[10 Minutes read]- President Tinubu once said - "If I don't improve Electricity, don't vote for me". The word of President Tinubu are positive but when marked by existing corruption, bad political structure and an existing survival culture - the leader who means well will turn out to be a liar. Insecurity, poor electricity, Inflation and the wobbling economy are the problems President Tinubu is currently addressing - but the lightening-speed the citizens expect is the main issue. Regardless of what people think of President Tinubu, the President is fixing the current problems: *INFLATION: The President has implemented policies through the Central Bank of Nigeria to reduce prices of goods and services and has regulated the Naira and Dollar. *REVENUE GENERATION: The President has implemented a policy that will increase revenue generation through taxes for development. He's also inviting foreign investors to grow the economy. *PETROL SUBSIDY: The President implemented the removal of subsidy to reduce debt and has also regulated the petrol price to a reasonable extent. The above achievements of President Tinubu may look theoretical than realistic because citizens quantify achievements: To understand the logic of governance - I would illustrate it with a Sky-Scraper construction: 1. You need a plan. 2. You need a team of engineers. 3. You need a 5-10 year timeline. 4. You need adequate funding. If a Sky Scraper project is possible for completion in a year, then a President can also fix Nigeria's problems in one year - but that's not feasible - Nigeria is a gigantic engine yet to be completed. President Tinubu overseas more than 10 Ministries and Departments with millions of civil servants working in them like Engineers just to grind and make Nigeria's engine work. The completion of the Nigerian engine is approximately a 100-year project which require a chain of progressive leadership over that period. America was not built by a single American President but by the efforts of many Presidents overtime. The same applies to Nigeria - Babangida built, Abacha built, Obasanjo built, Jonathan built, Buhari built and Tinubu is continuing to build. We must appreciate the mutiple and complex engine parts and wires that make up the gigantic engine called Nigeria. Each engine piece is finely assembled by a team of engineers (civil servants) and supervised by Supervisors (ministers) to ensure a smooth construction of the engine. This is the complex engine, President Tinubu is building by ruling over: * 36 states. *200million people. *800,000 LGAs nationwide. The gigantic engine construction doesn't go without difficulties such as: *Poor revenue generation. *Corrupt civil service. These factors contribute to the duration of the Nigerian engine's construction - one Leader nor one administration can do this alone. If the owners of the project (Nigerian citizens) don't fund the project adequately through taxes, the project will be stalled. If the engineers building the Nigerian engine (civil servants) sabotage the Nigerian engine, the project will be stalled as well. Given the current structure of the government, the President is only working with taxes from less than 30% of the population (Approx.) - so the govenment creates multiple taxes through different mediums to capture those who don't pay taxes. If taxes remain insufficient for development (construction), the govenment have no choice than to solicit World bank/IMF loans to fill the gap. When the government tries to fill the 70% tax gap by enforcing tax payments, defaulting citizens and the corrupt civil service disrupt the recovery of these taxes. That is why President Tinubu initiated a tax reform that will be harmonious and quite efficient. These are the big issues President Tinubu deals with in his administration - even if you recommend prosecution of offenders to the President, it's still the offenders (civil service) that will let the offenders (Citizens) get away. After 4 years, there's no guarantee that this gigantic engine will be completed and it would have to be passed onto the next administration. Nigeria is not necessarily a Tinubu project - but rather an existing Nigerian project that requires long-term construction. So if Tinubu doesn't solve Nigeria's problem in 8-years, he's not mandated to - rather he's meant to be part of the legacy group of Leaders that built the country over many years. Tinubu in the reign, continues to build the Nigerian engine with new and existing policies amidst wide-spread corruption, current political structure and an "incomplete project status" Nigeria currently bears. A former minister once said - "Nigerians don't appreciate their Leaders until they leave office". So forgive Tinubu if he made you an absolute promise. What he truly means for Nigeria is - "slow and steady growth". "Just like a plant that grows from a seedling to a big plant without you ever knowing - no matter how long you stay there watching it - you can never see it grow unless you leave it for a month and come back to see how big it has become." ### |
Can you see that you're not a good ambassador for the Obidients? You gave me an instruction to show you a link that proves INEC's transmission failure claims and i obeyed. I also gave you a simple instruction asking you to give me a link to counter my own proof........ It's been more than 12 hours and you have not submitted any counter evidence. Does this mean you hate reality? Does this mean mean you're afraid of my facts? Or does this mean you ran away...........? Are you indirectly displaying what Peter Obi would do in 2027? MEGAWATCH: |
Well maybe you're right. Peter Obi is a competent man with integrity. He's very humble that he flies commercial airlines. He's has integrity like a clean book to a point that he has no secrets to hide. To be frank with you - he should be given an opportunity to rule this country for 6 months before election like a mock exam. I'm quite sure petrol will become N87.00k under his administration. He will turn the whole of Nigeria to Anambra state exactly the same way he left the state. He will make sure civil servants earn N250,000 a month as salary. He will remove road touts that extort money from the streets - he will reduce taxes - and he will stop taxing the poor - and he will make Nigeria save more money - and he won't take any loans from world bank or IMF - and he will still build roads and refineries. Even in 1-4 years, the competent Peter Obi can do all these. It will be such an honour to not see bottles being thrown at him. DatNiggaDaz: |
To make your job simple - here's the link to prove INEC's reason for transmission failures: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/671063-inec-gives-details-of-irev-failure-during-2023-presidential-election.html?tztc=1 I await your defence-response with a credible link as well just as I did. I have written epistles on Tinubu before. But given this season, it's Peter Obi's turn - but if you want me to write on Tinubu (which i will probably do tomorrow) , then i will. The repetition of fear you keep "highlighting " is becoming uncreative. If you're not creative enough to analyse Peter Obi, then how creative can you all get in getting him to win the election this time. So, this thread is about Peter Obi's strength and weaknesses. This is a voluntary post (not a data paid post) to dehumanize Obi, but rather to save him from defeat. And the worst part - we all don't want obidients to go on an internet exile in 2027 after elections. DatNiggaDaz: |
Actually, INEC's bvas failure excuse exist on the internet because it's real. But obidient's reasons exist on the internet abstractly. Almost like saying their reasons don't exist. I find obidients to be terrible readers and fantastic watchers. You can never be well rounded in knowledge if you don't learn to read. All you will ever make from your current capacities is to break insultive words on people's heads like bottles. MEGAWATCH: |
I've said this once - there's nothing to be afraid of concerning Peter Obi. The only thing to be afraid of is the unknown. Nigerians don't believe in Peter Obi - they only believe in their bellies - Obi is just an option for them to feed their bellies. Those who voted him before were looking and hoping for a better Nigeria - not like they really cared about him. DatNiggaDaz: |
You can check your most immediate google for the links. If INEC gave a reason for election glitches, then that's their reason - not yours. Your reason may be valid in cases where INEC personnel compromised, but to generalise your reason for the entire country's election failure is the logical error. MEGAWATCH: |
I have noticed a pattern with Obidients .... They always use emotions, pockets of victory and lower numbers to validate their candidate. No new discoveries nor new tactics - just repetition. And when they run out of words or bullets , you hear "why are you afraid?" Or "Go and sleep " or they simply attack the Batified. Prove the worth of your candidate with current facts and not with imagination or "wait and sees". Maybe this will end the entire argument... DatNiggaDaz: |
INEC through Mahmood Yakub made it clear that the server was overwhelmed by simultaneous uploadings nationwide. Whether the INEC chairman is Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo, what's paramount is for the Chairman to ensure a credible election is conducted. True to sentiments that the current INEC chair is Yoruba and may have a soft spot for a Yoruba candidate - but who would your preferred INEC chair have a soft spot for? MEGAWATCH: |
You can't do Nigerian politics without the Hausa man. Burob: |
I prefer the typewriter to a computer. No need for battery, fuel or electricity. Maybe INEC should bring in typewriters for result typing. Typewriters are scarce for riggers. |
These are indicators to show Tinubu is working. It's worth it if Tinubu is getting paid his salary with allowances - because he's working and he deserves it. Obidients don't talk about these improvements because they have a "Winner Mentality Always" problem. |
Peter Obi will do pumping machine services for the ADC. He will bring in obidients to increase ADC's database of members and also bring in obidients that will donate funds to the party. And then, ADC will use the same funds to take care of alleged ATIKU/MAKINDE campaign. |
The only reality that will hit Nigerians is if there's strong mobilisation for Peter Obi nationwide just as it was done in Lagos for him. If the above happens - and he wins, then we should imagine how he will fix the country's electricity with a "stingy federal budget" - (I didn't name him stingy - people say it) To be frank with you, Peter Obi and his campaign organisation should save their insufficient funds for the elections and divert them to schools and churches like he always does. That's if charity too is not another agenda... DatNiggaDaz: |
No one is crying over a 3rd place-holder - absolutely not. What I'm trying to do is neutralize the obidients with objective facts. It's funny to still praise and push for a small transportation bus (popularly called Korope in Lagos) to do a Need For Speed Race with Range Rovers and Landcruisers on Lekki-Epe Expressway. That's where Nigerians have a problem with you... DatNiggaDaz: |
Peter Obi's win in Lagos is what i call a CONSCIOUS AND DELIBERATE EFFORT, not a natural one. It's like increasing the power of a generator that is supplying electricity to a house at medium current by default - so you need to consciously and deliberately increase its capacity. This was the case with Peter Obi's result in Lagos. So Tinubu shouldn't be moved by the Gold (losing Lagos) when he has got the platinum (Nigeria and FCT). MEGAWATCH: |
To be honest with you...no fears! Obi has shown us what he's made of already - so what's next to be afraid of really. What we should be most worried about is Peter Obi's true feelings - is he scared or is he misguided or over-motivated? Or are you disciples leading him on to a 2nd heartbreak? DatNiggaDaz: |
I don't wish Atiku to be the flagbearer of the ADC - it's most likely to be the case. The aspect of North and South sentiment, is the current trap in the ADC. But as it is right now, there's no solid southerner in the ADC right now. So, they have no choice than to break the regional rule moving forward. Amumaigwe: |
Peter Obi feels like fear - but the feeling is actually gas. And since he has used 70% of it in 2023, we doubt that fear will last now that he needs it. Dalohad: |
We're trying to leave Peter Obi alone but the stop-button is not working. Maybe when the ADC primary election holds and when Obi likely falls out, we will free him. So kindly bear with the problem just as others are bearing with your chicago certificate allegation. Validated: |
I would suggest he earns that slot than beg for it. It's much easier that way. ChukwuObe: |
I don't think Peter Obi will last more than 3 rounds. He may tell the referee he wants to use the toilet. angelboy01: |
The official announcement by Peter Obi to run an independent race will be a preliminary bomb to his entire agenda. The wise ones would say "don't run faster than your shadow" - whether he's following bad advice or advising himself, we don't know. In little time, the ADC will conduct it's primary election and this will be the starting point for the contenders. There's a likelihood Peter Obi will be up against Atiku Abubakar, El Rufai, Rotimi Amaechi and others. Already, some of these contenders are creating tractions for themselves. The only legacy Peter Obi currently has against these contenders is a Bronze Medal of 2023 election win - nothing more. From the body language of the contenders like Atiku Abubakar and El Rufai, one can read high confidence. Peter Obi on the other hand seems fragile and controlled. The lessons Peter Obi ought to learn is the "lessons of strategic followership" and not the "lessons of getting beaten twice". Currently in the ADC, if we're to go by the statistics of the last election, it would be "psycho" to put a 3rd Leg as a front runner for the ADC. Common sense would inform you to put the 2nd Leg (Atiku) as the front runner and main ticket holder. Peter Obi is a pumping machine; Atiku is the reservoir of power and resources. Peter Obi should be an assistant who "compliments" rather than "attracts". If Peter Obi proceeds with his independent mission, he may end as a Jonah in the Shark's mouth. This is a subjective view of the puzzle if we must put the pieces together. |
In marketing, Advertising and Politics - lies make sales. If a Poliitican lie during a campaign - it is marketing. I don't imply INEC or the lawmaker lied - but often, their words are categorized as PR stunts. INEC saying they have the capacity for transmission are being optimistic. But no one sees the future in clear pictures - they can only hope for it with planning. I want the nation to make progress - but only if we have a population that is less of a typical Nigerian and more of a reformed Nigerian - that is when Nigeria will be ripe for electronic transmission. I hope I've been able to fool you with my smart reply... Linzo: |
While everyone is busy shouting about "IReV" and "Electronic Transmission," we are collectively ignoring the elephant in the room. Whether the results are sent by carrier pigeon or high-speed satellite, the outcome remains the same because the foundation is broken. It is time to stop the emotional outbursts and face the mathematical reality of Nigerian elections. If you are a "Obidient" or an "Atikulate" fan waiting for a server to grant you victory, you have already lost. The Process is a Smoke Screen: The energy spent debating the method of distribution—paper vs. digital—is wasted. In a system where the "Nigerian Factor" exists, controversy is a feature, not a bug. Even if we use Blockchain today, one side will still claim the "chain" was tampered with. We are fighting over the envelope instead of the letter. The Culture of Corruption vs. Technology: Nigeria has not reached the level of institutional integrity where technology can override human greed. Our "corrupt culture" makes adherence to laws unrealistic. Technology only works when the humans operating it have a "Vanguard" sense of duty. Currently, we have a "Commercial" mindset running a "Digital" process. It will always fail. The "Shock Therapy" Solution: Reduce the Voters If you want real-time, uninterrupted transmission that cannot be manipulated, we must face the infrastructure gap. Nigeria cannot accurately capture and transmit 30 million+ votes across rural areas without "glitches." My Recommendation: For 2027, we should strategically cap the registered voter base to 15 million high-quality, verified voters representing the nation’s demographics. Why? It is easier to secure, transmit, and audit 15 million data points than 30 million. The Reality: It is better to have 15 million votes that are 100% transparent than 80 million registered names where 50% are ghost votes and the transmission fails. Conclusion: Accept the system for what it is or change the scale. Protests on X (formerly Twitter) and Nairaland arguments are just noise. We need a "Total System Reset," not just a new app on an INEC tablet. What do you think? Are we ready for the truth, or do we prefer the comfort of our delusions? |
Realistic point. There will always be a shortcut for everything; even for legal documents like EC8A and IReV transcripts. That's why the law is simplifying and trying to simplify a complex matter like the Nigerian Election. Neyozy1: |
In such case, the results should be nullified. But If the results have insignificant errors like a 5%-10% mismatch, such errors or mismatch should be "ignored" to save the majority of accurate results. mrvitalis: |
Certainly! Papers are more reliable for election results. A database can be wiped out in minutes too. Papers can still be salvaged. Nevertheless, both methods have red flags but the country has to conduct an election regardless... It has to have trust in something. duro4chang: |
(CANDID OPINION - The purpose of getting the numbers across to INEC Headquarters, is to file them and present them as final results but a lot of energy is spent on the process because of past experiences. Truth be told that even with either method of distribution, there will still be one controversy to another. What's the solution? NONE for now! To satisfy both sides of the argument, let there be transmission of results real-time and paper transfer of results when necessary. The reason I say this is because: Nigeria hasn't developed to a stage where we can be fully confident with either method. Aside that, the citizens are used to a corrupt culture that makes cooperation and adherence to laws almost unrealistic. The settling fact that should lay this matter to rest is "accepting the system for what it is". Protests and online arguments won't change the current framework that holds Nigeria yet. But of course; if you prefer real-time transfer of election results then this is what i recommend as last resort: Given the facts of Nigerian attitudes, poor infrastructure and high population - the population of voters for 2026/2027 election should be reduced to an accommodating figure for an uninterrupted transmission of results. So instead of 30 million voters, the system should have 15 million voters registered to represent the total view of the nation. ### |
I believe that's your school of thought and it's valid. aswani: |
This would have been considered a medical situation - but no - it's just a psychological one. But first... "Obidients are the students that sit at the back of the class, making a noise, gossiping while the teacher is teaching - and the Batified are the students that sit in front of the class attentively, learning from the teacher." The above captioned quote simply means: when Obidients are busy ranting in a directionless manner, the Batified are focused on the ball and learning from the masters. When you try to educate Obidients on political matters, they turn it into a religious war like - ALL MY ENEMIES, FALL AND DIE!!...FALL AND DIE.... Even If you make it clear to them, that it has nothing to do with the devil - they still reach for the anoiting oil to cast you out of their sight before they get angry - only when you just want to teach them how practical life is - and not the way they see it. The REASONS WHY Obidients hallucinate is: 1. MOST WERE BORN AFTER HISTORY: Most or some Obidients are GenZs who were not born during the military rule - so therefore, they lack the lived-experience of the military regime to give good judgements about political systems. 2. PEER PRESSURE EFFECT: Some Obidients like to clout chase and copy what's trending amongst them - that's why they follow themselves blindly like an ''aeroplane" that has lost connection with the control tower. 3. THEY ARE ANGRY: A likely reason - Obidients are disappointed that their candidate didn't win 2023 election - and the most 'convenient' thing to say is that - their candidate was cheated out. Given that, when you bring Obidients back into the physical realm to learn mathematics - they stubbornly still go back up into the spiritual realm, "hallucinating" - So the question is, how do they learn? Do we go up and join them - and pretend that magic will happen - or do we stay down here in reality and let them be? Some will say - "experience will teach them". |
