On a serious note,i do not want the English teams vying against each other at this level.

TKB,

Only the English team can cancel each other out. These other European teams find it difficult tackling English teams and i do not see that Barca team defeating United, forget the weekend blip.Barca have reigned supreme in La Liga cos of the freedom of space they enjoyed there, pitch this team against a typical English team a la Hull/Boloton/Chelsea under Mournho and see them falter.Over 2 legs,Man United will beat Barca.Porto/Bayern vs Arsenal/Chelsea,the match is won before being played.

As we get ready for tommorows draw beween the Eightsome.

Which draw do you want or reject and why?

I dont want Chelsea to meet Arsenal because i want both london clubs to be in semis.

I dont want Barca beacuse they seems to be playing effective footie these days

I dont want Liverpool because i am just tired of them

I want the 2nd best club in Manchester called United angry

What of you?
Oga Akola,i am sure the emboldened is tongue in cheek grin

I will want the draw to come thus:

Man U vs Barcelona
Liverpool vs Villareal
Chelsea vs Bayern
Arsenal vs Porto

I am cock sure all Englsih teams will be in the last four if the draw takes this dimension

Abiola babes is believed to be plagued with one curse in relative to their proprietor's(MKO Abiola)presence whenever they were playing those days, what is the acclaimed curse? grin

What is Moses Kpakor's nickname in those days when he was playing his trade with BCC Lion of Gboko?

Friday Ekpo played for a Gabonese team, what is the name of the team?
Sports › Re: Nigeria Football(league & National Teams) In The '80s & 90's: Ask Ya Questions by kaypumpin2(m): 5:26pm On Mar 19, 2009
Where is Raymond King and Bode William of Abiola Babes presently? grin

Nice thread though and i commend your initiative. Those when men were boys and Nigerian clubs cum soccer league had substance. The reason for this is not far-fetched,when you have the core of your national team plying their trade in thier home land,of course your league can not but be a beauty to behold. Not just in the eye of the beer holder.

Andrew Uwe,Owolabi,Segun Odegbami,Christian Chukwu et al all gave us nostalgic moments we will not forget in a hurry.Even in the late 80's and early 90's,things were not this bad.I could remember vividly the fierce rivalry between Super Stores and Flying Antelope.Collins Ebitimi(Barbwire) vs Charles Anazodo.A match slated for 4pm naija time @ the national stadium in Surulere and you couldn't get entrances anymore as early as 1pm. :oOh how i miss the notorious popular side at the national stadium,Surulere.Where everyone is a pundit cum analyst.

BCC Lion and Enyimba gave us somethings to be proud of by winning laurels in the later part of the 90's and 2000's but then what has happened now?

All players MUST ply their trade overseas even players in mauritius will get better media coverage before they can be looked at.talk about the second slave trade tongue

I think you are here to replace Loyika with your multi and excess usage of smileys. But easy on the  kiss for guys grin

Song is all of a sudden forging forward and his forrays, passes and interception have been MINT since the Burnley game.I can not wait to see him play alongside Cesc against the chavs/Mikle in Wembley.

Next stop,Newcastle. We must do everything to garner every 3 points to mitigate/make up for  the losses/draws we have experienced earlier in the season.

Tell them kay!! cheesy

Song had to be taken off - Diaby did a good job and was still winning balls in midfield. We needed a creative force while keeping a physical presence, so that's why Diaby remained and Song had to go. Either way, we WON and I'm sure Song is happy on the bench regardless.
Debo,

I am not one to write off a player really, though Bendtner finishing has been a nightmare, you can not fault his attitude and presence. The moment he came into the attack this evening, his presence, aerial dominance,self-awareness and positioning gave the Hull's defence, which was hitherto bossing Vela and Persie, some extra work to do.Of course he will come good, and it has to be at Arsenal.Henry and Adebayor may not be this terrible, but they were not the finished products(Ok in Manu's case,near-finished product tongue grin)that they became eventually.Everyone keen watcher of Arsenal's game this season, will agree with me that what Bendtner doesn't possess in clinical finishing,he has in attitude.Manu hasn't shown any of it this season. Not comparing the 2 dudes though.

As per Song, dude is fast improving or what do you feel Debo?

WORD!

Everyone will agree that whatever spirit saw the lads through the penalty shoot out in Rome has really made them stronger.
Except for aerial dominance as an excuse for Diaby's continuos presence on the field whilst Song was substituted,i must say i was appalled by Wenger's decision to take Song off. angry
Over all it was a positive attitude displayed by the lads and one can see that they are now psychological prepared compared to the complacency displayed earlier in the season.

PS.Bendtner did not MISS scoring chances today,he was actually DENIED by the goalkeeper. So haters, back off. tongue

What a weekend! cool

If anyone had predicted United will in B'Burn's level this weekend tongue grin(conceeding 4 goals),i would have disagreed and argued that it is as impossible as scoring 13 points with a throw of 2 dices cool.It doesn't take much from United's title bid(who says?),but it goes a long way in affirming one of football's mantra that i love to quote all the time:that football is like biscuit, you never know where it will break smiley

I pray 'em Lillywhites(oh how i hate to ever wish this team any positivity) beat Villa tommorow. cool

He will recover - his ANKLE was injured, not his groin. This is a short term thing and he will be BACK. Any footie Dudu plays this season is a BONUS for me. I am not expecting to see him or Rozzi at their best till next season. cool He will have niggly injuries after being out for a year, but they will clear up - you can't be out for so long and get back into gear instantly. Dudu will be back to his BEST.

He pulled a hamstring and now has a groin injury - I'm sure he'll be ready to face Hull come Tuesday. cool

@rapjunkie
THE ANGRY RAPJUNKIE REVIEW!!!

1. How can 'not the girl' by Dare be nominated for anything? That song is SOOOOOO RUBBISH!!!!! Only the video is any good
2. Don't people have to buy copies of paradigm shift to hear it before it is nominated?
3 If MI wins best album, then there will be riots in the Eastern states and seccessionist talks will be held in Jos. How can M.I's album be better than Naeto C's album?
4.YQ & Dagrin have to win best collobo over 9ice and tuface. If they don't then we know HHWA is on heavy payola. 'E fi mi le' is a zillion times better than that boring ' street credibilty'
5. If any one else apart from Mode wins 'lyricist on the roll' then Rapjunkie will enter the studio with ruggedman to release 'deathblow, part 419'
This is tongue in cheek right? How on earth is that song a rubbish? If you criticize his vocal range on the song,i MAY agree sorta,as i believe someone with a wider vocal range could have add more vibes to the rendition of the lyrics but knowing Dare's vocal range is not his forte (i feel Ecetra and Cobhams would have done better),even that his negligible as that song is near-perfect i.e 90%.I am sorry but you lost me on that one.

Just thinking out loud, why is Sound Sultan's bush meat not nominated for any award?

Bigiano and Durella's Shayo is also no where to be found shocked
Music/Radio › Re: Hip Hop World Awards Nomineees: Predictions and Vote link by kaypumpin2(m): 11:08am On Mar 12, 2009
@Eldee

Asa won an award in the last edition of HHWA and thus the reason you gave is not applicable. The only germane reason is 'cos she did not release any work in "the year under review"

The tightest noninations have to be the group having "mo hit" vs "coded tunes".It is definately a tight one.
