Respectfully sir, as the first child of aged parents with three siblings- two in tertiary institutions and one at sec sch , things ave not been easy wit me wit saddled responsibilities. Right now, it is disheartening that my kid bro would ave to stay at home nd not go to school becos he hasnt bought his big notes, we dont ave foodstuff at home let alone money- we hardly eat a day. I am a graduate, infact BGS of the department with all odds, ave strained every nerves yet no job since the man i was assisting as PA travelled Out. I totally disagree with this.

I converse a lot with native English speakers in multiple cross functional roles. If i had a dollar for every mistake or typos lots make , i would be a millionaire.

It is only in Nigeria we carry English on top of our head like Ijebu garri. They are interns and mostly fresh out of school or someone learning a new skill in a work environment. The threshold of capabilities for such team members is always set extremely low and showing up and showing a will to learn should be more than enough to grant you a sit.


They just lost a talent because of their irrational thinking. I am so glad for the young man. The OP should please even send me the details of the guy. I would hook him up to something far better than wherever he is coming from.

I am not even gobsmacked at all. I had an opportunity to be the BGS in my department then- 2019, but all i received was an audio money, unfulfilled promised of an automatic employment and audio prizes announced on the convocation day.
Education in NIGERIA has 99% lost its keys to bringing someone to limelight. It is well. I strongly believe someday, God will answer my prayer. I will never quit- i am still gonna secure a good job by His Grace.

Jeeex.. even with the peanuts- meagre salary 30k, it has been so damn difficult !
As the first child, It has really been a pain in my arse, I have a lot of responsiblities I can't abdicate. Oh Lord, let it please You to send help to me from above.
