A million mile journey begins with a single step.

The overseas skyscrapers and amenities you're admiring, have a headstart almost a hundred years ahead of Nigeria. So if you're going to compare, do it from a proper perspective.

Oyibos themselves dont come to Africa expecting to see the exact same infrastructure they left behind in their countries. But Nigerians want gold paved streets in every village just because they went abroad.

Be realistic. undecided
No one is being unrealistic here, but i do not think a governor that utilizes financial allocation for what it is meant for is worthy of news.He is just doing the service he/she is elected for.

It is bizzare and grotesque how these elected officials are termed messiahs for doing their job.

I cringe when i see and read these politicians and their boot-lickers spin and list neccesities and must-haves as achievements and dividends of democracy.

Incisive,insightful and on-point.

But how come i still feel this is all "dog eat dog" antics of a typical politician.

More so,wasn't Ibori active during OBJ's govt? Why wasn't he tried then?Oh i forgot! he was immuned!

But then,so was Alameisgha(i am sure the spelling is wrong),Dariye,Fayose et al.

And OBJ could have given him(Ibori) the same treatment he gave the likes of Mimiko.

This is all just B.S,and until this men(all the dramatis personae in our declining fortune) are lined up and made to face the firing squad,i am sure the future is extremely bleak.

BTW El Rufai, wasn't it ur demi-god OBJ that imposed Yaradua(an unwilling ally at that time) on us?

Game over!

Arsenal is turning into a team of 2nd half.From a mundane first-half to a celestial 2nd-half performance.

The turning moment was the substitution of Denilson;it made the mid-field non-static and dynamic.

Song! What can i say;this dude is turning into another Flamini, works hard, covers " hectres of land" and he has added finesse to his game.Capped his MOTM performance with a goal that will make Messi green. grin tongue

Next stop Villareal, but for our defence,i wouldn't be scared but let's wait and see,

Great match all in all.Up gunners cool

Pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!

What a save by the post! cheesy and Gibbs was lucky to get away with just a yellow card for that foul on Valencia.Me think he was the last man

Not the best of half for us at all.The defence was just clueless most times and Djorou had to be taken off.
It is not looking good for us going into the most crucial week of our season.

Let's just hope we can conjure some magic in the other half as we have a great bench comprising of Nasri,Persie and Manu.

Go ye Red and White army!

We are stripped dowm to the bone in our defence. One more injury and we might have to call Bendtner to play at the back

Wigan just scored and i can't but feel this injuries to our defence-line when it matters most MAY cost us dearly.
Our defence today just look out of place with Gibbs,Djorou, and Fabianski all looking low on confidence.

Maybe it is too early though to judge, just maybe,

Does acrobatic goals count for double huh huh

Let our strikers do the primary job of scoring first, and consistently to boot.

I can't remember Yekini aesthetizing his goals yet we all could not fault him 'cos of his consistency in banging in the goals.

PS:But then if you are a sucker for "goals with beauty",you can check out Martins goal against Bolton at Tyneside this season.I think that was acrobatic enough. cool

the ending of a 32 match unbeaten run at home must sting for Rafa's men. grin
Oh Liverpool were on an unbeaten run too?
Me think Anfield is over-rated as they cup too many draws there, especially in the EPL and mostly against minnows.

I do not see Liverpool coming back from this.In fact,Chelsea can afford to field the likes of Sinclair,Santos,Hilario et al.

It is going to be a cracker when a tactical Hiddink leads Chelsea against a Barca team that is on fire but tutored by a supposed green-horned Guardiola.

The semi-final slots for this fixture were sealed tonight, except of course a miracle happens in less than 7 days in the return legs.

Adebayorrrrrr give him the ball and he WILL score, ofcourse after a few squandered chances and a coupla offside tongue grin

That goal is a flaber-whelming piece of art a la Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

In all the events of saturday till yeserday, the constant pair of Fab-ayor seem to just lend credence to Kit's assertion all these while;bring Fab back and Manu will deliver. cheesy

Kit i hail thee oo,your Togo jireh-jazz is really working for your boy. grin grin

The downside of yesterday's match is the yellow cards and injuries sustained by Al' and Billie.I hope Fabianski will be fabulous enough till Al's return and Djorou will be solid enough to take Billie's spot.Pls Wenger no silvestre pls.

As we continue to bask in the glory of Ade's wonder goal, here is something i lifted off arsenal-mania.Posted by a forumite and i kinda concur with the enboldened part:

Is it the hair?

Has an awesome season last year but gets dreads cut off and hits a bad form patch, now hes growing his hair back = goal scoring spree with something more than a little special tonight.

We need to stick a clause in his contract banning him from having a haircut.

hey guys i hope you have an opportunity to take a second look at our match against manc the defence is still very shambolic with a team like Villarreal we have to do better than what we did against manc
pf our defence can afford not to concede early goal in both 1st nd 2nd half then we will win by a lone goal IE arsenal 1 vill 0
A defence that curbed SWP,Craig Bellamy and Robinho for 90+ mins can't be termed shambolic, that will be a misnomer.
Maybe the occasional loss of concentration that is due to the fact that we were too comfortable.
This team is not a perfect one,but it is definately on the rise and they can only be beaten by themselves

I never know you to be someone that reads posts cursorily.
My post was directed at the over-rated A.Young and Agbonlahor who couldn't nasrilized a senile Neville who was theirs for the taking.
