PropertiesWill Dangote Oil Tankers Make Lekki Unattractive? by Katlyst(op): 2:01am On Dec 14, 2020
Considering the hype about Lekki as hotcake destination for real estate investment,
the presence of an oil refinery creates jobs and brings rapid development to surrounding communities. However, Lagos is still having traffic issues with Apapa sea port and it's beyond the control of Presidency.

Will Apapa trucks disappear with the arrival of Lagos to Ibadan railway?
Will Dangote oil tankers make Lekki unattractive?
Will FG compel Dangote to use only shipping routes (Lekki to Apapa, Warri and Calabar)?

But Dangote Group Executive Director Devakumar Edwin told an OTL (Oil Trading and Logistics) Expo in Lagos that fuels would go via “shuttle” boats to Nigerian cities Warri and Calabar, and that other deliveries would go in trucks.

Then you know the best solution na... Form your own private school by yourself.
Or form your own personal business and stop complaining or managing another person's own.
I understand the angle you're coming from.
Maybe the private school owners collected loan from the bank.
However, the proprietors want to quickly recoup their investments.
It is even worrisome that some private schools also engage in exam malpractice for external exams. Advertisement strategy to get more students for next session.
Atimes, high tuition fees does not necessarily mean high quality education.

To avoid future strikes, If ASUU & FG transfer the burden on parents/students by increasing school fees exponentially, most of us here will complain, while we are quick to defend the fees collected by some private schools.

How many private school proprietors pay good salary? Infact that job is more than worst collar job but I won't blame them because there's no regulation hence everyone takes advantage to enslave others. There's no crime in opening private school but minimum standard similar to those paying well should be set by govt agency so that both employer and employee will be happy at the end but the case in this zoo country is different, NOTHING is regulated because of corruption. Nepa/Ibedc is doing his own in one corner, mtn/glo and co are doing their's, DStv and co are doing their's too, so also these wicked school proprietors.
Very true!

It is no longer news that most private schools in Nigeria do not pay their teachers good salary. Most graduates who have taught in private schools complain that the renumeration is very poor.

Access to reasonable industry experience or career development is almost non existent in private schools except for those who want to remain in the teaching line.

So for instance, as an engineering graduate, you can't gather any industry experience while teaching that will be beneficial to you in your future career in engineering.

These are my thoughts. You can add yours. What do you think??
I cannot teach more than one subject as done in public schools.
It is ridiculous to see job descriptions like teaching 2 to 3 subjects.
That is exploitation and nothing else.

angry No but half bread is better than none
Such phrase does not befit the educational sector.
Poorly motivated teachers will get easily distracted by side jobs.
I thought private schools were setup to improve standard of education
due to decaying status of public schools.
Seems most private schools have turn to money making ventures by proprietors.

Please give a proper breakdown...

If one invest 100k with them how much will one get in return

And if one fixed 100k in saving with them how much will get in return and when can one get his main capital back... When it comes to fixed savings?
The 12.5% monthly return for 12 months equals 150%.
However, if investment in export financing attracts 50% profit in 4 months.
Then, the 150% profit above for 12 months is logical under fixed savings.
Hmmmmmmmm..The profits are enticing but no harm in trying.

No more fuel subsidy.
Why are Nigerians complaining?
Expect further increase in PMS price
if crude oil price rises further above $43.
Not sure anything will change with DG Refinery.

This looks good. It will certainly not be easy but it is doable! The youth must come together as one regardless of tribe, religion, ethnicity, faith, status and class. It is my sincere prayer that this new movement will give birth to the Nigeria of our dreams. Peace and love from Ambassador Kehinde Tawede.
