This is an issue that was addressed by me personally, the same day of the transaction. We were credited exactly what we charged, nothing more, I made that clear to him, I find it quiet amazing that after I told him to contact his bank, he came here to start a thread on the issue.

You are the owner of Cyberlinks, a hosting company in Nigeria and a startup. Considering this is your 9th post on nairaland, this is a cheap way to tarnish us.

We were only using the .com.ng temporarily before every customer gets used to the .com, we stopped using the .com.ng way back. I didnt know it was still active till i came across this thread.

Kindly reason before making such comments in the future. Most if not all our clients know we have stopped using .com.ng, because we made annoucements several times in regards and our emails are only @.com

Most people that complain here, don't use our support channels. If you look arround the net , you would find one way or the other complaints about big hosting companies in any forum, because either the customers are armatures or they just think its wise to complain in public forums. Most hosting companies have made it a policy to ignore complaints on public forums. Of course you wont find complaints about companies that have no less than 10 clients or so.

Yes there is something you can do. This I am assuming.

1. You subscribed for the hosting account.
2. You own the hosting account.

What you can do.
1. Login to your hosting account
2. Open the wordpress db, and over-ride the username email with yours, and use the forgot password feature of wordpress.

We had a problem with our datacentre and that has been resolved.

Microsoft can totally protect its software if it wants too, but it choose to pretend too. WHy? because it needs the existent of piracy to retain its markets dominance, as it still makes and would continue to make billions from corporations and government institutions.

If you want to protect your software, just provide regular updates and patches to your software, and make it affordable, if a software cost 10 USD for example, i would not go through the trouble of looking for a pirated one. Make it affordable, and many people would buy it rather than get a pirated one.

Why do you think they are no available blueray pirated games for ps3 for example? Because they are very costly to produce. Cost is a major factor, when it comes to consumers decisions in using pirated softwares or pirates decision in producing pirated copies for sale. If the cost of the pirated software for example is almost the same with the original, why would a consumer buy a pirated one? Or why would a pirate produce a pirated copy to sell?

When it comes to issues that has to do with peoples money, i try to be very honest with them. From what you have asked, I can assume that you have no business experience at all, and all you want is a business that has the prospect and the ability to give you returns on your money.

Nevertheless, it seems you are interested in investing into the fast food industry. My advice to you is if you have the money, buy a franchise. A franchisor usually educates the business owners (you the franchisee) and put the controls and checks in place to ensure that the trademark is properly represented and protected, whilst ensuring that you make enough to add to the revenue of the system and of course also pay the royalties.

Considering usually the franchise has a systematic business that really works, and is well proven with their track records, you would be alright. That way you would be both educated, and have your money invested into the industry you are interested in.

I am not sure, whether there are fast food franchisers in Nigeria, but i am sure some research or contribution by other members could help.
