Dude u dont make reference to a section of the constitution and leave it at that, he should rather have said the constitution provides for so and so and be done with not naming sections and articles and leaving them vague. Its not right.

The court is not a factory that manufactures cases but only adjudicates on matters brought before it.

Let me illustrate: assuming you saw the mob hitting a person under the very eyes of the police or other law enforcement agents who apparently did nothing to stop the attack.
Do you now dish out your own blows just because others did same and went scot-free?

Let's assume thaat the victim recognised you and took you to court, would it be a defence for you that others did same and were not punished?

The court will convict you on the merit of the fact that you committed a/an offence/ malfeasance and would care less that your victim did not indict or chose to ignore others who committed the same offence like you.

Whether every lawmaker in Nigeria has defected to another party will not be the court's business if the injured party/parties did not seek redress in the court. The court only considers cases presented before it so the allusion that others have been doing same but apparently escaped censure is not only naïve but lame.

this is not a court case my question is why did the I.G chose to overlook other cross carpeters like Gov Mimiko or even Hon uche Ekwunife in the same house of reps and tackle the speaker? Whether u agree or not there is a political undertone to that move thats all am saying

It has emerged that there is no law mandating the speaker to come from the majority party as we do not run a parliamentary system of government. It has only been so cos the majority has the power of numbers on thier side and so had the upper hand in electing thier leaders.
