MOTM for me is between Song and Diaby.

I doubt the match will be a walk-over as expected in so many quarters. The last time Birm visited Emirate,it was supposed to be a walk in the park too and we came off the match with a point. This int'l break is/will be a major factor in this game.I pray we win by any goal margin possible.

Nigeria 95 was the African under 21 tourney which we hosted that was where Fanny Amun used the fumbling and wobbling lingo. We drew Mali 3:3 opening game and lost to Cameroun lead by Augustine Simoe in the semi. Trust Gayyners and delusion go hand in hand in a few years they would tell us Yekini played Egypt 2009
Are you sure there is any tourney like Nig 95?

It was the best display of tactical football ever. Don't blame the italians for having great defenders not duds.
Great defenders like the ones that ones that played against Liverpool in Istanbul?or the ones against Arsenal in San Siro? undecided

Yep. It's all kick & rush footy. That's why players who ply their trade in the premier league flop during international competitions in comparison to their spanish & italian league counterparts.
Fast pace doesn't indicate less technique neither does inertia movement points to tactical nous. You paint things in lback and white like you have color blindness.
Ok i get it,the reason Argentina has been shitty of recent is because their players all ply their trade in Epl and the reason 3 Lions have beaten all the teams they are against is because they now import players.

Breaking news. . .

Arshavin has been clueless for his national side since joining Arsenal and Cesc is a tactless troll for Spain too. .

Stop making things sound seem so simple or else you might posit one day that EPL is ruining World soccer.

In a situation where a player is ridiculously as shit as Diaby then you have to blame the manager for using him game after game

that is why I trust managers like Fabio Capello if you are shit, you play your 90 mins on the bench until you come good, simple
This is neither here nor there. . .

O'shea,Fletcher,Song,Denilson, et al are all players that have come through successfully inspite of several flacks from even their own fans.In Diaby's case, the excrutiating issue is the fact that just when you are about giving up on him,he turns in another 5-star perfomance. smiley

I cringed when i read some posters arguing for him that his mates do not make themselves available for passes from him. .  shocked If pacy Theo can't complain,Diaby doesn't have a prayer.

Believe me,in la liga or Ligue 1,Diaby will be a cynosure of all eyes with his immense skill and ball-hogging antic cos you are allowed to express yourself, but here in EPL where the game is played at frenetic pace,he needs to sort his decison making to be a consistent performer.

Plus he's a tad clumsy with his tackles and challenges.

Richardson kicked the ball so the free-kick wouldn't be taken immediately and his defender caught napping. The foolery displayed in his action was that a Sunderland player was booked earlier(not 5 minutes ago as Emp stated  grin tongue) for the same offence.

That said,i think Fergie should just concentrate on his team and hand them the hair dryer treatment for the day's insipid performace rather than this misplaced vitriol on a ref whose blunder was non-existent going by the standard of officiating in EPL.Since when did we start hollering on negligible stats like distance covered by a ref  undecided

BTW,am i the only one that noticed that the Sunderland team is decent one?
How many players make themselves available to receive Diaby's passes when Diaby is in possession?
If his team mates are static, it becomes more difficult for Diaby to make up his mind and give a pass to a marked player.
U will be amazed at the number of times EPL players stand and watch like zombies instead of finding spaces to receive balls.
You will definately be dazed to know how many times i have seen Diaby with the ball(in our half especially) with 3 or 4 more players to just nugde the all to and he decides to meander a la Maradona style into a blind alley.Statistics do not say these things but look around at how many people cringe in fear when Diaby has the ball in our half.
I do not doubt his potentials, but then for how long do we can these luxury of potential and budding talents?
That will come with experience and more training sessions.
The reason Paul Scholes is the best passer in the EPL is because of his sublime range of passing.
Diaby doesn't have that yet and he must learn that art.
Before the out of this world sublime passes must come the simple, basic ordinary passes a la Denilson and Mikel.I don't think i am asking for too much when i ask ,release the ball as at when due.Dude gets too clumsy for my liking abeg.

And as per Schole, for now, dude should just hang it.Great passes against Stoke, terribly awful against Sunderland. Why Fergie pounced on Wiley and let Scholes go scot free is a mystery in the realm of Bermuda triangle? tongue grin

Debosky, stop clowning. grin grin grin grin
Of course you know he meant the vitriol and castigation directed at him by fans at large. It will be silly to assume these players don't monitor things been said about in the media.
In the Premiership, the players are too static.
For instance, Diaby is in possession but his teammates are static. They are not moving or finding space to receive a pass. Diaby gets confused and he is forced to make a pass that gets intercepted. Then Arsenal fans get on his back that he cannot make crisp passes.
I disagree totally. . . .

Diaby's case is more of indecision. When he's up against players that close the game down,he gets lost in his own two-minds and tend to give the all away. You can't tell me he moves the ball more than Cesc,Rosicky and Arshavin yet these team mates of his do get to find someone out with their passes.Making a case for Diaby by blaming the dudes he plays with kinda suck.

He's surely a player with immense talent offensively, what he needs to add to his game his decisiveness and maturity.Release the ball as at when due and stop holding onto it unnecessarily.
