This your post reminds me of the fellow that likes to "jump out of the plane" ... PETERiCHY: FOOD 4 THOUGHT
Put a frog into a vessel fill with water and start heating the water.
As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly.
The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore.
At this point the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature.
Very soon the frog dies. What killed the frog? Think about it! I know many of us will say the boiling water.
But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out.
We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust & when we need to move on.
There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions.
If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so.
Let us decide when to jump! Let's jump while we still have the strength.

I believe DF is a settled matter albeit without a definite timeline. Speaking about DF will "unsettle and sway" the market especially when regulatory paperworks are already being processed...

The Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Dr Umaru Kwairanga, has disclosed that two companies in the Dangote Industries Group will be listed on the exchange soon. Kwairanga made this revelation on Tuesday during a closing-gong ceremony in honour of the Senate Committee on Capital Market and Institution’s visit to the NGX headquarters in Lagos. He said, “As at last week, the president of Dangote assured me that the Dangote Refinery is going to be listed on this market very soon. He also said that apart from the refinery, he is going to list the fertiliser company ( Dangote Fertiliser Limited). This is a commitment from the private sector... https://punchng.com/dangote-to-list-refinery-fertiliser-companies-ngx-group-chair/ |

Several people want to prove a point. However at the end of the day, everyone wants to make profit. The margin and method varies across board... I don't brag about strategies neither do I argue. I know what works for me and I am on the lookout for a better method... Coolcash1: I see hatred and big misconception a reflection of very shallow knowledge about TA all the time on this platform. Most people just lack the ability to combine the two skills to be a sophisticated investor. They don’t know that it is traders that create volatility in the market allowing investors to make money by buying low to enjoy high DY.
This is why when I see this needless and senseless attack on TA from ignorant people here I smile and move on. However, this time around I just felt I needed to address it. I know it’s normal for people to criticize something they don’t deeply understand. However, rather than do that why not just focus on what works for you and allow others too use what works for them.
See, as the saying goes, there are several ways to skin a cat and in market terms, there are different strategies for making money from the market. Whoever has chosen TA, sentiment analysis, fundamental analysis or even spiritual analysis (as mentioned here sometime ago by someone and was practically crucified) respect it, don’t try to discredit it and now projecting your own choice on people.
The Bottomline remains we are in the market 10am to 14:30pm a week to make MONEY!!!. Therefore, so long a person’s strategy is making him or her money in line with his or her objective, then no one, I repeat no one, gives a f^ck about which analysis is better!
Enough said. |

As your lordship pleases... Streetinvestor2: Oga go sit for one side.No carry your sense come my side.Your initially post was as e don pass make I keep quiet. Why didn't you say why WTH was deducted from the money. You want to teach me what is retained earnings. Did I tell you I am a carpenter .It was specified and people wr buying above #16 ,some even bought at #17.
The English was buying out minority shareholders by majority shareholders and subsequently delisting. Why didn't they just share the retained earnings and cash as special dividend long ago. Then later deliist after selling the remaining assets to pay us what ever it generates after taking care of liabilities
Gsk closed shop in nigeria because they are not straight and not the economy. I am sure they whr equally getting cheap dollars. |

It is NOT a fraud! All necessary information is available and may I remind you that dividend is literally the distribution of earnings. Now a PUBLIC company that is folding up will no longer be in business. This simply means that ALL the available funds (cash, sale of assets etc) will be distributed to SHAREHOLDERS (owners of he company). It's accounting naa. No be fight... Streetinvestor2: They labelled it dividend because that is the only way to legalise the fraud and defend the 10%WHT.Have you seen any company that delisted and has done that. And you feel as nigeria whr anything goes we should not ask questions. It was never a mistake tagging it dividend. It was infact tagged dividend no 48 payment. Do you realise they have set a new chapter for those planning to delist in future to now follow .This is the reason we must ask questions. Can gsk do this in thr parent country and it will be allowed. How about oando decides to delist and you receive an alert payment with this kind format on the #7 plus price |

I don't think we should pay too much attention to the credit narration. After all it's literally and financially impossible for GSK to pay that amount as dividend... For now they've been delisted... Streetinvestor2: Anyone with idea why gsk decided to tag the payment we received as dividend. Abi the government was involved to just collect tax from back door.I believe they have committed corporate fraud for an international company. I hope this is not the kind shady deals they have been doing which led them to close shop and people are pointing fingers to the economy. In thr parent country would they have tagged such payment as dividend. The money payed out was it profit from running the business .why label it dividend .I hate anything fraudulent. |

I believe the DangFoods merger is one of the causes of the delay in notifying the NGX of key dates as well as the release of the AFS. As expected there will be major shake up in the management structure, which will also be linked to the preparation of the books. As a reference, BUA Foods came to light about a month after the initial announcement.
One can only hope DF is listed in time... |
