Considering the hype about Lekki as hotcake destination for real estate investment, the presence of an oil refinery creates jobs and brings rapid development to surrounding communities. However, Lagos is still having traffic issues with Apapa sea port and it's beyond the control of Presidency. Will Apapa trucks disappear with the arrival of Lagos to Ibadan railway? Will Dangote oil tankers make Lekki unattractive? Will FG compel Dangote to use only shipping routes (Lekki to Apapa, Warri and Calabar)? But Dangote Group Executive Director Devakumar Edwin told an OTL (Oil Trading and Logistics) Expo in Lagos that fuels would go via “shuttle” boats to Nigerian cities Warri and Calabar, and that other deliveries would go in trucks. https://in.reuters.com/article/us-nigeria-oil-dangote-idINKBN1X824I |
uuzba:I understand the angle you're coming from. Maybe the private school owners collected loan from the bank. However, the proprietors want to quickly recoup their investments. It is even worrisome that some private schools also engage in exam malpractice for external exams. Advertisement strategy to get more students for next session. Atimes, high tuition fees does not necessarily mean high quality education. To avoid future strikes, If ASUU & FG transfer the burden on parents/students by increasing school fees exponentially, most of us here will complain, while we are quick to defend the fees collected by some private schools. |
dhope:Very true! |
hector:I cannot teach more than one subject as done in public schools. It is ridiculous to see job descriptions like teaching 2 to 3 subjects. That is exploitation and nothing else. |
flourishing247:Elite class private schools. |
Bola146:Such phrase does not befit the educational sector. Poorly motivated teachers will get easily distracted by side jobs. I thought private schools were setup to improve standard of education due to decaying status of public schools. Seems most private schools have turn to money making ventures by proprietors. |
parkervero:Hmmmmmmm. That is really serious. The unemployment issue is making job seekers to settle for less. |
steviano:I will try their email contact.

steviano:The 12.5% monthly return for 12 months equals 150%. However, if investment in export financing attracts 50% profit in 4 months. Then, the 150% profit above for 12 months is logical under fixed savings. Hmmmmmmmm..The profits are enticing but no harm in trying. |
No more fuel subsidy. Why are Nigerians complaining? Expect further increase in PMS price if crude oil price rises further above $43. Not sure anything will change with DG Refinery. |

For the record, PMB didn't personally promise restructuring/true federalism during the 2015/2019 elections. For the record, Southwest APC leaders deceived their people about restructuring in APC manifesto just to get votes. |
