Great news..Kudos! Kudos!! Kudos!!! |
The people saying this don't even have blood in them sef. |
Great news. ECOWAS taken a bold step. |
SocialJustice:Hello Dear, it not about Pst Bimbo or Pst Ene to me now, I just want to counsel you to learn to be a good listener & don't be quick to just say your mind. Think it through first. Whycalling people 'dogs'? Is that what you have been learning from Pst Ene? Your reaction to an action is the real you, to be a matured Christian, take away anyhow talk to others. Address people the way you want to be addressed, decently. Just an advice please. |
We Are Back With Today's Shocking BAD NEWS
Excuse you, you feel people like bad news right? For your health & future change your mindset, be a career of good news instead. The lady may be a victim of hit and run car but just because you want traffic you have lost your sense of humanity, 'used'. Your feelings are dead. Lord have mercy. You should be picked up and queried for this. |
Knowing that this guy is always out to tarnish the image of this government and all affiliated with it, I hope when he is charged to court like the Fasola's y'all will not come and be raising dust again. |
Have you ever heard about fall arrest before? That is the technology/safety equipment when working at a height in developed environment. Google it and learn. |
It is not just 'RIP to dead or quick recovery' but more about how we can contribute to saving lives. If you are reading this, please advise drivers to drive with care and be patient and avoid driving under stress/fatigue or drug influence. Many drivers drive under strong influence of paraga & other alcoholic liquor. If only the driver dies after such ignorant acts without taking innocent people along it would have been better eventhough we wish they rẹ safe too. Please advise travellers to check their drivers and advise them. I once boarded a vehicle along the expressway and fortunately sat in front in between the driver and another passenger. Along the journey, all the passengers including the one beside me in front slept off(overnight journey effect I think) and I noticed the driver was not even left out. Thank God I joined the bus. I stylishly(so as not to cause sudden fright) alerted him, engaged him constantly, gave him chewing stick to keep him awake. He was stressed no doubt, but an 18 sitter bus loaded with passengers was saved that day. Please take caution, it is not about the year but about killing attitudes of people. |
This is one of the major setback in Nigeria especially within the Yorubas and Igbos. Misplacement of Priorities, why do you need to spend so much on the Dead? Why the wastages in the name of remembrance? Yet this are the same people crying government is insensitive to their plight forgetting that this 'little' things are a microcosm of our larger society. There was a case of guy selling his kid to bury his father, why? Somebody want to buy 700k wedding gown just for day where there is no money to sustain the marriage itself, for what? Ask the ritualist, it is because of fame.... For how long? Else where in the world, bury the dead, morn and move on not these burden we have put on ourselves in the name of culture. We can be culturally progressive than regressive. Youth wake up, lets change this taboos and have a better future. NairaLand can help by reducing all these celebrity postings, it is not helping feeble/vulnerable youths. If we do not do anything to reduce/eradicate this pattern of live it will ever remain as a yardstick for our future generations. |
About fluctuations in fuel prices, it is what is obtainable in a deregulated economy. For people living in US or Canada, price changes every week plus or minus. If it is fixed there will be payment of subsidies which had been a serious loophole in the country. From the comments above, I deduced that many are unaware of the intricacies involved and that indicates there is a lot of communication gap between the government and the people. As at today gas(petrol)per litre is cad$.94(#300) in Canada, along the week, specifically Thursday, it might change due to market influences. |
Impatience, drug indulgent drivers, lawlessness are just some of the causes of these avoidable accidents. It's not enough to condole, the authorities concern need enlighten and enforce safety measures. It just a terrible, wasting lives with man made causes. |
salbis:Stay in your house, manage what you have with your family. Best solution.. Stay safe |
Ignorance is a psychological disease. Majority of our youth are sick, just as many custodians (parents, government officials, clerics) are sick |
Juicyjuice:How old are you dear? Diplomacy is good especially when you cannot substantiate you position. History is there for you, even on the internet. Beware!!! |
This guy(Oba) is just bringing up a state of reversal(if any of you know history of the black race), something uncommon and here many are using derogatory, terrible words. WOW! When are Nigeria youth ever going to learn to appreciate their own? Agreed, he needn't post this but you responses here are WORSE. Nigeria youth on Nairaland gives a concern to worried about a lot. Please learn to think positively sometimes, don't be overwhelmed by negative comments. You know why, it will reflect in your life. Change your thinking. |
Its quite clear that most reasonable people have left commenting in Nairaland. Alzajira is known for this kind of news- 'no good news'. But think of this, 'na today Naija Deltans start to dey steal oil'? It has been battle with every successive government, to the extent that Amnesty was introduced. This present regime has moved farther by facilitating the construction of modular refineries to discourage all these lazy youth who prefers quick wealth. I am moved to tears many times reading comments coming from ignorant youth on this forum/media commentaries. |
bluefilm:Can we see your picture please? Some of you don't know that what you are commenting is actually read all over the world and it is a way of judging your mentality. What you wrote above is too shallow and a sign that many Nigerian youths are really sick, myopic and unprepared for the future. Those ladies are modestly dressed sorry not like your "bluefilm" likes as you called yourself. You should actually "tufiakwa" for yourself because you are too blinded to see reality. |
In order word, Fayose knows that he himself does not qualify to be a democrat..What a shame? The LAST DEMOCRAT in what sense? ![]() |

Cultures Killing us NAKED TRUTH *Strange things we do in Africa in the name of "It's Our Culture* *1. We care more for the dead than we do for the living!* *2. We spend more to bury a person than we do to save his/her life.* *3. We will not travel to go see a sick relative but will travel to bury him/her* *4. People will rarely respect you while alive but will want to "pay their last respects" to your casket.* *5. A person may NEVER receive roses in his/her entire life but he/she will get lots dumped on his/her coffin and graveyard!* *6. We will spend a night at a neighbour's funeral and it will be our first time to see the inside of his/her house!* *7. No one gives a damn to know your village until you die and they will all fill cars after cars to "escort" your corpse* *8. We will take the dead to the mosque/temple/church knowing full well that he or she had nothing to do with worship while alive.* *9. We might not have granite tops in our kitchens but use the granite in the graveyard!* *10. An entire village might not have a single house with cement floor but the only place with cement floor will be the tomb of a late illustrious son or daughter!* *We need "Cultural Reforms". We have a culture of "hypocrisy" ... a culture that is "Pro-death" and NOT "Pro-life!"* *We need to value life BEFORE death.* Please love me while I am alive. Show me your kindness now that I need it. Your presence at my funeral will never make up for your absence when I have the greatest need of you. Do it now than regret later. *This got me thinking, what do you think? |
‘Warri, Benin invasion by Biafra never again will Itsekiri tolerate such’ ITSEKIRI ethnic group of Delta state have again berated Igbo agitators for independent Biafra state for mapping Itsekiri territory into the proposed Biafra. Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, ILoT, were reacting yesterday in Warri, Delta state, to renewed demand for creation of a Biafra Republic from Nigeria by some Igbo youths from the South East whose proposal include the whole of or Delta state. ILoT in a statement signed by Chief Edward Ekpoko, Chairman and A S Mene, Secretary, stressed that, “Itsekiri homeland of Warri is not part of that enterprise. We recall with pains the day the defunct Biafra Army invaded Warri and Benin in the then Midwestern Region on the 9th of August, 1967 and say never again will the Itsekiri tolerate such an invasion. “The Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality is committed to the unity of Nigeria and will do all it can to promote and protect it as one and indivisible country. We can always seat and dialogue on our differences. “As Major General Phillip Effiong said on 14th January, 1970 that the Republic of Biafra ceased to exist so we the Itsekiri wish it to be eternally for the peace and development of our great Nation.” “While we condemn the ultimatum given by some Arewa youths to the Igbos to quit the North, we commend the Arewa Consultative Forum, the Northern Governors Forum especially Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna State for their bold steps in condemning the youths” The Itsekiri leaders further called on Igbo elders, especially Ohaneze Ndigbo, “To call the Igbo youths who have been using Biafra to destabilize the nation to order. Perhaps if the Igbo elders did what Arewa Consultative Forum and the Northern elders are doing, this tension would have been avoided.” Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/06/warri-benin-invasion-biafra-never-will-itsekiri-tolerate/ |
If this is true, the anointing she received before storming out will definitely work against her......she has chosen to challenge God. Too bad |
The OP has intentionally castigated a whole tribe "but you know Yoruba ladies now, they are not together again". This absolutely unnecessary and deserve to be addressed to serve as deterrent to others who are found of this habit. |

doctimonyeka:You can say 'why this evil in the world'? You will be amazed to see what's going on in Syria, even in US. Or how many nations/continents have you been to to ascertain and compare the 'wickedness' in Africa? This is not by any means condoning in the least this act but to help guide the reasoning ability of some of you on this forum....your points are too naive, jejune, depicting babyish intelligence most times. Avoid generalising where you know little or nothing because comparison is best on facts. |
