I heard that matters that are still in court should not be discussed.i advised that we should stop discussing anything that concerns oando in our own interest because judgement is not coming anytime soon. grin

NASCON is April/May while DS is March...

Bimmms:
Pls when is Nascon next dividend qualification date ?
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 6:16pm On Feb 12, 2024
DS and NASCON paid 150k and 200k last year resp.
From the 2023 Q3 results, I don't think FX losses would affect either of them.
DS AFS is usually boosted by Q4 results...

For 2023 dv, I project at least 400k from NASCON and 180k from DS... grin

ndept:
DS result may not be that good compare to previous AFS due to foreign exchange loss. If at all DS will pay dividend, it may not be more than 50k. However, NASCON may pay not less than N1.50k dividend.

At the current price, Geregu is not a stock for a true investor; Geregu's stock price is not a true reflection of the dividend.Geregu is overpriced!

Geregu price is as a result of irrational exuberance (aka pumping).

Geregu's earnings per share is not proportional to the price of equity

The money you just referred to is in the coffers of the banks so I don't think it is causing any strain in the naira... grin

delvzy:
The money circulating out of the banking sector (~North of #2T) needs to find one way to bank either through stocks or another avenue.
People are hoarding too much which in its way is causing a strain on the Naira.

My Oga please don't take it to heart,we have never seen you in that light as she feels but rather you are trying to remind the doubting Thomas you warned them.

You are really appreciated for your wonderful contribution here that have guilded us to make good profits. don't take because of this one comment and place yourselve in a ghost mode as their gender are always like that. they can always find fault and where there is non they will create one. They are heavy loaded in Oando and bedsheet is not saying anything on it,thats is the reason for the attackgrin

You are all calculating your returns on investment, which should be primary focus of any investor. However, in finance, certain words/phrases are specifically defined and computed in specific ways. Na grammar. Main thing is how much you're making from how much you invested.😁 Planting. Harvesting. Sowing. Reaping.

You'll notice announcements of BM on the board. It is at this meeting that the UFS will be approved and released.
Until then, we wait... grin

I believe that there is more than enough funds to service both the equity markets and the discount instruments market.

After all we have bids that are yet to be matched to offers and we have people with cash waiting for suitable offers wink

For a few, 18/19% p.a. seems too irresistible to be overlooked... grin

Funds still entering the market despite the TB rate that many are shouting about.

DANGSUGAR for instance, if anyone follows the activities there yesterday, he'll notice that the more some investors probably in profit were selling, the more people were making use of the opportunity to buy.
- It went all the way to -10% at some point and quickly went back up to close @75+ again.
- Huge funds still entered GTCO, FBNH and some other stocks despite the sell off witnessed generally, and quite some stocks still gain at COB.
- Guess, this is the type of opportunity some bargainers mY have been waiting for.
- No one should see his/her own investment plan as the best at any given time.....if they go, they'll still rush back again.
- Each should follow what works best for him/herself.
- Anyone moving to TB, good luck to them. They shouldn't make those in the market look like they don't know what they're doing.

Thanks! Okay, so the price range is firm for the day and does not change until the next day when the range is determined again by the same calucation. Essentially, what's the reason, is it to prevent price movements above 10% on the daily?
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 1:51pm On Feb 07, 2024
Acceptable Price range is +10%/-10% of daily opening price.

In this case, its 0.73 to 0.89... grin

PuristForest:
Quick question guys, who sets the prices in the online platforms, sometimes it can be frustrating when you want to set a limit order at a certain price and you get the message "price is out of range". Is there a time when the prices are opened up and set daily, what determines the tradeable range? Sometimes, i feel that there's a racket in the process......

PETERiCHY:
FOOD 4 THOUGHT cool

Put a frog into a vessel fill with water and start heating the water.

As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly.

The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore.

At this point the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature.

Very soon the frog dies.
What killed the frog?
Think about it!
I know many of us will say the boiling water.

But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out.

We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust & when we need to move on.

There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions.

If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so.

Let us decide when to jump!
Let's jump while we still have the strength.
