Will Jack Wilshere start for Man Utd at age 16? Will he start for Chelsea? There lies your answer.
How can he start in a team that loaned out Dos Santos and other budding young talents that they have? How many of the players you mentioned above started in Rome in last season's CL?Who cares? I will not argue with a GAYnner that saw PHIL Neville in United's line up tonight.U no well Blame it on the alco-ho-ho-l. ![]() This Owen put the less in use-less.Na this one wan go world cup?Na this kain player they make Dayo yab England well well. |
Pogba is only 16. . . . . . .He is still in the academy.Jack Wilshere was just 16 years 256 days at the time he featured in a EPL match.I don't think age should be a barrier in a tourney that's got not so much allure. Beaten aerially? How?? The team is filled with first teamers and you can only name 4 of them?Evan,Foster . . . that's more than half of the team already. ![]() Our defence is dire and they haven't conceded a goal?Against a quality team with quality goal scorers, your team would have paid a heavy price with your topsy turvy defending. It's obvious or you watching on a radio? Na wa for GAYnners o.Scummies and their ability to avoid the truth.

|
Man U's defending is shocking And this team is filled with your first teamers. . . Brown,Phil Neville,Anderson,Owen and i am sure but for Rio's pathetic form,he woulda being playing. ![]() Where is Pogba? |
I think i raised the possibility of Song missing the match against Spuds if he was carded yesterday but come to think of it,even he was, what it means is he will "miss" the Carling Cup match against the scousers. So really getting carded yesterday doesn't have any effect in the grand scheme of things. Doki how u dey? |
Get a grip, dude!!! So far, no team is running away with it. The other clubs have closed up with the BIG FOUR. It's now a level playing field as the BIG FOUR cannot really attract world class players like before. Fulham coulda gotten Owen n Valencia. Sunderland coulda bought Vermaelen and Man City coulda bought Aquilani. The title will be very tight this year cos more points are going to be dropped. It's a long hard winter n i am loving it.
With teams like Sunderland,Wigan,Fulham,Burnley et al all having a go and no longer parking buses, this has to be the most entertaining EPL in recent times.A lot of drama WILL still unfold and i am loving it except the fact we gave away a 2-goal lead.I watched your team today, and even you will not agree, life after C7 is diffrent kettle of fish.Man U seem hapless without that magician. |
I just think Wenger should try and be flexible with his formations RVP could use help in that forward line! He drifts out to the wing sometimes as well and there is always no one in the box.
RVP in-effectiveness was down to the fact that he was playing with a poor Arshavin and Eboue.I am still an sea over why Eboue is played further forward when he couldn't even nail down the right side of the midfield when we were playing 4-4-2. Diaby should be used once in three games or thereabout i dont care about his size it adds nothing to us defensively, thats just a cliche! How big are Essien,Fletcher,Gattuso,Makalele,Lassana Diarra,Barry,Xavi,Keita,Mascherano? What matters is upper-body strength! You don't need to be big-foot,King-Kong or Godzilla to shield your back line or be a box to box midfielderAdd Flamini to the list, when he was with us our midfield was top notch and he was no giant.Diay would even be more effective if played in the Eboue role. When would Eboue improve on his final ball? Wenger should stop playing him in midfield if he cant improve on that part of his gameAnd there were better options on the bench. This 2 point-loss is so hard to take in really. |
Arshavin is a luxury player. . . . .He is as quiet as a mouse once he does not get on the score sheet. He reminds me of Owen in his prime. For 89 mins in a game, Owen is quiet. The only time he gets talked about is when he scores. . . . .
Arshavin oozes class when he's up for it but the over-all performance today was sub-par.We were gifted the 1st goal and the second was a set-piece.We never really seem like finishing off WH.I am still wondering why Wenger left the sub that late though. What's the essence of having Bendtner and Eduardo when they couldn't play the last 20 mins or so ![]() |
debosky:Believe me,there is a world of difference between efficiency and effectiveness when it comes to a game like this.Eboue was OK for most part but he lacks that extra class of an attacker/midfielder,especially in a 4-3-3 formation. When you have a defender like Sagna who isn't all that with his attacking instinct, you need a classy player in the mould of Rosicky or Nasri playing ahead of him. There is a good reason Eboue best games for us has always been when he makes his forray from RB. . Song, Diaby and Mannone lost us this game, making mistakes and unnecessary tackles when completely unwarranted. That tackle(if we can call it that) from Song is not a penalty.Diaby's clumsiness when it comes to defending was brought to the fore yet again today and WTF was Manone thinking punching that ball back into the 18.Knowing Wenger he will stick to him but i think he's learnt enough.I am really so pissed right now man. It's not calamitous by any stretch, but eminently winnable and we threw away two points away.Believe me it is calamitous when you cast your mind to the fact that we have no right losing. All the teams that were supposed to lose lost their respective matches so we had no reason on earth "losing" to Westham. This feels like a loss to me really. After all is said and done, we are up to third with a game in hand. Things could be worse but we CANNOT afford to be dropping points in this fashion.I can't but agree with this. . Dire performance over-all 'cos even when we were leading,i wasn't still feeling comfortable. Our defending was nervy and my initial knee jerk reaction is these players should spend some time in a cave without food for 2 days.I am so pissed right now. ![]() |
I don't know how the clash of legs between Song and CC resulted in a penalty, but some other things beat me about today's game. What was Eboue doing on the pitch for so long when we had Bendtner and Eduardo on the bench? Is it me or the dude just lack that the final all to e called a midfielder or an attacker? What the heck was Don Vito doing parrying that ball back into the 18? I am really pissed that we gave away a 2-goal lead when we should be cruising. This is the sickest i have been after a match(since the Tottenham game last year) ![]() |
The first one was a stone-wall penalty. . . . . .Gallas fouled Parker!!!
Where were you when Upson "carried" the ball with his hand in the first half? What happened between Song and Cole was a clash of legs? EPL refs are buncha jokers! ![]() Imagine the soft red card he gave Parker ![]() |
nateevs:And it has to affect your grammar? CLASSIC |
This is the sickest i have been after a game. |
Benitez should try and get Carlton Cole,he's a sort of a beast nowadays. |
Ahononai is the Gooner? ![]()
If there happens to be an Arsenal game on my wedding day, I'lll have a flat screen set up at the reception so I can catch it and make sure all the gooners attend too!
Oh to be a Gooner. . . I took the fixture list to my in-laws house on the day we were deliberating on what day my traditional wedding will take place.I made sure the day and date did not coincide with anything Arsenal.I am proud to tell you my mother in-law who hitherto had a passive interest in football is now an ardent fan of Arsenal. She calls to confirm the scores when she's unable to watch the match. ![]() |
Can someone please let me know the number of yellow cards Song has amassed?I do not want the dude missing out against Tottenham abeg. |
Cristalz:You owe me a beach ball ![]() |
Cristalz:And there is more. . . A lot goes into what players say in the media these days and i believe a lot of it have impact on their fellow players. How many times does he want to talk about his love for Barca(this is the umpteenth time since he arrived) or that we need experienced players?I can not remember C7(a younger player) inundating us with Real madrid tales during his time with Man U inspite of his love for them.If all players want to be honest a lot will be divulged that will wreck the team.Heck Fab ignored i the last time he was asked about Barca? He's playing well and commited? Is there a rule against been commited and shutting up? ![]() Like i said, silence is golden sometimes and he should just concentrate on his football. |
tkb417:Being cautious abi na fear? As long as there is a beach ball there is nothing to fear now. You(Liverpool) Nervously Walk Alone ![]() Cristalz, you may want to rectify the Man(c)hester Utd side of the heading too. ![]() |
I think Arshavin should just shut up totally and concentrate on his footie.Of course statement like those below are uncalled for and can be avoided: The most beautiful football isn't here, but at Barcelona,' Arshavin told Russian website Bobsoccer. 'But after them, perhaps Arsenal. Perhaps? 'We are probably missing two top players.' How do you think this statement affect the psyche of young 'uns? ![]() 'And of course I moved to Arsenal. I think my current club are the second most entertaining in modern football. Damn it,silence can be golden sometimes you liliput. ![]() |
Oh well yesterday it was the queen and today. . . happy birthday Arsene. Here's to many more years Le Boss ![]() |
duduspace:Review of the mis-match you mean? |
2 players red-carded.I thought the agberoism ends with Dayo really. But for some goal-keeping brilliance, your team shoulda been on the same level with Rangers as per goals conceeded. Dayo,o de jawo l'apon ti o yo. ![]() |
Why was that goal disallowed? European referees are spastics. That was a good goal scored by Milan.
Your take on this RM team? I feel they are just a dis-jointed unit with no football gusto whatsoever. In EPL and with this kinda defence, they will get constantly raped. |
The old men are playing the rich kids off the park. Believe me when i say this Real team puts the less in clue-less. |
This is atrociously abominable and sacrilegious. The repercussion is simply that we ain't going to the world cup. ![]() |
Happy birthday Queen Muki ![]() |
edoyad:Fixed Edo ![]() |
debosky:I was about "shooting from the hips" until i read the highlighted. ![]() I am one to quickly wave away "stats" when it comes to football,i mean, this is not basketall nor baseall.A lot is lost in "charts and bars" that will make a great player's effort seem ordinary and make a Clark Kent out of back and side passing Mikel ![]() That said,i think the good run of play is advantageous to Diaby. He's a good player who thinks complicated-ly,all he needs to do is keep it SIMPLE in all ways.Keeping it simple will also make him decisive. He's in no way guilty for the goal we conceeded though,(same for Lampard's great nod-back to Dunne ) as i feel Don Vito(the main culprit, all he needed to do was punch the ball) just conspired with himself to gift Bowyer that goal. |
It didn't tick off against Barcelona cos we lost the anchor-man(Fletcher) that makes that formation tick. If we had Hargo, we woulda coped but without those 2 midfield enforcers, United got raped in the midfield. Xavi n Iniesta were given so much freedom with the ball it wasn't true.
The Fletcher argument makes me laugh anytime i hear it. . .do you know Barca did not play 2 of their first teamers at the back? Plus they lost their "grafter" (Yaya Toure)in the middle of the pack too,so that argument doesn't hold water. United lost to a better team;the team who seems to want it more on the day.EOD. To the argument on why Wenger employed the 4-3-3 this term,it may interest you to know Nasri,Rosicky,Arsharvin,Diay,Denilson,Walcott etc are all players that love to play centrally and what other formation can accomodate these lads? Plus Wenger wouldn't buy(for reasons best known to him) the much needed DM a la Gilerto,Diarra or Makalele thus what better way can he mitigate our defensive lapses ut 4-3-3? It is no rocket science bruv!
Stop deluding yourself. Barca/Man Utd/ Arsenal all play entertaining football but Arsenal have no titles to show for their sexy football. United n Barca mix it cos they have players who can GRIND out results. Arsenal don't have such in their shitty outfit.
Are you by any chance infering that Arsenal started playing "champagne" footie in the last 4-5 seasons? Oh tell me,what kind of footall won them the league without losing a single match? |
Yes, he did!!!! In the last 13 odd years at the Emirates, Wenger was stuck to his traditional 4-4-2. He only plays 4-5-1 when one of his main strikers isn't fit but then he still plays someone in the hole. Until that day at OT when United lined up 4-3-3 with Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez throwing darts at his defence.
You are one exaggeratingly verbose dude. What is there to envy about a 4-3-3 formation that didn't tick off against Barca in the final? ![]() Believe me,the personel's we have @ Ashurton Grove are more of determining factors than that your vitiated belief. Plus Barca's 4-3-3 is far more appealing! ![]() Let's take this argument off here please. It's Chelsea's thread. |
Go and watch Arsenal Vs Man Utd(both legs) in last season's UCL Semis. The brand of football United deployed in those games was what changed Wenger's tactical formation to 4-3-3.
Are you having a fit with the enboldened statement? So you really feel Wenger will change tactical formation 'cos of a loss to Man U? Wenger's tactical set up for the new season is down to so many things(inclusive of maximizing the potentials of most of our midfielders who prefers to play centrally, mimimizing our defensive frailty,et al) but that loss. We may want to take this chit-chat outta here though. |
