I hate lies in all manner or form . . . i would gladly defend the truth, infact i have sometimes defended people that i would normally not defend on the basis that what they are figthing for is the truth.

- Fulanis are ruling Ilorin because they betrayed their Yoruba muslim brethren.
- Fulanis are Emirs in Ilorin by deceit and betrayal.
- An Emir is a religious title and not a monarchial one.

It does not matter is lie is propagated for 800years truth would always prevail . . . hence as far as I am concerned Sulu Gambari or his family might be ruling Ilorin, nevertheless it does not belong to him, it never belong to him and never will.
Unneccesary!

You could have just allowed my statement to pass without this unneccesary, verbose sermon. How is this germane to the thread we have going?

I would slap the tut from your head if you repeat the phrase town of sulu gambari . . . ilorin is not the town of sulu gambari . . . sulu gambari's family are colonialist that would soon be driven out of town sooner or later.

ilorin is a yoruba town end of story . . . the only reason sulu gambari is still having a say there is because the north is cus of the brainwashed attitudes of people towards history and the typical nigerian situation.
All these is uncalled for really, but then i will wait for your sooner or later till i can say it's not his town.Till then. . . Zulu remains the Emir of Ilorin.

I am cool with the ones that do not follow the crowd and just air their mind/views regardless of whose oxen is gored. The annoying ones are the oh yes and gbam members who have succeeded in garnering enough posts that can sink the titanic just by flowing with the tide even when their posts are indicators they have no knowledge of the issue being discussed.E.g

Poster A:I love beef and will do anything to have steak right now
Poster :I am a vegetarian and wouldn't touch anything beef with a 1000ft pole
Poster A:Gbam!

And the gbam will be followed by a smiley. grin

If United could pull today's performance, defensively, against the arguably the best striker in the world,i think this season is FARRRRRRRR from over.Evans/Brown/O shea is not the kind of personnel that will instill fear into any attacker but boy oh boy were they disciplined. . .

The key has always been Fergie shaping and getting his team into FORM at the crunchy end/part of the season so all hope is not lost. That said can't you guys just ship Nani and Athletico to CSKA and ask for Krancik or whatever is name is?

BTW scummies, how market . . just gotta do that grin grin

The match would be WON in the midfield and if Fergie starts Carrick, Fletcher and Anderson then CHELSEA are doomed.
And if he doesn't?Are you already tacking together excuses like Joseph's coat of many colours?
In as much as i am hoping you guys play out a boring draw tommorow,i can't just see how United will come out unscathed tommorow. . .seems Osama stands a better chance of becoming the next occupant of White House than MU getting any point at all. grin

hardly believable I would say, or what is to say that it will take 6 weeks to recuperate from the loss of a mother-in-law  shocked  shocked even the children would have been up and doing  grin

before it was chest infection, now its recuperation from tragedy, MUST WE HAVE AN EXCUSE FOR EVERYTHING THAT GOES DOWN AT THE EMIRATES ?  undecided
I wonder why they are just coming out with this,it's as incredulous as it can is back, why not just keep it at what it was?

@gooners

Seems we will be without Clichy and Bendtner for a long time. What is it with our players and back injury anyway?Wasn't it this stress fracture that kept the former out for a long time last season and same back problem that Gilberto had back then and Denilson is having now? undecided

Almunia coping with family tragedy

It's been reported that first choice goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has been coping with a deep family tragedy in recent weeks, and this may be the reason why the Spaniard has not featured in the side lately.

The press were led to believe that Almunia was suffering from a chest infection and thus was unavailable for selection, but many were wondering why it was taking so long for the infection to clear when there was still no sign of the 32-year-old.

Almunia was on the substitute's bench in the match against West Ham, prompting speculation that the Arsenal number one had indeed lost his place in the side.

But it's now been revealed that this entire episode has been a piece of good man-management by manager Arsène Wenger, who allowed Almunia the time to cope with the loss of his mother-in-law in a car crash six weeks ago.

Although the 32-year-old (right) showed professionalism and stuck to his training schedule, Wenger decided Almunia should be given time to deal with the tragedy and left him out of the first team line-up.

Almunia was eventually restored to the side for yesterday's North London derby.
Interesting piece of information. . .
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by kaypumpin2(m): 7:12pm On Oct 31, 2009
2 things were obvious today that makes me conclude Wenger is hungrier than before for glory and ready to end our trophyless haul. . .

The inclusion of Almunia, and his animated state even when we were 3 goals up.Now that's what i want to see my gaffer radiate, passion and ruthlessness.

That said today's game is one game that shows the character champions are made of;the whole team was switched on for 90+ mins. But for Bentley's freekick,i can't remember spuds giving Al any torrid time. All thanks to a defence that decided to play as a unit.Verminator won virtually every aerial ball, even against a taller Crouch that he(Crouch) had to take leave of Verm's position.Clichy had his best performance this season, and Gallas and Sagna were not left out in the good performance.

Song and Diaby grew into the game.Though i feel the latter needs to add urgency to his game, his defensive contributions in the second half can not be over-emphasized.

Capt Fab,what can i say?I am sure that goal WILL be amongst the goals of the season.

RVP is improving tremenduosly in his new role as a central striker 'cos his positional awareness is getting better with each game and Edu shoulda OVER-KILLED the match but who am i to complain?

This is the kind of performance i want to see week in,week out inspite of any personel we deployed and today it's difficult giving MOTM to a particular player as ALL the lads were GREAT.

Arsenal is the army, red and white is the colour.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by kaypumpin2(m): 7:02pm On Oct 30, 2009
From having a 50-50 chance of playing against the Hammers to not been available for the NLD,Mozart seem to e giving a whole new defination to short time injury .It's such a shame and excruciatingly painful that such a beautiful player is injury-plagued.Cesc seems to be at his best whenever Mozart is on the field plus what Rosicky brings to the field is beyond description. It is pathetic indeed. . .

Also, there is no NEWS on Vela, what's up with the Mexican?

To tommorow's game.

I'll prefer to see Almunia in goal as there is nothing compared EXPERIENCE;and this is a derby and a very needed 3-point.

Special attention must be paid by Clichy to Lennon, his pace and cut-in must be kept at bay if we want to stifle a Defoe who seems to be a roll.Crouch must also be watched by Verminator.

Cesc,Song and Diaby WILL definately win the midfield battle at the Emirate and i expect Arshavin and Persie to KILL the game off with goals.

All in all,3 points is a MUST and no more slip ups.

Go RED and WHITE army! cool
Stop arguing then cos i have no doubt in me mind Joe Cole is a winger.
Whether he can play as a playmaker or anywhere else on the pitch is open to another debate but he is primarily a winger for the 3 Lions.
QED.
He may have been used as a winger in 3 Lions but i don't think Cole is a winger.I feel his potentials can rather be maximized playing him centrally in a 4-3-3 or at the tip of the diamond as.That said will you consider players like Luka Modric,Rosicky,Nasri,Arshavin et al as wingers just because they are deployed to the flanks in a 4-4-2?

I think most times,it just boils down to the individual's abilities to switch and/or the gaffers perception of his players' capabilities to switch and adapt anywhere across the midfield and attack.
