HumbledbYGrace: Every Judge chooses 1 story from the 15 stories we have- clear?

8 people with highest scores automatically makes it to the finals.

From the 7 left out, we choose 4, with the highest score.

The remaining three are out totally!

The selected four will each write another short story.

Then the public will vote for their best story from those four stories, the 2 with the highest votes will make it to the final round, join the 8, to make it ten, then we do the proper final round as planned.

IMHO, I feel we cutting it to five is too sudden. Like I told Mazi, why not cut it to 8? Then have those 8 drop another set of short stories.

Then those 8 would be shortened to another 4. These 4 would be the finalists.

Then they would compete for the prize.

This would show which writer has consistency, hard work and passion for writing.

I am a very peace loving NLnder and I have NO HISTORY of face offs or reprimands. The only time I was banned was by a spam bot. I do not have time for banters and counter arguments. I honestly did not want to say anything all this while. But at this juncture, I think I just should comment.

Edit comments? What for? Whoever has dropped his story has DROPPED his story!

If you don't have what it takes, even if Wole Soyinka himself was to guide you, you would still fall below par.

Now, I personally don't see anything wrong with dropping observations after each submission. Do these writers have the same thoughts? Are they writing the same storyline? Are they under the same genre? Commenting on a writer's submission does not give the other competitors who are yet to submit ANY EDGE over others. It only makes it worse for them because I WILL COME HARD on every new entry henceforth.

Believe me, we will ALWAYS find something to critique in every work submitted because there are 8 different Unique judges.

So, let the competition continue!

Good story. Read every word. You really did a good job. However, your dialogue was poor. No quotation marks, inadequate punctuation and you almost scattered my line of thought, especially when the guardian accosted you when you were washing.

Try and deliver your thoughts instead of putting them in brackets.
And make your story FLOW with ease. Like Repo mentioned, it seemed like you wrote this in a hurry.

It felt like you were writing against time so you had to ramble through.

But believe me, it's a good piece.

U didn't say what happened to Eva's stuff in d room b4 d pool diving scene. She had to have carried a bag of some sort where she kept her swim wear which she changed into to dive. What about d clothes she wore and all that? Did she leave them in d room?

I didn't say ma, because its coming in today's update. But I would clarify here. She wore a gown which she left in the hotel room. And carried only a purse which had jst the lipstick and the small syringe. She dived with her bra and pant. I mentioned it in the update. But stay tuned. Your questions would be answered at 8pm.

Your power of description is mindblowing. Your literary prowess is outstanding.

However, to be honest with you, I found myself scanning through most of the text till I got to the end.

You showed extreme grasp of literature, but could not well communicate with me. I got lost as I repeatedly asked myself what the message of the story was.

At one point, you sounded like Patrick Obiahiagbon who speaks good english but doesn't communicate.

You are very good Miss Fibre, but I think you should try to communicate more. Your work should appeal to all kinds of people, not just the literary grounded.
