RvP acted the way he did to escape the wrath of the fans, he had to show the world he has a good reason for wanting to leave, unfortunately it seems the fans are divided 50:50 on whether his move was right or 'classless'.

I'm indifferent about the way he did it, It will be sad to see him leave but I wont blame him, I'm angry with Wenger and I hope they give us all 12:45 fixtures all season angry sad.

"to them its business and to the fans its passion"
If the club makes so much money from the fans, then they should be ready to give them something in return and 99.9% of fans will rather see Arsenal win a trophy than post ridiculous profits. No one pays a premium for heart-breaks.

About 2 seasons ago RvP blasted Chelsea and ManCity, saying that they spent a lot of money and Arsenal was still ahead of them on the table, this was around March and we were title contenders (2nd position). They both eventually finished above Arsenal that season and have won 2 trophies each since then. Rvp @ that time believed in the club's approach but now its dawned on him and he's lost faith, the formula has to be changed.

It makes no sense if he scores 2 goals in a game and a crappy defence ships in 3 at the other end. Im not saying he does his job 100% in all games but buying players will also keep him in check, when he's not performing well he should be substituted too.

Has Mourinho called Wenger yet ?

RvP is playing hardball with Arsenal, the ball is in Arsenal-Wenger's court now and it's up to them to decide to either cash in or let him run down his contract and leave for nothing nxt summer. They have options to choose from:

- Get him the players he and all Arsenal fans have been crying for - this sends out a strong message of ambition to the younger players and other clubs who now see Arsenal as a feeder team for 'bigger' and more ambitious teams.

- Sell him off and leave Walcott, Wilshere and other players feeling like a flock of lost sheep who will eventually lose faith in the club; and tell other clubs that we are indeed, an academy for grooming and selling off players when they ripen.

- Let him see out his contract without meeting his/our demands - then may God help us win a teacup next season or he leaves tongue and others follow.

Its Wenger's and the board's decision to make now.

@proudly, we cannot afford to pull that ManCity stunt considering the size and quality of our squad compared to theirs. With RvP on the bench, all parties lose, he doesn't play, we don't get service from him and @ d end of the season , he leaves for nothing.

azpekuliar: Thats a nice playlist you got on there. A few comments... I think he was still Puff Daddy then... smiley. 'Favour for a favour' is one of my best songs from 'I am'. Matter of fact I hardly use the skip button when listening to that album. Aha! 'Pushing Weights', vintage Cube from 'Peace or War'. I prefer 'Peace' disc though. Recall the 'Til we rich' song with Krayzie Bone? Black Rob's a one-hit-wonder, but a hit that was. Other tracks are lovely too, more on 'em lerra.

Another summer of "destroy and re-build the team". SMH for Wenger and Ivan

In a related development, Arsenal's Nigerian trip has been 'reluctantly' postponed; to put it bluntly, "cancelled"

SportsArsenal Postpone Pre-season Game In Nigeria by KayDee4(op): 7:38pm On Jul 05, 2012
Arsenal Football Club has announced it is reluctantly postponing its proposed trip to Nigeria this summer.

The Club has taken the decision as a result of complexities linked to the planned game against Nigeria on Saturday, August 5 in Abuja.

Arsenal marketing director Angus Kinnear said: "Bringing a top-level club to an international market is always complicated and logistically challenging. With the proposed match in Nigeria planned for early August, we could not get comfortable on everything needed to satisfy our requirements, so we have reluctantly taken the decision to postpone the team’s visit."

Kinnear continued: “We have a huge and loyal following in Africa, and we are sorry that the team will not be visiting this summer. However, we have a long-term commitment to Nigeria and we are already making plans for a visit next summer.

"In addition, we also have some exciting forthcoming activities planned with our commercial partners in Nigeria - Emirates, Airtel and Malta Guinness, which will kick off in the next few weeks.”

Emirates are the presenting partner of the Arsenal 2012 Tour and Boutros Boutros, divisional senior vice-president of corporate communications said: “Emirates shares Arsenal’s disappointment that the team’s visit to Nigeria has been postponed. We look forward to working with Arsenal to bring the Club closer to its loyal Nigerian fans through new initiatives over the coming months.”

All further updates on Arsenal’s future activities in Nigeria will be communicated on www.Arsenal.com.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Robin Van Persie Will Not Extend Arsenal Deal by KayDee4: 12:00pm On Jul 05, 2012
Let me tel you the bitter truth, i bet you and pls go and write today's date down. Arsenal will have a year to prove he’s wrong leaving!
Robin Van Persie will never leave Arsenal. If u're not an illiterate too or bias, it's a common sense now. Ok, tell me, where is he gonna go? You dont know anytin.
He knows himself that Arsenal is too big to depend on a player !
I bet u, at the end of the reason,we win a trophy,he will definitely put pen to paper.
Wenger has already said this in an interview, that people forget that Robin has one more year in his contract and he WILL be an Arsenal player next season…..

Now listen very carefully, Robin Van Persie will definitely sign a new contract with Arsenal. This will be the case because a lot of the speculation surrounding whether he will stay or not is based on qualitative data. According to the media Van Persie said that Arsenal have to prove that they want to challenge for trophies. That is a criteria that is immeasurable. How can you prove something like this? By spending 100 million? By buying more and more players that may or may not play well? By changing staff? By doing a pinkie swear?

This is more of a gambit on Van Persie’s side just to get the club into shape and make some people sweat. It reminds me of Rooney a few years back threatening to leave MU until he got assurances they would strengthen the club (and a big pay rise).

Illiterates, don't reply to this, instead go back to school pls....

THIS IS COMMON SENSE NOW. Haba !!!
Many people are just Illiterate. Robin Van Persie is not leaving Arsenal rightaway. There is a significant different between not renewing contract. my point is ROBIN VAN PERSIE still have One year left to spend with arsenal, and i'm 100% sure that he will still change his mind to renew his contract. He is not the first Arsenal Player that will say this, and not even the first player to say this. Many players have threatened by saying this so that their manager will buy the players they want, but they always end up renewing their contract.

Most of u are just illiterates....

Hmmmm, ur'e 100% sure ? ? undecided undecided He still has one year, right and so did Nasri last season, but will Arsenal allow him see out the final year of his contract and leave on a bosman transfer nxt summer ? Not likely, they'll prolly wanna cash in. Even before today's public statement, it was almost certain he was leaving, the statement only takes him closer to the door and diminishes any hopes of an extension arsenal fans previously haboured and that's the cause of the sad and depressing comments. So my friend, it is not out of illiteracy.

Foreign AffairsRe: Anderson Cooper Admits That He's Gay by KayDee4: 8:14pm On Jul 02, 2012
pufectskin: You talk as though homosexuality is learned behaviour or passed down by parents. You forget that most homosexuals are offsprings of heterosexual couples. Just because that boy has homo parents doesn't mean he ll become gay too. It is not a choice to be gay; if he is attracted to women, he is attracted to women. The fact that he thinks ppl should be free to be who dey r and his parents r homos doesn't mean he'll become homo. Get it right!
Nope, I didnt say with certitude that "he will become gay" , I used "probably" and "most likely"
Foreign AffairsRe: Anderson Cooper Admits That He's Gay by KayDee4:
There's no "addition". They're just ppl born, people who chose A SEXUALITY. They're not originally str8 kan kan, they've been hiding in the closet, emotionally fighting it.

Historically, we've had homosexuals, even in the pharaoh's palace.

It's like saying the number of heterosexuals are increasing.
Its meaningless to say the number of heterosexuals (normal population) is increasing because heterosexuality is the default mode as i know it and that's how people are born. Homo' is an anomaly, or are you saying all homos are natural born homos ? Its more like, they chose to defy nature. So for every homo, it is "-1 from the normal population (which is by default, heterosexual)" and "+1 to the anomaly (the homos)" and the homo population increases.
Foreign AffairsRe: Anderson Cooper Admits That He's Gay by KayDee4: 7:55pm On Jul 02, 2012
How exactly does his view equate to incrementation in homosexuals?

You only supported omo to dun's post by implying that people are more open-minded and more likely to display their sexuality in public places. Just because they keep "it" hidden does not imply that there are low numbers of them. The number of homosexualities is not "increasing" persay, these ppl are already homosexuals emotionally, but just forbidden to physically display it.
Nope, I mean . . . it is increasing by addition of new entrants. Like the lil boy I mentioned who may be originally straight (or destined to be straight) but now thinks it is okay to hit the other side because his parents are homos. Now thats +1 to the gay population, whether or not he's in the closet or openly gay.
Foreign AffairsRe: Anderson Cooper Admits That He's Gay by KayDee4: 7:36pm On Jul 02, 2012
The percentage of openly gay folks is increasing simply because they are coming out of the closet. This does not imply that the total population of gays is increasing. In more oppressive societies, there may be no openly gays, but this does not imply that there are none.
eventually the population will increase, more and more people are getting indoctrinated. When gay marriage was legalised in New York early this year, I saw 2 female couples (lesbos) and their lil kid of about 6 years and when the kid was interviewed about his view on it, he was quick to say that people should be free to marry anyone they love, male or female, and blah blah blah. That kid will prolly (most likely) grow up chasing after boys like himself and just imagine a whole new generation with that kind of mindset. Its scary to think of a future with so many disoriented people. undecided undecided

Good thing for Torres, amazing turnaround in fortunes for him (UCL, FA and Euro Cup), I was one of those that labelled him 'useless' because at one point in the season (or throughout the season), it looked like someone from Mersey side put a hex on him.
