I still think the mystery behind not playing Arshavin and Song(our best performers in the midfield of late) should be part of the 7th wonders of the world! cool

Wenger threw the match yesterday;that was our BEST chance for a trophy down the drain.

Now you all know Wenger is a world class IDIOT.

My message for the past 3 years now came to fore glaringly

He was saving Arshavin for Emirates cup and Amsterdam cup cos he plans to retain those precious trophies

And Song for Next season

Arshavin would be regretting signing to play under this hopeless manager. What a shame

Music/Radio › Re: Star Quest Winners 2009 - The Pulse by kaypumpin2(m): 12:46am On Apr 19, 2009
realborn:
Star Quest 2009, started like every other usual TV/musical talent hunt with no enthusiasm for me.
I have never been an ardent fan of reality shows after the first two episodes of Gulder ultimate search. My disdain nd unbelief about the efficacy of such talent hunt shows was made stronger after listening to the album/cd of D'Accord band (guess 2003 winners) and i was not impressed despite the hype.

Thursday 9th April I was invited by a friend to the Star Quest house where I watched d bands play three songs each.
I was moved. I immediately grew a passion for four of d bands. The Pulse, Nu sound, Expression nd 100 degrees(didnt make it to the final 3).
One of the three songs perfomed on d aforementioned date is chosen for each band as their hit.

The move by STAR to further shoot a video each for the three final bands is a great one. Watching those videos few moments ago made me believe that the road to stardom starts from d mind. All three bands are good. Their stage performances too today was balistic. But worthy of mention is d winning band's performance of their alternative song "Redemption song". It kept d crowd wild, active and on their feet. It was obvious they wld dance away with d crown at the end of d day. Their hit track: I GO DEY CRY SOTE, has strong lyrical content well blended in rhymes evaluating d present dearth in our beloved country and also emphasising faith in the possibilities of a better future. Purely fantastic.
I deeply wish THE PULSE a successful year. I pray their career will blossom and the wisdom to deliver without relent as they have done at the fameland will not cease. Also I wish the other bands a lift in their endeavours. They were all great. Enough respect to the lead vocalist of the Expression band, his delivery of their hit track was very good.

All members of THE PULSE kindly accept my congratulations. Big ups to the male nd female lead and all instrumentalists.

THE PULSE - 99,000 votes
EXPRESSION - 15,000 votes
NU SOUND - 10,000 votes

The above figures are approximates and not the exact.

smiley wink cheesy grin

, I go dey pray sote, sote sote sote, sote sote sote, grin

STAR please put all the songs on CD pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee
For the first time,a winner was declared for a reality show in Nigeria and everyone that watched and was part of the show AGREED on the winner;it is PRICELESS.

Had to be the first time since June 12 for such rare occurence.

That song so tey should be given to a good producer like Jeremian Gyang or Cobhams to add a professional touch to it,the song is a MASTERPIECE.

I love the 2 lead vocalists of the group tooo.

Damn i can't conjure any form of sleep! angry

Fabianski the fault? If he's stayed back, the only result would still have been Drogba going one on one with him and scoring!

The MAJOR problem today was the selection, what the Bleep was Song and Arshavin doing on the bench whilst Diaby and Denilson were fielded?

Persie was made a part of a 5man midfield that couldn't create anything to save their lives huh

How could Ade have bothered a Chelsea defence that had Alex and Terry as a lone ranger?

Why didn't Wenger play Arshavin that could have bombarded a Cech that is low on confidence with missiles?

The game today wasn't won by the ingenuity of Hiddink or his players, but by sheer over-sabi of Wenger.

I want Song partnering Fabregas in the midfield he is really playing with loads of swagger these days Denilson can shine boots on the bench and Diaby could be introduced a little later in the game his sometimes erratic tendencies are not what we need on Saturday[/quote]Sagna should be back for Saturday. The urge to play to play the FA CUP S/F will annihilate the virus grin

I wouldn't want Gibbs playing on Saturday as i feel the fire power of Guus' boys will be too much for his football brain.Plus he is most times caught out of position.

We are spoilt for choice in the middle of the pack and i feel this is where the match will be won.I see Wenger playing a 5-man mid-field with Arshavin given the roaming/free role.I can't wait for this match abeg,

What a match, suffice to state that we did not look troubled at any point of the game.

The boy Gibbs showed he could take over from Clichy. cool

Song displayed why he shouldn't be an unsung hero yet again smiley

Ade's penchance for flouting the offside rule was flagrantly displayed alongside his scoring and makossa prowess grin

Silvestre like his dancing skill, was not bad for most part of the game.

RVP showed why we should re-new his contract ASAP and the fact he's been receiving makossa tutorials from Eboue et al

Over-all,my boiz were GREAT.

@allboyz

I doubt if Diaby will play a role in this game and if he does,i think it will be minimal, maybe after the match has been wrapped up.

Early goal is the KEY tonight as the submarines will grow in confidence with each passing scoreless minutes.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by kaypumpin2(m): 5:09pm On Apr 15, 2009
I am a little concerned about our defence's frailty and it is the only reason i think we should play 4-5-1 so Song and Denilson(Diaby is a little short on match fitness) can act as cover for the back four.

Sure Gibbs and Silvestre could be our weakest links tonight but i think the only way we can knock Villareal off their game plan is via early goals.

I am a little jittery due to the situation at the back but knowing attack is the best form of defense, all we can do is ATTACK ATTACK and ATTACK.

And i pray we do not witness any more injury to any member of the back four too.

While I see your point tex, this type of thinking is VERY dangerous. It lowers the standard to the level that stealing 'only' 80% and 'doing something' with 20% is seen as some achievement. undecided

That type of thinking will only bring about leaders who feel they do not need to commit the states' resources to proper use, but doing 'something' will be sufficient. Our standards have been too low and we must continue to DEMAND for complete accountability, even if it seems a long way off.

A step in the right direction is when ALL the money gets used for the purposes intended, but then if the money was poorly or inefficiently allocated, we can criticise on that ground. I refuse to accept anything beyond that as movement in the right direction.
It is also laughable and preposterous how these "Rome wasn't built in a day" proponents feel we MUST negotiate ALL the tedious and gruesome corners and setbacks other developed countries had and experienced,to reach our own El Dorado angry .

Nigerians and excuses.Once our under-development was linked to the militaries and their peremptory fiat. Now the reason for the interregnum is explained off as ''Rome wasn't built in a day".
