local stations with good presenters, Coal City Fm, Enugu (Flora Ojukwu & co).I kept dairies of the daily news, piles of rotting books eaten by roaches and insects now. Considering where I grew up, I couldn't have amounted to much in life without that language fluency and mastery. Can remember my younger brother calling me Aboki for always buying those Philips brand radio sets and carrying them everywhere. I loved BBC presenters so much, especially Steven of "From Our Own Correspondents". It's been a long time I stopped being a dedicated listener , more than 20 years now. Just recently I returned, although occasionally, through Internet radio. Once in a blue moon. I listen only to RFI Afrique, because I am deepening my knowledge of French. For a year, I was struggling to master how to understand spoken French, watching all the videos on YouTube and following the stories on TV5 Monde, others ( I already have strong mastery of the grammar and can write effortlessly in French). But switching over to radio proved the most effective way to understand spoken French, for me. Within a month of doing that, I can understand any French accent, effortlessly. Radio helped shape me into what I am today. You can never link my accent to any of Nigeria's languages. It has some British tones to it, part American, just international accent, with spectacular grasp and command of the words. My vocabulary is also deep and rich. These days, I write a lot and read mostly written content. Barely have time for TVs too. Netflix also has its influence, especially when you have little time for leisure. |
What kind of death of is this? |

blackpanda:Well, Bleep u for being a lawyer |
blackpanda:If you are not a lawyer, you shut up. You don't understand how these things work. |

PETER OBI is the best man Nigeria needs now for the sake of young people and their frustrations with life in Nigeria. The man knows how to spread developments across all sectors simultaneously. He invested heavily in healthcare, education, Road construction and others as the governor of Anambra and brought in lots of investors to the state. Nigeria should do everything to support his Presidency. I am so sure he will bring about the cancelling of much of the debts of the country. This is the time for the South to rally round the South East, so that it wouldn't make the Southern Governor's Forum lose its momentum, at least for now. You may never have a chance at a better Nigerian Presidency than now. Personally, if Peter Obi fails to make it at the end of the day, I am definitely relocating out of this country because it means Nigeria may never get better again. How can such a man go the extra miles to prove his innocence and you are Still setting tougher barriers for him. The current president did not do half of these when he was campaigning to be President. |
