Rosicky has not featured for club nor country since picking up a strange groin injury in late January during an FA Cup tie against Newcastle United.

Despite scans showing the playmaker to have a clean bill of health, Rosicky himself suffered serious discomfort.

The 28 year-old underwent hamstring surgery in May in a bid to clear up his mysterious and 'freakish' injury, which ruled him out of Euro 2008 for the Czech Republic.

The Gunners were hopeful of a September return for the ex-Borussia Dortmund player, but after suffering a set-back, that date was put back to December by Arsene Wenger.

The Arsenal manager has since been left 'speechless' by Rosicky's condition, which may rule him out for the entire season.

In the wake of the player's surgery, the bone around his hamstring became inflamed, and now Rosicky is on a course of rehabilitation and rest.

Arsenal intend to quicken his recovery programme by December with the intention of introducing him to the first team by Christmas, but if he suffers another relapse, the club have ruled out further surgery.

It would mean that Rosicky would be forced into total rest and would have to miss the rest of the season.

the problem with arsenal this season so far hasnt been that of a player not bought or lack of good players,but the right choice of player to be on the field viz a via our opponent's game plan.On sat,it was quite glaring and obvious as Fox new's rightist stance that Sunderland jam-packed their midfield just to choke us.The right thing any right thinking gaffer would have done is bring in Nasri for Denilson so we can allow Persie to move a step upfront,pairing Ade( who was kinda clueless up there alone )and also bring in creativity which was obviously lackin.I would have even taken off Ade and bring in Bendtner as hes better in one on one situation as Ade only flouriches when we are havin a field day and runnin our opponents ragged.Agreed the top four teams wldnt be defensive,but even the teams who av been askin questions of our defence sparingly are scoring @ will.The defence is just too pervious and Gallas is beginning to infect Toure with his imperfection.I just hope smthing is done but with this present way things are goin,we might as well be sharing and droppin every 2 points against those defensive teams,which of course is every team in the prem league excludin the top 4 teams and maybe Tott,Villa and boro.
